Buddy Runner for Android
I don't even see the textbox to enter email address for sync anymore. This app is abandoned by its developers, no bug fixes since 2009! There are many other apps that are actively developed and supported on the market. Try another
Just like an expensive gps watch. Like viewing & sharing the summary of my runs online. All good except my droid2 didnt ring for incoming call & text
Used to love this app. It worked on my G1, my G2, but now it doesn't work on my S3. Really bummed about it. Was one of my favorite apps. Please fix so I can live it again
I used this app to track my running for over a year. However, the development on the app and the web site stalled out. I eventually found another app that tracks the run, uploads it to a site, and both the web site and phone app have many options to view my individual runs.
This app doesn't work properly on Samsung Galaxy S5. You can't change settings at all. It's a useless app if you can't change settings especially when you can't change to km's.
Great app, i use it daily. I like the audible feed back i get durring my runs. Sometimes it loses satelite signal and will stop working. Not its fault
Easy to use, works well with music, audio updates fine. Last two runs indicated 3 miles more than I had run. Entire run in open sky view.
Tracked distance perfectly. Paused and restarted music well except near end of run. Also would only read current pace even when I set it to read total
Seems like it would should be great. However the map always starts off just outside Kansas City! Hitting My Location does nothing.
But does not appear to work with my Galaxy S3. No GPS lock. I wish there was a way to transfer my past runs to another service/app
Worked great once upon a time! Now it doesn't track distance at all! App always fails to maintain GPS connection.
Good app. Absolutly merks the battery. Great app if you walk everywhere as well. Whats up with Flash on the dashboard though? Bit thoughtless!
Gps lock stopped working. This used to be my favorite app.
Love this app. If only my phone werent so delicate! Im afraid I'll drop/lose it running.
Worked great for a couple of months. Now it's cutting off the music player & not announcing distance and pace. I will try reinstall
So 'simple', its sparse and uninteresting. Functions perfectly on moto droid 2.1. But doesnt do anything more tham gps / time with a poor UI.
Couldn't be happier. I am able to keep better track of my runs and I don't have to remember every turn by turn in order to plot my course at the end
App works alright, though cuts off tracking if text or phone call comes in. FB sharing does not work, developer unresponsive. Switched to RunKeeper.
Mileage is a big problem, but not the only one. I find it unusable. Surprising to have such gps problems in nyc central park.
Works fine for a mile or two, and then it stops tracking without telling you. Lost half my trip because it stops tracking. GPS stays on though.
Great app when it works, which sadly is <50% of the time lately. False starts & stops, no way to fix stats online, developer unresponsive. D1.
Really nice program. I've had a little problem with reliability of the GPS, but after troubleshooting through website may have resolved the problem.
GPS has issues. Won't track where I am or says that 2 steps is .5 miles. Weird. I just close the app. I love it when it works though
Okay, so after having used this app as much as I have now, I have to say it is a waste of time. The online sharing from the website through Facebook and such does not work. The app on the phone has false starts and simply fails too often. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.
Love it...but developer never replies. Have asked for option to remove maps due to privacy concerns.
Not always reliable. There were times when the app would tell me to start my workout and wouldn't track my run until 15min into it.
Its accurate most of the time. Theres been a rare moment or two when it was way off and sometimes it crashes if i jog while listening to pandora.
Love tracking via upload to website. 1st use app would auto announce my pace every half mile, but 2nd & 3rd use no more auto announcements?? Droid
Web dashboard is decent, but flash based so forget about looking at it on your phone. Keeps losing GPS connection while other apps don't.
It tracks you on gps very well, but if u are running on a path it doesn't record your distance
Love most of this. Just cant find or DOESNT give settings to allow ur music to cont. to play after audible notification plays. U restart music-Droid2
Great app!Gives updates at predetermined intervals, allows me to run last FM in the background & uploads data to web so I can track my progress online
Used today for a half Marathon and it worked perfectly. Really helped me with my pace and overall race time. This program really made a difference.
Would be nice to be able to modify for discrepancies in gps, like stop lights, etc. Otherwise out is great.
6 mile bike ride on Little Blue Trace Trail . Dead on compared to bike comp. Needs bike mode for calories. Love it though!
Works great while streaming Pandora in the background on Droid. Wish the stop, pause & resume buttons were stacked & bigger instead of side by side
Loved how they let you know your distance and time through out the run; didnt like that it stopped working halfway through run
Decent at what is advertised, but cardio trainer gives more features and its base is free as well.
This worked well at one time, but since updates won't track distance at all, only time, making it next to useless. Droid2. Uninstalling.

I found out a way to get buddy runner working again. It will recognize the satellite GPS system when you turn on "Maps" navigation and pick out any destination. Turn off sound on maps so you can hear BuddyRunner and your music. Been working great now for several days on my Bionic and the original Droid.
