Meccanoid - Build Your Robot!

This is an awesome robot, took about 6 1/2 to build. The app is very easy to use and understand, I would recommend going through the tutorial first as it will help. I have not figured out how to use the camera to shadow your movements as of yet. The only issue I notice was with the System Maker any command I used to make movements only the left elbow would move. But I could of been doing it wrong. Other than that great job! Our son loves it!!

i am soo sick of half assed products that are being sold. if you are a big company and you make an app, make sure the customer can have some real source to troubleshoot from!!! idgaf if i can use it without the app, thats not the point. the point is if your gonna sell me $100 robot toy, it better do what it is supposed to and if it cant then resources to troubleshoot are necessary

Doesn't work no conformation email. Son very disappointed. All day trying and nothing. that's sorted email received in spam and now won't connect to Bluetooth asking for a code. I read through these comments and found the answer to my problem the next problem is he needs plugging into a computer for update before I can move on any further:( I have no computer.need to borrow a laptop now xx I hope it's all going to be worth it after all of these days to get him up and running with an impatient child waiting.

Does not connect. My device wants a code for Bluetooth, yet Meccano don't provide one, this is a problem I see a lot over the internet. Many users experience the same, yet there is no contact and no bug fixes. My daughter is gutted. She was looking forward to interacting with the product. At a cost of over a hundred pounds per unit, I expect better customer care and relations. I will be contacting the parent company with my complaints. Just awful and at the expense of children....

Update, connection etc all ok, though a mode with free control and no recording would make the app far more kid friendly. My 5 year old just wants to open the app and make the robot move, not teach it recorded movements. At the very least this app should do that. My other issue is that while using the app the robot states its battery levels are too low, needs to be recharged and from then on become unresponsive to the app. The batteries were new, and my son played with not for a further hour after. ??

Every time I use this app I have to pass the tutorial. Even if I have connected to the robot and then made my own animations. It doesn't let me skip the tutorial. Do you have the same problem, if yes pls help me.

Where did motion capture go? That's one of the reasons I picked this promising toy up for my son. Also as others stated what's with repeated tutorials? Most of it works great except those two things. Would like to see the motion capture feature

Terrible app. The only feature we want to use (mirror me mode) is no longer in the app. It had it when we first bought the rubbish a year ago and since it's been removed. The app is terrible.. slow and lagging on a galaxy s7. All the marketing material says it has mirror mode and even refers to the special technology it uses. This seems now to be a lie and false advertising. Really disappointed and will never buy a meccano product again. Would zero star if possible. Would like half the value back.... should also report to trading standards

Does not connect. Asks for unreasonable permissions, wants registration, with email, year selection in birth date keeps closing (custom control), can't skip tutorial, time wasting animation at startup each time (about 10 seconds until you get something). After half hour of trying I give up. One star and uninstall.

I just purchased and built the meccanoid 2.0, so far it is working well. I am just confused about the function where we would be able to insert the cell phone in its chest so that we could use the camera. Where did that function go? Quite confusing, being that it is still shown both in the instructions and on the box. It was really one of the things my child was most looking forward to using. In addition, when we program it via the app to do a function along with a phrase, it repeats my own voice back to me... This makes no sense. For example, Why would I want it to say hello to myself and ask to shake my hand in my own voice? I hope you guys fix/change this in the future. Toy has so much potential.

Horrible!!! Blank white screen!!! Using Samsung tablet SM-T113. Emailed support when app stopped working with my phone but their answer was uninstall & reinstall the app. Twice or call but they're closed before I get in everyday. It sort of works on my motorola phone, but not the US english robot brain update 2.8 (2.7 still works but is no longer available to upload). So i tried UK english update and that worked for my phone. Also it is very difficult to program with blocks on your phone, not enough room. Let alone the fact that there is little to no explanations for the program blocks! I am not new to programming and still have had a hard time figuring out what they do & how to connect them!!

App thinks it has to show me how to do stuff, takes for every. Just let me use it the way I want

The green star did not show up so i was not able to make behaviors or programs

Every single time I pressed OK it disconnects me and every time I tried again it took me through the coaching

Void comment below....I can already connect it to Bluetooth and it is working perfectly.... Do not connect to Bluetooth...Someone can connect to Bluetooth or know what the problem is?

App works OK, at the moment, but no confirmation email and no reply to an email sent two weeks ago. Terrible customer service.

It will not connect to the Bluetooth. I cannot find a fix for this issue and it doesn't seem to be addressed by developers. A huge disappointment

For all the idiots complaining if youre child has one of the robots and wants to use the app you do it dont let your child do it second if it asking you for a code thats your fault that means your blutooth is not setup third when it neans update it wants you to memory wipe and download the latest version go to the site and download the progam and plug in your robot and make sure you pick the correct laungege that you speak and hit total memory wipe. Also you dont need app to use read the guide book

This game makes me re watch the tutorials and save a new behavior at every boot!!! How do I skip this?

I cannot conect via Bluetooth because it says sorry the servers cant be reached right now. The rest is kindof fun.

Server down! Will this ever get sorted? My boys are very disappointed! Took long enough to get meccanoid connected and now it just disconnects straight away. This sucks

Seriously bypass the demo. After a few time it stop taking me through it. Make the connection faster(stop the little intro). Bluetooth connection lost Everytime app is switched and app takes forever to restart

Rubbish tells me to update something but there's nithbg to update so i cant ever start 0 stars

Why do I need an account for this? Why does it need to access my contacts, location and audio? Crap input controls.

Server has been down for more than three days. It can't be programmed offline. It it useless at the moment

app is good but video tutorials never show up, only the white screen with a red circular X button in the corner shows instead

I have a mecanoid and this app gives you a trial on how to use it
