The latest update has made things worse! No refresh option. Scrolling ad is a pain. Can't exit the app without having to click 20 times to get it off my screen! Hate hate hate it!!! Stop sending notifications!

seriously who is in charge of this? i deleted this a year ago for being garbage. i downloaded it again today thinking they muat have fixed it by now. lol was i ever wrong worse than before. i cant believe you at bdn allow this to still happen. if you dont care then why have a app at all? its time to move on to a new app and fire the idiot who you email about problems he she is as usless as this app!!!

C'mon guys. This app was finally starting to function reasonably well. Now the categories are displaying unrelated articles??? Sigh... This used to be my go to news app before Rumble took over. Shame.

Their old app used to be fast and very easy to use. This newer version is horribly slow and very frustrating to use.

I have noticed that different stories have the same picture. Need to make sure pictures match the story

Don't bother to download. It's a piece of steaming crap.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail, to the website we go. On the plus side, WLBZ works great!

On wifi Will not open!!!!

Old version was quick and worked well. New version slow on all counts, loading, scrolling, and refreshing. Just keep it simple, it works better that way. If a new company is developing for it, make them look at the old version and see how easy it was to consume news. I can read 1 thing and it will not go back without crashing. That's pretty bad by any app standard.

Freezes and goes to a black screen about 50% of the time I try to open an article.

Slow; crashes frequently and needs frequent restarts. How does this stay on Play?

Trying to look up obituaries and get the white screen of death... same when searching archived articles.

The constant freezing makes this app unusable.

Just using the app and the obituaries don't come up ..Their the last post in Downeast section was April of this year.. I thought this was local up to date news. Loading or nothing as usual..

I have no problem with the app. It's fast and accurate.

Great update.... Now your ads block the text instead of appearing in the gap provided for them like they did before the update. Do you guys bother to check your work at all or do you just mash a bunch of buttons and hope it works out?

They apparently changed app developers and this "Rumble" outfit managed to take a perfectly good, simple app and make it slick, colorful and completely worthless. Crashes within minutes after opening. Update 4/16. This app is almost unusable. (Galaxy 7) It hangs every time you open it and often requires a restart of my phone.

Slow slow slow! Terrible update. I contacted them right after the update and told them the old was better. They were snotty and rude.

Truly one of the worst apps I HAD on my phone and tablets. It's slow, prone to freezing and necessitating restarts. I do like to read BDN, but I guess I'll need to go to the website because this app seems to have been written and designed by a second rate company. BDN, I sincerely hope you did not pay too many $$ for this!

It use to be much better, I am a subscriber of the St John Valley Times and I use to be able to view everything on Facebook, but now it comes up as the Bangor Daily News and I cannot open anything.

I really don't lie this app, am deleting it off my tablet. It's so slow and hard to navigate. Obits are the worse, used to be able to swipe thru the pages but now it you click to view, the only way to exit is back arrow and that takes u out of obits completely! Not user friendly!

Following latest update this week, app initializes to blank screen but loads nothing else. Uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled: same issue. Using Nexus 10 with Android 5.1.1 (latest version for it).

I installed this update on both my phone and tablet. Content won't appear. I am sure they'll correct this. Don't install until they do.

This app is updated often, but, the stories take a long time to open and it crashes often.

The app updated itself yesterday. I am thrilled. The update made the app much faster. Thanks for fixing it. It is once again my go to app for Maine news.

App will not open. Tries to load but crashes every time.

I love love love the BDN, but this app is beyond maddening. It freezes after reading 1 article (if I'm lucky to even get that far). I don't understand there may be hiccups but this latest version is worse than ever. Sad but I'm going to have to let this one go.

Keeps hanging up . once it opened 18 tabs. This app don't work anymore.what have you done

App was great over the years and would have been a five star up until the updates. Like the new features but app is Slow...freezing...shuts down
