Spectra Bulb

I have had this product for about 2 months now, I love the sound quality and the light timer, but I frequently have problems with random noises or noises when I dim the light. I also have encountered a new glitch and once a while the light will flicker to another color without me changing it. I do love this product but it definitely needs some work

I agree w/everyone about the speed of the light flashing, should have a way to control it & it would be nice if the colors would fade to the next shade instead of being having such a harsh transition...other than that i love the whole concept of this product. The sound quality is suprisingly clear & loud!

Pretty neat. Just really wish there was a way to turn off the irritating noise it makes when you turn it on.

I would have to agree with just about everyone. The sound upon connecting, or turning it on is annoying and would be nice if you could disable that sound or the speaker, and I think it would be better if accessing the app it would go to the lighting options not the music after all I bought it as a light bulb not a speaker. Other than that makes for a great light.

This product is awesome and I love it. I can play my music through my light bulb and the light can be set to stay in 1 color or set to change colors with the beat of the song playing! This is an awesome product because I am a techie and this product lives up to its name! I do not regret this purchase at all! Thanks!!!!

Great app, I use this app in a hanging light fixture mood lamp. The auto feature would look cool if there was a transition of colors rather than a quick flash. A bar to change the speed of the transitions would be ideal!

I like it.. Except for the loud on and off sounds. I would like it more if it had more adjustments on the light changing speed, and more bass..Which I'm guessing more bass not possible because of size? I'm enjoying it though. Thank you☺ The blue doesn't always work.

This is a great product the colour blue does not seem to be working. ..?but other than that would like to see a community type setting where you could share setups like I found the colour for emulating a black light, changed colour and couldn't find it again haha, but would definitely recommend the ability to make the automatic light to be slowed as it is very fast paced and with no warning could be harmful to some users.

Love all of its functions. Definitely love it more if you make a way to turn off the dinging when you turn it on or a way to adjust the ding volume. (Wakes the sleeping, when you have to pee!)

I loved the whole idea of this product right away, and the features work seamlessly together. The music is surprisingly clear and can be turned up quite loud. The reason it got 2 stars and the reason I stopped using it is due to the random connecting sound it makes whenever I enter the room it's in or walk by it. I won't even be listening to music but when I walk close enough, out of nowhere a LOUD noise! Its startling and makes me jump every time. It's like a loud shriek similar to a police WHOOOP sound.

Wish it would work properly, but only stays connected for a few minutes then won't reconnect. Phone staying connected to other devices just fine, but this bulb seems to glitchy to be a final release of a quality product. Should work out bugs before releasing a product, craftsmanship and quality are lacking.

WHY CANT I TURN OFF THE SPEAKER? the whole point of a light bulb AND speaker is to have the OPTION to use the speaker, sometimes I want to use the light, but I also want to listen to a video with headphones, which I CANT do with this bulb. Other than that I love it, I love all the colors and it's really fun. If you fixed the speaker issue I would immediately change my rating to five stars

The bulb itself is pretty cool, but the app is lacking, I wish the app had an alarm clock so the light would turn on and play music to wake me up

When it connects and stays connected, it is slick. Bulb itself is great for the money. The connection and turn on sound are irritating, particularly when the Bluetooth connection doesn't stay up. Using with a kid's tablet for a nightlight, I had to unplug it. The unwanted sounds are my biggest complaint. The app UI needs a lot of help too. Getting it to connect gives a lot of annoying hints of "connect the bulb first", even if paired (hint ... make the bulb a trusted connection to make this less frequent). Also, if another device is paired, you have to drop/forget the bulb or no other one seems to connect. For general improvements, I would suggest that having media catalog show what is currently playing, or show up as an option to open media with would be good, as would a slow fade option for the automatic color change. Finally, add the ability to group bulbs, or provide an SDK for other devs to make apps for the bulb/update firmware, and this would be an unbeatable product. Looking at their website, however, isn't encouraging & still shows the 2014 product line. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I expect few updates or improvements in the future.

Wont do green and one other color and what is with the loud beep. Would prefer the volume start at mid or low

Speaker works fine, but app says not connected when you try to do anything with the light. Disappointing.

I gotta try to connect at least 50X before it actually does connect. If it does at that, and I have it as a trusted device on my phone. Please fix!!!

I would like to see a fade or speed control for the pace at which the colors change. The fast flashes are fine for fast music, but Placado Domingo shouldn't be flashing or changing so quickly.

Completely agree with the Review from Myne All Myne. Has anyone figured out a way to turn off the annoying "WHOOOOP!" sound?

The app could be better at music control, but once it's paired with your phone, it will play whatever music you want. Worth the $20 for the bulb!

I would like to see more color options look like fade and different pallets

Works great, but I would love it if you could add an option to program the light to turn on as well not just off.

Great app but I would be nice to have a repeat button or playlist option . for those individuals that listen to music on repeat :)

Interface is laggy and poorly arranged. Can't even handle running in landscape?! Handling of multiple bulbs is horrendous. Can't determine current on/off state of bulb when switching between bulbs, can't retain color configurations of bulbs when switching bulbs off and switching to other bulbs. App really feels like it could be written a LOT better.

First off, I'm AMAZED that something this awesome even exists. But it needs some work! I think we all agree that turning the volume allllllllll the way up and that loud noise when it connects is unnecessary. My neighbor has a spectra bulb and occasionally we connect to theirs or vice versa. It can be quite startling when music starts blaring at random times. But there a also Soooooo much you could do with this app! Why can't we create our own auto modes or presets? Why isn't there a wake up timer also? :[
