Specialty Produce

Incredibly useful but does have to have Internet access to work. Some of the markets I frequent are in areas that lack access, and the Specialty Produce app doesn't work there?

Has a lot of potential, but is still buggy (help and upcoming features both crash to desktop on my phone) and there is currently no help on how to upload spots of new produce not in the database.

Excellent app for educating anyone on the health benefits of fruits, veggies, herb's and so many other aspects pertaining to history, region an uses of each plant, veggie, fruit and herbs..... Love this app.

I started using the app few months ago and I am throughly impressed. It gives you pictures of the product and brief description and history. Very good learning tool for young Chefs and foodie in general. By the way the recipes are added benefit.

This app has it all. Everything you need in a reference guide that is easy to access and offers regional information, as well as great recipes.

A Co-worker has the same app but for iphone and his phone shows the plu code along with the produce. I got this for that reason. I constantly interact with plu's and this updated version doesn't show plu's but recipes instead-something i have no use for.

Fantastic app. Will be 5 stars when the spotted produce has correct information. I don't care about 2500 miles away when it's set to 25km

Telling us everything but how to pick the best produce, and the spot feature is incomplete, otherwise a nice app to have when you're shopping

The content of this app is great, but when I change the settings to "my city" for the spotted fruits, the app doesn't sort the spotted fruits to my location. It only tells me how far away they are once I click into the location (usually 800+ miles away). However the ads in the app are able to market to my closest location without issue. Something should be updated.

This app is great. I was looking for an app that let me expand my produce knowledge and tastes especially in other cultural cuisines. Asian, latin, etc. Not only does it explain the item, some I've never heard of, but has links to cooking websites with simple and delicious recipes. Nice job

STILL LOVING IT! I love this place. Let your inner gourmet run wild. Farmer's market bags have such a different selection every week. The recipes that accompany the bag are great too.
