Splashtop Remote Desktop HD

yet another half-assed android app. very limited settings. missing button to log off of session, forcing you to close the entire app. tiny, almost miniscule buttons on top of the window. does anyone test these apps before publishing?

Not bad. How do you switch between screens when connected to a desktop that has multiple monitors? I don't see how to make that happen. Otherwise very nice.

I can get so much done because I can work from my tablet just as well as from my laptop. Thank you for this product!

I use it to keep connected with work programs from my tablet. I use a bluetooth controller with a keyboard with it and I don't miss my computer at all!

It definitely completes the circle of using a tablet for everything.

It took a while to set up initially but I'm now able to access my home PC from abroad. I started with the free version, an Asus TF300 and Windows 8.1 and am now using the paid version with an Xperia Z4 tablet and Windows 10 with no problems. Very useful for checking that everything's OK and fixing minor problems.

Love it and use it when Im working from home. Im a professional mixing engineer and producer and when mixing in the box its incredible easy to use. Just add chromecast function and this will be the best app ever created. Cheers from Stockholm Sweden.

Trying to play media video on pc to view on tablet is jerky, likely refresh rates are low on sent image. Access pc to do simple tasks are great, internet, folder management, office etc. I recommend this app

Can connect fine to Windows 10 when on Wifi at home but when trying to connect remotely with my account set up for this i.e. 4G wifi from another location finds device (eventually) but does not connect. I just keep getting timeout errors. This is on a full 4G signal.

I am now using the app on a Galaxy Note Tab Pro and it works great. Highly recommended.

I've used Splashtop Remote Desktop HD for 3-4 months now. I'm a frequent business traveler and work remotely from home when I'm not on the road. This product has completely changed the way I use my tablet for work, travel, and leisure. I can (and do) walk away from my desk with a WiFi hot-spot or 3G tether and have full access to all my applications and documents with Outlook Email and Office. When I'm at a meeting or conference I leave my laptop behind altogether or keep it stowed and out of the way while I work with my tablet. When at play, what can I say -- my laptop still out performs my android device in many ways -- if it didn't, I'd dump it in a heart beat and go PC-less altogether -- but with Splashtop HD I'm constantly in possession of an interactive 10" window to my more capable system with no strings or wires attached.

Tried many of the other remote control for desk tops and this one consistently worked the best and was lower cost them some of the other options

Works great on Cube 9x - Android 4.4.2. No need to go upstairs to PC!

Does what it says, slight lag, but very good

I use Splashtop to get my Windows 7 onto my Asus TF300t, and it works really well. My computer is very fast and use it through HD when I am in other rooms in the house through my Android tablet.

Just got my Nexus 7 and this added functionality and value to my tablet. Simple to set up and no problems so far. My most needed app to date.

At least I still have local access to my media from this app, shame they have now decided to fleece the android home user. A little bit of favouritism towards ios here, as we will end up paying when they still have free access maybe they should have stuck with the app store if that's how they think.

The free version. seemed to work better than this one. I got this because the free one was a solid connection and this HD version was advertised to be smooth and hd. All of a sudden I can't connect to either of my pc's. It worked when I installed it, although it's kinda Skippy and jumps around the screen a bit, at least it connected. Hmmmm. I would send a report to the developer but after reading the EULA I decided to not do that, it's obnoxious. It's too late for a refund. I hope reinstalling it will help, if it does I will 're rate it. i want my ten bucks refunded!

First the setup to access away from home is a pain and doesn't work. Second, support even after contacting them only sent me to the support forum. I did all those steps to no avail. They also want you to use your Google login information to access over the internet, not a great solution in my opinion. I sent another message to support and have no response. It's very unimpressive and in my opinion poor customer service. I'm uninstalling the app and want a refund. ....still waiting for a response 4 days after posting this review. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED

Worked straight away, best way to use nexus 10 as a second monitor over wireless for a win 7 pc

So far so good the app runs well and is excellent with my nexus 7 controlling 2 separate win8(both with vm linux distros running as well), machines. Though my main issue is with there being far to many splash top options in the play store. so on my other android devices the HD does not work and im not sure if i have to buy another version or not

Website seems to be mostly dead links for Linux support. Very frustrating for your paying customers. Don't put links up if they don't work. I'm headed over to team viewer.

Great app really smooth most of the time kinda laggish at times when viewing videos but i am not sure if that is just because of my wifi connection used to work perfectly fine with my swift keyboard app but no longer works with it dont know why so now i am stuck with just using the default google keyboard which sucks because i use this app on a daily basis and just annoying that i have to keep switching in between please fix it!!! :)

I used to love this software but now with the recent update it no longer works on my Toshiba thrive tablet. Please help me get this back as it was. I had a Personal Cloud and I was in love with this product. You did the same as Microsoft and forced an update on me that then destroyed the wonderful experience your software had given me. Please offer more than compatible mode. I also use Splashtop Remote but it seems to lack some of the features of HD. Remote does not seem to work with my mouse like HD did. Remote seems to be less able to stream audio and video as well as HD. I thought I had the best of Android and a PC with your wonderful product. I am so disappointed in this latest change. I have a Toshiba Thrive which has a full size HDMI port and file manager application that most Android devices lack. I could hook it up to a full size monitor with my keyboard / mouse combination and the experience was just as you promised "Like running my PC from anywhere in the world." Please Please help me get th
