Only app I could find that enabled me to meet my cardio goals. works flawlessly with Polar H7 HRM and Podcast Addict on Android. history gives results by heart target ranges. very well built. I set it to tell me only my HR every minute - beautiful! (I don't care about pace) been running with it for three months & no issues whatsoever. great support response.

This is SERIOUSLY GOOD!!! Coming from MapMyFitness+, I'm quite pleased with everything this one has to offer. And all for free! It really makes you think twice before paying a monthly subscription only to have... er... nothing more and sometimes even less than what you can have here. Some aesthetic and usability choices are questionable but all in all the UI is clean and the menus are uncluttered. It really deserves more than 5 stars. Thank you for sharing your brilliant work with us ????

This application is amazing for an enthusiast runner. It tracks comprehensive stats and provides a high number of options in which to display and measure them. Navigation is simple and intuitive, it's incredibly easy to switch between exercise types or even change the type after an exercise is completed. Coming from runtastic and RunKeeper I prefer sportractive for its unassuming and non pushy method of delivering what runners want to see. I haven't once received a prompt to sign up, pay for workout plans or viewed an ad. The only issue I have had is it does not play nicely when opening my native music app from within sportractive but I simply open them separately with no issues. 5 stars!

Sportractive is a changemaker! There is no better app like this in this category. It gives a piece of mind and let you focus on what you are trying to do because the app neither is an adware nor a nagware. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Thanks Felix and Sportative team for creating and sharing such a useful app with extremely pious app. PS: I rarely leave comments like this only to app that meets extreme professional norms. Lo and behold, Sportatractive is it!

Great app for in/outdoor activities. Simple and clean layout. The only downside so far is that I'm not able to activate the calory burn counter. I'm pairing the heart rate with Bose Pulse ear buds. It easily detects heart rate, but does not activate calories burn function. Any hints?

I have a choice of choosing my first running app based on ratings and number of downloads. RunKeeper and Run with Mymap have over 10 million downloads! I chose Sportactive instead. And I immediately fell in love with it. An Android user, the Help cautioned me regarding GPS and Internet connection. From a small country I come from, this isn't an issue. The tracking is extremely accurate even with climb or decline. I simply love this app. Willing to pay up to 17 bucks for this free????app!????

Started using this app as recommend by Smashrun. Was a long time Nike user but I find that app still a bit buggy. However one feature I miss that was on Nike was auto pause and resume. I run in an urban area an sometimes have to stop at a traffic light. Auto pause and resume would be easier than having to pull out the phone, unlock, pause, then continue.

Poor GPS Connection. It connected only once or twice in 50+ attempts.Other GPS based apps are able to connect but not this one. Tried everything prescribed by Developer. But didn't work. Wrote email to Developer but got an auto answer that they can read my mail but won't reply back individually as they are short of time. Interestingly Developer has enough time to reply and criticize each and every reviewer who gives poor ratings, but no time to reply emails. Still many have given 5 stars so hope they continue to get enough free time to maintain and improve the app on time to time basis. All the best. Have a nice time.

I planned to do a 11kms jog. After doing 3-4 kms I realise that the GPS is not working. TERRIBLE APP. Complete waste of time and effort. PS: Thanks for the reply. But I guess nobody has the time to keep changing settings. One uses an app once, if it doesn't work, you find a replacement app. I had runkeeper previously. After I changed my phone, I forgot to install it. I guess I will use that. Anyways, thanks and all the best to you guys.

Tracks my runs, walks, bike rides and golf. Not sure about the calorie counter as my bike ride to work can give different counts for exactly the same route - maybe takes conditions into account. But overall, does everything I want with minimal fuss and has never failed to record an activity unlike some other apps I've tried. Good job!

Among the free ones is the one I like the most. Doesnt spam you with ads, interface complete and easy. Tip for the app team: I just wanted to install it in my girlfriend phone and I couldn't find it in the android market , while this morning I found it without problems. Someone is not being fair with you?

First day using it and I love it. Felix you guys have done a great job!!!! Does everything I need it to do. Maps my run, reminds me of pace ( however slow ????) and gives you a great summary. For an amateurish runner is great!! Will use it again tomorrow check for consistency ????

How is this app free?! I wish there was a premium version so I could support these amazing developers. This app blows the other top run trackers out of the water. At the beginning of the week I downloaded 4 different tracker apps so I could test them out against each other. This one won very easily for a few reasons. 1. No ads. At least I'm pretty sure there aren't, I can't remember seeing one. On other apps the ads are...less than subtle. It's quite annoying. 2. This app gives you features the other apps either don't have or make you pay for, like automatically recording temperature and choosing different lengths splits other than the default 1 mile. 3. The pace tracker on this app is more accurate. I noticed it detected my pace better and colored it accordingly on the GPS map (red for faster, green for slower) compared to the other apps. All in all, amazing app.

I really tried to like this app. When I would stop my activity to take a picture, sportractive would shot off. Also it would shut down if the battery got just a little bit too. Other apps never had that trouble!

The apperience looks simple and easy to use and applicable.I liked it at first sight, but used it 3times. Once it forgot to calculate the distance ,once no voice notification. And in all three times wrong tracking rout on map.any soloution?

by C####:

I LOVE this app. It's reliable, has good voice feedback, you can set goals and custom workouts and it supports a plethora of sports to choose from. I had an issue with GPS but it was caused by my phone's battery settings. After I turned off battery optimisation for this app, GPS started working perfectly.

C70%
by C####:

I hate that it takes control of my camera and snaps dozens of pictures while I run. If I wanted pictures of my dog's butt or my running path, I would take them myself! Then when I turned off the permissions for this app to use my camera, it said I cannot the app. Apps are supposed to work for the user not the other way around. Uninstall and find a less invasive app.

C70%
by C####:

Seems fine, but the GPS is not nearly accurate. Compared it with other app in parallel, so it is not a problem with my GPS or phone. Pity, as it sees fine app, but whats the point... Addendum: I have internet on, read all the instructions, of course. It is not what you suggest.

C70%
by C####:

I love the app specially the route map integratiom after run or cycling. Just one annoying thing it crashes sometimes when i run and i thought it is still working while i run but after i run found out that i did not record my run after it crash.

C70%
by C####:

Just what I needed. Edit: After the last update after a workout is finished and the save option comes up, when you select save it says "the run was not saved because it already exists", but it saves it anyway. But, the really annoying bug is that it does't upload it to smashrun anymore and you have to do it manually afterwards. Please, take a look at it and you will get your 5 stars back. Edit: It got fixed :)

It is excellent for a non commercial app. The only downside to me is the whit background that is dissy my eyes (intraocular lens), and the counter size is too small for weak sight. It is worth 5 stars if takes care injured eyes. Larger counter and black theme (or allow custom colors) will be appreciated very much!

Great simple app for tracking a run, walk, etc. The interface works well, once you get used to it. It took me a while to figure out to push the lock symbol to enable the pause and stop buttons.

Advantages You can use this app offline. You can maintain a log of your fitness regime. Easy to use. When you keep track of your workout. You feel motivate to do more . One thing I would like you to check that sometime it malfunction in providing details of location. Rectify that otherwise best app . Highly useful for a fitness enthusiast.

C70%

I just use it to track my full runs and consistency over each km. Does that perfectly well (Strava requires payment for that feature). Only issue is the voice is a bit quiet relative to your music so you hsve to have it loud to hear it (even though it lowers the music volume).

E70%
by E####:

GPS is not working properl... only searching the my current location. Not showing how much I have work out. Saying you have walk 0km and 0 hour's after I walk about 7 kilometres.. please check what is the problem????

UX is really good, much better than the usual suspects. Could Rower be added to the indoor sports? It's the only flaw I can find!

I switched to this app from Map my walk/Run about a month ago and so far I'm very pleased with it. It has been far more reliable with less glitches, and I love that it has voice controls that you tell you how far you've gone, and in what amount of time. Great app thus far... highly recommend!

Since the developer was somewhat disappointed with my review, here a few more details: 1. Providing a free app does not entitle you to 5* rating only. You want to improve, you'll have to address the problems. I regularly give 5* for great apps. 2. Auto-stop is a basic function that has been around for years, incl free apps. 3. Also GPS has problems. While my other apps could connect sportractive couldn't get a signal. Improve, and I'll be happy to change my review.

F70%

The only drawback for this app is the instructions for the interval training. I hope someday you would have a function for setting a route (specially for city runners) where voice prompts can also be used.

Constant pop up begging for 5 star review every time I open the app. No option to stop it. Infuriating.

C70%

GPS tacker works perfectly, pause option helps take a break for drinking water in between a run without having to stop. App works in background while I play music on some other app. Can improve by adding way to connect with other runners around world, share stats n health tips. The app doesn't keep running when phone is locked.

I've recently started running again, and this is a great way to keep track of my progress. Motivates me to see how I can push myself. Great job! Update: I've picked up outrigger canoe paddling too. This app is great at keeping track of where I'm going. Excellent!

Great app, free and privacy friendly. Only feature missing is corrected average speed to correct for stops (eg due to traffic lights). Keep up the great work.

Excellent app. Unlike other tracking apps here you don't need to pay to get access to important features like overall progress report.

C70%

Awesome app! More accurate GPS tracking than other apps I've tried. Can't believe it's free with all the features it has - have only used it for running and walking so far but it has been great

C70%
by C####:

After scouring numerous apps on the Play Store, I can confirm that this is the app with possibly the best mix of features to be used as a unified multi-activity tracker that covers most metrics. My only request is for the developer to create a companion Android Wear app and Google Fit sync capabilities for data persistence on the cloud. Also, weight/body metrics tracking would be fantastic too! Finally, to really be stretch my luck and be demanding, a web interface to review records would be a huge plus too! :P

C70%
by C####:

Better than Run My Map: - it takes less space - better GPS tracking - better organized tabbed user interface (all in one window) - backup feature - history of workouts with full editing possible - it's more complex (route import export as GPX format for other apps, pace avg and max, weather integration, stats and graphics generation for everything, reports based on many variables, etc.). What it's missing: - the ability to make the main window full of custom gauges with different stats by minimizing or removing the map - current time voice output - auto pause workout recording if I station more than 5 seconds. Thank you.

C70%

So far so good. Would be perfect if they would implement ANT+ support for Android phones so I can use my Garmin HRM strap. Keep up the good work.
