Splitomatic is an app to split expenses of a trip, event or anything where money is being shared among people.
Going on trip with friends, organising a shared event or anything where you need to share expenses, Splitomatic will be the perfect app to share expenses in an easy way and to ensure the dues are settled with minimum number of transactions among people.
How it works:
Lets say there are 7 persons on a trip.
1.Enter trip details and persons to the trip and you are ready to go.
2.Enter trip expenses with following details
a) Who paid for the expense (Person 1,2,3...7, there can be multiple payers too).
b ) Among whom the expense was split (The split can be even or uneven).
Based on the expense details the app will automatically generate the Split Report for entire trip stating who owes whom and how much. The app ensures that the transactions between persons on the trip to settle the dues is minimum. So no need to divide each and every expense, just enter expenses and and the app will do the rest.
Other features:
Settlements: For a long trip or long event, you may want to settle the dues every week or so.To keep track of these transactions you can add settlements. The app will consider the settlements while generating the split.
Individual Details: Total Amount Paid,Spent by each person.

Share Trips: To avoid the hassle of one person keeping track of all expenses and adding them to the app, the app provides the feature of sharing the trip with other people on the trip.This way one single person doesn’t have to manage and add all the expenses. All people with whom the trip is shared with can add expenses to the trip and it will get synced among all the devices.
Multiple Currencies: A trip can have expenses in multiple currencies. The app will do the conversions and generate reports in the currency of your choice. Conversion rates can be downloaded or entered manually.
Trip Reports: PDF trip reports can be mailed from the app.

The changing of the different currency feature to only being for premium users in an update was a pain as we'd already been using the app a while in 3 currencies. The app also crashes when you select the tabs without fail - can be avoided by swiping to change tab, but having it crash is scary since all of the information is on it. We regularly took screenshots as back ups, but yeah. Should've changed app, really.

Overall the app is amazing!! But I would like one more feature, if I can just take a picture of the receipt using the app and the app can read it automatically.... Then I just need to click which items were ordered by which person and the service charge is shared equally... Then with just one click, the app calculates how much each person should pay.... If the app has this feature, it would definitely be the best app in this field ever!!!

Used to work great. Now syncing doesn't work. Also, there's a glitch that hides your keyboard when you switch to the currency field. Makes it hard to select a currency!

Back shouldn't abandon entry, save isn't always clear. Have to click multiple times to achieve a some 50/50 split. However, works and supports multiple currencies so I will carry out using.

Need to fix: 1. Add people thumbnail will cut the original photo 2. Add people should use phone books' one and the email & thumbnail also get the right contact's info 3. Click into edit Trip basic detail, also has bugs, like no response/just change title but detail not show/double show the details /detail on the top and menu at the bottom Suggest add a people pool, not need to add people once again when create a new trip

Perfectly working app with enough options and settings. Also a dedicated developer that once helped me quickly resolve my issue by releasing an update in less than 24 hours. I'll give this a 5 star only if the interface gets revolutionised to the level of professional apps.

As the compulsively perennial trip-planner amongst my circle of friends, this app is already an indispensable arrow in my quiver. At first, some friends didn't trust the splits calculated, but now we don't even think about it. At the end of the holiday, nobody wants to do arithmetic... and now we don't need to. However, the UI is a bit clunky, and in need of streamlining... I will look forward to regular updates, hopefully! The fifth star is within reach...

Really a cool app to split ur expenses wen u hang out with ur gang.. shows error and closes automatically.. if not definitely 5 stars.. Pls some app shud bring in d synchronise option so dat frnds can also add or view expenses..
