Moonlite Storytime Projector

The activation codes that come with the storytime projector do not work. And it's not a case of not being able to tell the difference between a capital I and a lowercase l. They have a sticker printed over the original code on the cardboard and that code Denver Works no matter how I try to put it in. But if I try to take that sticker off I'm going to rip the cardboard and not be able to see the code on the original cardboard card.

It's a nice product but I don't understand why you want access to my camera and photos. This is a kids product and I don't want anyone looking at my kid without my knowledge. I really want to know why it keeps prompting me to give access. You can turn on the flashlight manually

I just bought this for my son and the activation code doesn't work so I can't use the story reels it's making me buy them again!! Please help!!

Terrible first impression. Product launch seems rushed since activation codes are causing trouble for numerous customers. Product help on this issue is cumbersome, circular, and frustrating. This product would be returned If it were not received as a gift.

I tried to use this on Christmas day and it does not show everything was blurry I hate this thing I will be returning it

Kids love it and so do I. The code took a few tries to decipher but definitely worked. Can't wait for more stories to be made ♡

You have to give permissions for this app to take pictures and videos from your phone to access the flashlight mode. The projector is designed for right handed people. I hold my phone with my left it's so awkward trying to manually turn the reel. Boo! One open slot on the opposite side would have easily solved this issue. The phone becomes top heavy with the reel attached. Then having to "turn a page" by swiping to read the plain texts "story" while you hold the phone at the ceiling then turn the reel was initially uncomfortable. But l got used to it. If your kid or toddler bumps your hand or you mistouch the screen you have to go through a bunch of screens before you get back to the story pages again that have no numbers to help get you back on track. That's annoying! It was easy to get lost as to what image belonged to what text was being displayed on the phone "pages". Page numbers on the phone would've helped. So if you hit back button by mistake prepare to have your patience grated because it bumps you to the main menu not the previous page. (The images look like peep holes. Square or rectangular would have been more visually pleasing. Imo, but the kiddos didn't mind at all) My one year old kept distracting me from what page l was on and it took longer to get back on track. It took me longer than a moment (embarrassingly) to figure out the dimmed story text meant to scroll upwards to finish reading the page. I found the initial set up for this product frustrating and l almost gave up and took it back to Target. I'm here to say put it down come back to it at a peaceful moment and give it a second chance. After all the initial aggravation, I gave it a second try, lowered the music to a very soft ambiance. (A few background music choices would have been lovely) I put on Sago mini Vacation and experienced the joy l was hoping for when l bought these products. My 5 year old son said "I love this so much mommy!!" and it melted away my frustraitions. Like my hand getting in the way causing shadow while turning the wheel if l wasn't careful because lm left handed. I gave this 4 stars because after all, in the end, we got what this product advertises and it was worth it. I bought the gift pack, sweet dreams lullaby and Uni the unicorn. We will be buying more.

App finally downloads but does not accept code from the box. Bought the 5 story box but stuck with just free story. Not worth the hassle trying to get this program to work correctly. ASUS AR

Good app but the single music track gets annoying. Also wish there were more interactive sounds. Otherwise works as advertised and my kids like the pictures.

Loved the idea of this and was eager to use it with my little ones but the activation code wouldn't work. They advise using various combinations of upper and lower case "L". I don't have time for that! There were 4 L's in my activation code. I'll sadly be returning it to Target.

A great idea. Just got it today at Target. Hoped to read it to my 5 yr old at bedtime. We are big readers. To get images fully focused, you would have to sit a foot away from the surface onto which you're projecting. Anything farther, and they are soft and blurry. So much for wanting to have a ceilling show. The images in stories are cute, the sound effects are adorable, but stories just don't flow. A 5 star idea with a 3 star delivery.

Update: Says it supports Note 8 now which is awesome! Bought it as a gift for my niece and she liked it. Her mother has a Note 8 and we had to guesstimate where to place the projector. This worked out fine but she'll have to figure out where to put it each time. Overall, it's a great product.

Not too be used with an LG K20. The mechanism will block the switch on button, meaning removing (and recalibrating) if the phone goes to sleep. Plus, the music is annoying [Clarification]: I couldn't know about the device compatibility until after receiving the product (I didn't buy it myself). Also, a compability list can never be extensive (too many devices to cover). I recognized that this is *my* problem. The stars are based on my general opinion of the product

This app is amazing . it works well and my experience aside from a user hicup (help was received ) has been superb. My daughter now begs me for story time. Even my 11 year old loves it!

Customer service was quick and solved my issue. My son lives it!

Requires the purchase of story projectors for about 25 bucks and also purchase of the book for 7.99.

It's fantastic. Well worth the wait since the start at kickstarter!! Only thing is we got duplicate clips.... And the chicka chicka boom boom slides are showing stains of some sort

My boys will not go to bed without multiple reasons. It's so much fun I can't say no Absolutely love it. I've been waiting since I ordered from Kickstarter and it did not disappoint. Well worth the wait. Thank you for an amazing product. The universal clip is fabulous.

We've read one story and love it! It is going to be a great bedtime tradition. Uupdate: I lowered my rating a star because I wish it had the option to turn off the background music and make the sound effects louder.

Wasn't sure about opening this due to the negative reviews but don't be discouraged by them. Not good for use with a large case but did fit 3 different devices that we have. I was impressed at the range of projection size that is available. Focus/adjustment on the lens at first seemed unadjustable but turned out to be be just a little stiff which is good so it doesn't move if you happen to bump it. I did not like the background music, seems low quality on all devices and way to repetitive. It would be nice to have more of the interactive sounds. On my older devices no permissions were required so I'm assuming newer devices to ask for flash access they just ask for camera use.

One of the worst purchases made. Spending hours attempting to decipher activation code. Then once finally deciphering code app did not read story. If you want test anyones patient level purchase this product. It will annoy even the most patient person.
