This app is a brilliant simple tool to use your tablet as a second monitor but it does have some limitations, for example the resolution sent to my tablet screen is 1024x768 leaving dark (unsymmetrical) bands on either side of the image on my tablet screen. this is not adjustable but neither does it limit the usefulness of having a second wireless monitor for my laptop for the cost of essentially £3. I would definitely recommend this app but under the assumption the developers are continually improving it's features which as a new user I am yet to see. I am using a laptop running windows 10 and a lenovo A-10 70 tablet on android kitkat (4.4)

This app is very helpful for productivity on the go. This app has been very useful and worked flawlessly until today. Now everytime I use XDisplay to connect my table to my Macbook Pro it only allows me to use remote view. I want my external monitor back. Please help quick. I paid for the full app and I really do NOT want to have wasted my money. EDIT: I have resolved the issue regarding the application. 5 stars now. FOR OTHER USERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE: In order to resolve this problem you must go to splashtop"s website and install the XDisplay WIRED download.

Nexus 7, running Lollipop. I was able to run this app and connect to my MacBook Pro, the drivers that were installed didn't include a resolution that would fit-to-screen. It's a 7 inch tablet! Don't you want to use all the real estate of it?! Needless to say I am trying other apps out. I don't want to upgrade my tablet, and if I did I would still want to dedicate this one to my second screen. Attached to my 32" monitor. Dedicated to Slack, and Hangouts so I don't have to constantly switch on my main display. Lame.

C70%
by C####:

It does work... But only if you need to use your computer for five minutes and don't mind a slow, laggy interface. After that you need to but the paid app but I doubt that would fix the lag.

C70%
by C####:

5min? Seriuosly? I dont mind paying, but first I want to know if its the right product for me. After a couple of 5min sesions you gave me, I still have no idea. Uninstall

W70%
by W####:

While the app does it's job just fine, it's a little laggy. Also, it would be awesome if it could support a higher resolution than the current 1024 x 768

S70%
by S####:

Connects but then diconnects. No rhyme or reason. Nothing but a black screen of "why did I install their junk on my desktop?"

C70%
by C####:

Also the 5 min trial is a joke. Companies that do this have a lot of issues that they are aware of.

G70%
by G####:

The five minute limitation is total bs. No reason to have it so why. Weren't for that I may give it a better rating.

C70%
by C####:

Splashtop streamer is no longer a download on their site, and this app does not see the computer with Splashtop Personal installed. Does not work.

C70%
by C####:

Although can connect and works, unable to change resolution to match native resolution of tablet. Ran out of time to troubleshoot.

F70%
by F####:

Streamer doesnt allow brightness changes. And it doesnt work on windows 10....

Q70%
by Q####:

Works as advertised on my TF701 by asus. Latency could be better. I have to setup the resolution I want before connecting or else it just goes to the max resolution of my tablet. Already had Splashtop streamer because I'm a current customer of splashtop remote. No issues so far.

X70%
by X####:

Completely failed to do what it advertises, and there is no support beyond forum posts full or people having the same issues, but no answers to these issues, save your time and money.

X70%
by X####:

The android app is great and works fine. but the streamer messed up my laptop driver. I am unable to change brightness. as soon as i uninstalled it, it started working again. i'm on dell 3542 laptop win 8.1.

X70%
by X####:

seriously? that's not even enough time to set all my windows up! Seriously! I'm half way setting things up and I disconnects saying "Buy a License"

X70%
by X####:

I'm using a Nexus 7. I get the thing configured, but have to use compatability mode otherwise the app crashes tablet-side. The lag is unbearable, it's running at 2fps! I can barely do anything, and to top it all off, I find out it was a 5 minute trial even though it hardly mentioned that on the page, and it's asking me to fork out cash for this garbage! Ha! It would be easier and less hassle to just buy yourself a second monitor than get this bull!

I70%
by I####:

It only supports windows 7 but i have windows 10. Now how can i use this app ? Will give 5 stars after an update for win 10 compatible app.

R70%
by R####:

Downloaded this app and it wont work, couldn't find the refund button so got stuck paying for this horrible app

U70%

"Unfortunately, Splashtop XDisplay has stopped. Every single time. Nexus 7, Android 5.1 stock, no root, etc

X70%
by X####:

Why can't you login with ur Email + Pass from Ur original splashtop account. fack! I do not want to disturb my dad......

M70%
by M####:

Don't even have to be computer savvy. Just need to know how to read. The app itself seems to work fine but a little laggy. Maybe this is due to my ages old TF 101. Still deciding on if I should get the paid version.

X70%
by X####:

Useless. It only mirrors an existing display - does not extend the desktop. Windows 10.

S70%
by S####:

Slow, laggy, and while 1280 x 720 is technically HD, it is not pretty on today's high end 1080p and 1600p mobile displays. When I connected to my tablet, the refresh rate on my monitor drops considerably. This is unacceptable on considering I am running it on an Nvidia GTX 860M chip.

X70%
by X####:

Does not work with Windows 8 or 10

F70%
by F####:

The instant it streams 60fps by USB cable it's a must have app and I will buy. Until then. No thanks. Also try and support Ubuntu for more awesomeness

T70%
by T####:

Doesn't work with Windows 8!

X70%
by X####:

Won't let me set up security key on PC. Help me get this app working. And start replying to reviews.

L70%
by L####:

5 minutes, seriously? Someone greenlighted that experience journey as the one that would get the money rolling in? And your description doesn't make it clear enough that the connection will immediately fail if it even sniffs anything other than Windows 7. I've just wasted 5 minutes on this. Five whole minutes.

X70%
by X####:

This is a scam. After buying it worked for about a half an hour and then it no longer worked. No support and they will not respond to a refund request.

M70%
by M####:

It seems like a good app if it worked. Will give more stars if fixed

P70%
by P####:

Got all the way through set up, linked laptop to tablet no problem. Tablet was black screen... splashtop "stopped working" numerous times. Please fix!

X70%
by X####:

Android app crashes with "Unfortunately, Splashtop XDisplay has stopped."

X70%
by X####:

I'm glad that I tried it first or I had to regret about it

X70%
by X####:

Seems to be the same as splashtop 2. No difference. Bummer

F70%
by F####:

It is very buggy and also why does it ask for security code when it is left unchecked in settings?

N70%
by N####:

Could use a better syncing process. Could only use for 5 minutes. In those 5 minutes, I could only get it to work for a few seconds at a time before the app crashed. A total waste of time. You might as well do without it.

X70%
by X####:

I like chrome remote desktop better than this cr**

X70%
by X####:

Some people have complained that the 5 min trial doesn't give you enough time to install the streamer on to your computer before the trial expires. There is, however, a window that asks you to install the streamer first, before you log into the app. So pay attention to that. However, for me it didn't work. I connected my tablet and laptop just fine, but the tablet displayed only the desktop and the icons in the bottom toolbar/tray (Windows 8). I could click on those icons on the tablet, and the programmes would open on my computer, but on my tablet all I could see were the bottom toolbar and the desktop background. At least I know not to buy it!

K70%
by K####:

Consider myself extremely computer savvy, in the 5 minutes it gave me to configure the secondary screen, I had nothing but problems. It doesn't give you enough time to see if the program will actually work or not
