About Garden Fairies Statues Design
One of my favorite ways to create a magical atmosphere in your garden is to use garden fairy statues. These beautiful creatures can make you feel like your just stepped into a world where fairies and dragons are real. Here are some beautiful flowers to pair with your fairy garden statues to really make your garden unique.
Formal or informal? What should you do. Formal gardens are great (but a lot of work), and they do look good with mythical creatures gracing their beds. But unless you are planning to do a large fairy fountain, then your garden fairy statues are going to look more at home in a garden that is full of fairies.
Lots of people think that informal gardens are messy, but they don't have to be. While never as precision as a formal garden, informal gardens can be beautiful places for your garden fairies to make their home.
The best plants for making a magical fairy garden are roses, climbers, and cottage perennials. All of these will make you feel like you've been transported into an ancient world where fairies still work their magic. My favorite climber is clematis. Clematis is an absolutely gorgeous plant and comes in many varieties. It takes a couple of years to really take off, but the results are well worth it. If you grow clematis on a fence then a fairy that is a fence hugger will be perfect.
Of all the flowers on the planet, nothing creates an old world feel like roses. Roses have become much easier to grow over the last decade or so. You can now get carpet roses (my favorite), roses in a bush and climbing roses. It is a good idea to give roses their own bed, because they don't like competition. You will want several varieties to give a magical effect that will work great with your garden fairy statues.
Fairies need to be placed in a garden bed that looks like they would naturally call it home. Garden perennials are fabulous for that. When you are planning a perennial bed, take into account the bloom times of the plants as well as your climate and sunlight. That way you will have flowers that bloom all season. Your garden fairies will feel right at home in a bed like this.
Combining the right plants with garden fairy statues brings an immediate sense of whimsy to your garden. They will brighten your home up and make you smile.
It doesn't matter what type of fairy you choose for garden fairy statues. Just be sure that they suit your style and budget. That way you can enjoy them for many years to come.
Garden fairy statues are one of my favorites in the world of garden statues, and for good reason... They are cute and beautiful and they really enhance your flower garden. Here are some of the flowers that will give you the best results in creating a magical flower garden.
When you are using whimsical and mythical garden sculptures you pretty much need to go with either very formal gardens (think English gardens) or very informal gardens (think cottage gardens). If you are using dragons, griffins, or gargoyles in your design than formal is the way to go. But for fairies, informal gardens will be your best bet.
Many people think of an informal garden as an overgrown mess, but that doesn't have to be the case at all. To get a neat look, you just need to choose the right plants for your fairies to find a home.
Of course, I do have favorite plants for incorporating into a magical fairy garden. They include roses, climbers, and cottage perennials. When it comes to climbing plants, clematis top my list. You can do clematis in two different ways. The first way is to simply allow the clematis to climb up your fence. This works very well if you use several different types of clematis, so that it blooms all season. Use fairy statues that can attach to your fence and peak from between the plants. The second way is to use a single plant on a garden obelisk. This plant can them become the centerpiece of your garden.
