Splashtop Remote PC Gaming THD

Splashtop has abandoned the original (version 1) streamers and their clients. The latest version of the streamer application (3.0.6.3) has completely dropped internet discovery support for the initial Splashtop clients. Splashtop has abandoned their original paid clients in favour of a freemium subscription model. One may as well use the first party RDP client from Microsoft for Android.

Internet discovery does not work. I bought this app to be able to play games and control my computer from anywhere. Even using Streamer v2, internet discovery always gives the same password error. I want a refund.

Keyboard doesn't work on Windows login screen

They neglect to tell you that splashtop only supports full screen mode from games IF you have a nVidia GeForce graphics card. If you have an ATI Radeon HD you can only play games that support windowed mode... I bought this before I realized it. It really should have been in bold print somewhere. And I could never get the custom touch buttons to register correctly either. You can use a bluetooth controller through your tablet, but all my games are through steam, which until recently with their Steam Controller, only registered a wired or wireless Xbox 360 controller to play.

There is no if not little support for this app it does not support any type of mouse only touch, some of the controls are very touchy at times. Going on to performs is good for lower rez tablets but anything over 1080p it just bad getting around 15 fps. My system that im streaming from has 980ti and it is wired still very poor stream for higher rez. For mouse support and higher rez just use moonlight streaming.

I was a bit scared to try the app, however after my first try to connect it worked flawlessly with my game "Runescape" and has no lag what so ever on a good wifi connection. If you are having issues talk with splashtop technical support as they are there to help you and very knowledgeable with their program! Worth EVERY cent!

Its the best solution for remote gaming. Maybe you could make splashtop v2 as stable and compatible. There are three things that can be implemented though. 1 numpad support, 2 a shortcut to change fast between gaming and remote desktop controls and 3 windows 10 multi touch support.

I use this to play World of Warcraft on my phone. Thank you so much for the security updates.

it is also compatible with ipega controller. unfortunately no more option to change into smooth?

It's a great app, but needs to include buttons like "," and "." Along with extra symbols

I have tried this app on 3 devices now. My brand new nexus 7, my android TV box, and my galaxy s5. I know at least the nexus and the TV box far surpass the requirements for the app to work but they just refuse to or shut down. This happens even when modifying the visual aspects. If you can solve this after I've paid so much I will gladly change my review

This app is broken..how come I can't input the password to login in to my PC with this $10$20 dollars app but i can with the free version without a problem? ..how come there is a tear (like 3 black lines across the screen of my shield tablet ) flickering at all times but the free version looks perfectly fine?..come on guys..would you please fix this problem?..it makes no sense that an app I paid premium price for does not work as well as the free version..I have a shield tablet running android lollipop. +Update: now it can't even find my PC(connected to the same network)..but again the free version works perfectly fine..wtf is this?!!!..I regret buying this app..I recommend anyone thinking in buying it to stay away from it till someone gets it fixed.

I went online and found an apk floating out there (I still paid for it on the playstore I used it on my nexus) and installed it, works great even on a phone!

This app used to work perfectly on a Note 12.2 streaming Windows 8.1 running at 60fps at 1080p. I upgraded to Win 10 and it no longer supports fullscreen gaming. Fix please.

This app used to be great. Now updating your graphics drivers means losing fullscreen for games. A quick search of the website shows many disgruntled buyers being told windowed mode is just as good. It's not. They did add controller support though if you're willing to run a command line prompt on Windows pc. It's supposed to be for Xbox but I use an ps3 controller and it works wirelessly rooted with sixaxis connecter on nexus 10.

Maybe this is a good up app but I wouldn't know. Can't find a single configuration that allows me to play full screen. I can use a windowed mode but I could already do that in splashtop 2. What am I getting extra? Doesn't except input from my shield controller either. I'll stick to the shield hub until they can deliver this app in a way that makes sense for people, who simply want to game without having to take a class at MIT.

I enjoy this app so much, but I wish it made an update that allows to play without your computer once in a while.

Google currently blocks logging in via this app as it "doesn't meet modern security standards". Paid full price for this and am utterly unable to use it via the internet.

thought it was cool then i bought a mouse and realized that gaming with this software and a mouse is impossible. avoid like the plague!!!

Works great, easy setup. The app is not the problem, the computer needs to be able to powerful enough, but there is a little lag.

It works for slow paced mmos and such. But why would you put "Dissconnect Session" on right mouse button.. seriously.. it´s not like you use that one when doing any sort of remote to a windows computer or so. And why cant i change it? :/

The splash top 2 and the thd are amazing.The only complain that I have is that I can't connect my moga.Pls fix

was great until it stopped working, used it all the time. ( it is just THD and normal splashtop. personal still works and splashtop works on my computers without a problem)

To all those complaining about being unable to switch gaming profiles, they obviously didnt read the onscreen prompt that opens the first time you launch the app, a simple 3 finger tap and you swap profiles

I've just upgraded to a Shield tablet and wanted to run Warcraft, works great better than expected

I tried both this and splashtop 2 for in-house gaming. My rig is powerful as is my internet. The lag on this is unplayable, but I found the latency issue to disappear on Splashtop 2. However on that other app there is no way to control the mouse for any fps style game without it freaking out. Apparently this is a known issue for the last two years and no one at Splashtop has fixed it. This has been a terrible purchase on my part.

Really handy for multitasking on a shared monitor/TV. Good connections and security features, stable performance.

Fantastic app allows me to play Archeage remotely when I can't be` at my PC. A few additional features would make it perfect, but wellnworth the price!

Use Splashtop 2 Remote Desktop for free instead. This app has horrendous lag whenever I use the regardless of connection speed, constant crashes, and rarely holds a connection longer than 2 minutes.

Must give this 5. Playing eq, wow, and a few others with zero lag on my home network. A bit too laggy away from home but still works for any non-action gaming.

Disconnects non stop and doesn't work if I'm not using the same WiFi network making this app a waste of money

Normal pc use, netflix, gaming your gonna need a good connection or else it will be choppy
