Splashtop Remote Desktop

Bought the app $5 then in order to use it you have to pay monthly unless you're on the same WiFi network and the computer you want to use ... doesn't say this any where in the description of the app CAN I GET A REFUND! Just get Google Chrome remote desktop it's free! On a review of the app it's self, the best for remote work/play on your PC from your phone, really is a great product just wish they gave the monthly fee info on the Google store

It works very fast over WiFi. Even audio sounds good. Couldn't play some STEAM games through it, too much graphics for the android app. But everything else looks great in Windows & even PC Windows iTunes plays well through to my android phone ! THANK YOU ! :-)

Love being able to control my computer I made! With a good signal I can stream my Blu-rays to my phablet with Highest Resolution and Good Sound! Better then the App CrazyRemote I purchased for more money!

Removed internet discovery and made it a subscription. Can only connect to LOCAL WIFI COMPUTERS NOW. I can go upstairs and control my computer when home. I can't control it when I'm not home which is the reason I got this in the first place!

Excellent app! I use this to stream wirelessly between my phone and t.v. Use a wireless mouse and a Swype keyboard.

I basically just use this as a wireless keyboard and mouse so that k can watch TV and stuff from bed without having to get up or actually have to keep a kb&m by me. Latency is a huge issue, I have 7.6 Mbps down and 1.4 Mbps up (which is probably my bottleneck) and it simply isn't enough if you want to use this as a ghetto shield like Linus did. Keep that in mind if that's why you want to buy this

They removed the remote over Internet feature, which was the only reason I purchased this app 2 years ago. Pretty sure removing a feature I paid for its illegal, just saying.

.only sometimes keeps on disconnecting. Solve that and u get 5 stars..

It's easy and hassle free to watch ur PC screen. Great. Better than team viewer.

I paid for app (2012) so I could access computer from anywhere. They disabled this access so now I can only access the computer from home on WIFI. How lazy am I that I can't go to my computer at home??? I wanted to access when not at home which is why I paid for this now useless app.

Seems they want you to buy the subscription based version. This one no longer works

Used Splashtop on my old phone Note 3 and worked great. Upgraded to the Galaxy S7 Edge and can no longer access settings to add internet discovery settings. All it needs is a button to bring up that menu. Hope the change will be made soon. Update: No updates to fix this in several weeks looking for an alternative.

This new update is coming up with the 505 error code. I've done all of the things you've suggested and it will not update. I paid for this app but you guys are not doing your job.

Long press the back button, select settings, select internet discovery. Yay! Still works! And Works with media center video (pre win 10)-provided it is not full screen. How awesome is that?!

Used to be fully fledged worth 5*, removed features to use away from home and put them in a subscription with no notification for existing users. I paid for the app and supported it since 2013. Uninstalled and not impressed.

Old versions were better.. need to get on that soon the mouse is choppy now the mouse buttons can't be moved I can't run in the resolution of my choice like really wtf are you people thinking "oh hey let's remove some features and call it an update" this crap needs to be reverted

Removed Internet discovery. This paid app is now worthless.

Been using this for years. Love it. Internet discovery still working perfectly on Android Marshmallow build.

The last Kitkat Google Keyboard update broke it. Been about a month now and still waiting for Splashtop to send out a fix.

I agree with post regarding the removal of Internet discovery. This app is utterly useless unless you are on a local network. It used to be great but now, it's about as useful as a 9600 baud modem.

This app used to be the best. I paid for phone and tablet versions for a fully functional remote app. They removed the "Internet Discovery" feature that made this a great app. Now you have to be on WiFi to use the app, unless you want to set up pretty forwarding. I can still get the functionality I paid for...if I pay them $16 a year for a subscription for an app they haven't crippled. Just get Chrome Remote Desktop.

This app so is so functional. It has saved me so many times when I need access to my desktop and I'm miles away. Most important: it never lets me down. It always does what I need it to do. Edit: 8 months later still the best! Edit 6 months later still the best. There was a 90 second delay in connecting. That lasted for a couple of months. I almost "kicked it to the curb" but all is fine now. Connects right away when app is opened. Thank goodness. Edit: Saturday, 20 February, 2016 still the best.

i don't know if it's because my phone isn't top of the line, but before the last two updates it worked reasonably well. now i have to reconnect like5 or 6 times, ctrl+alt+del, and hope i can get it to connect. it never shows up via the ip address, only the Google connection. i paid for a full year of service, now kind of regretting that. it worked fine when i first got it, but now barely works. idk if it's because I'm trying to play ffxiv remotely or what, but kinda bummed. seems like a good program at 1st.

Great app but cant type, backspace (delete) works but if you try typing anything it doesnt work.

I'm only able to use this on 2 devices. It would be nice to be able to use it on more devices. But still very very nice app.

LG G4 5.1 - Great app, but where's the menu button?!? Splashtop support got back to me after a few days. Long-press the task switch button to call up menu. Who knew?

Bought this app years ago and it's worked great now they want you to pay a yearly fee. Don't bother other free solutions out there that won't bait and switch. Really disappointed.

I have experience with security cameras ip address setups and cannot get this to connect. All it does is find the PC which is signed on, and fails to connect. Do yourselves a favor and spend the $5 on a scratch ticket instead of wasting it here.

I use this app on my blackberry playbook and my Z30 and I made the switch to Android and it works just the same. It's perfect over the internet, you just sign in with your Google ID and BAM you're connected. It was a little difficult to find the area of the settings where you actually sign into your Google ID and I can't even remember how I did it but I found it eventually and logged in and like I said, BAM.

I've used this program on tablets and several different Samsung Notes. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and it no longer works the way it used to. It will show the computer I want to connect to but it will not connect. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

This is an amazing app. Easy to set up and use, but the only (and I mean only) drawback is that you need to be on the same Wi-Fi network to access your pc. If this were possible on a mobile network too, this would be the perfect, must have app.

Very nice to have access computer. You people that are rating this program for what it cannot do; are idiots. You need to rate programs for what they can do. And this program does a very good job for cheap. 5 stars. And I would love to see remote start. Hey I would pay extra! Thank you guys for a great product.
