About Stay Focused | study help
This free app is for students who get distracted by their smartphone. The app represses choosen features of your smartphone for a selected amount of time. So if you want to study for two hours without being distracted by your smartphone you set the timer for two hours for phone call’s, sms and all app’s. Then your smartphone won´t ring when a call is incoming or you receive a sms. Althought the chosen apps can´t be used.
There is also a feature where you can set such smartphone-lockdowns regularly each week or so. So if you want to study during the week from 2 to 4 pm you can create a profile in which you select app block from Monday to Friday from 2 to 4 pm. Now you wont be distracted by any apps during your studies, but you won´t miss any importaint call.
ATTENTION: If SMS block is activated all incoming SMS are deleted. If you want to block SMS without deleting them please use the App block and select the sms app instead.

Great idea, and just what I was looking for. Unfortunately the app is not stable, whenever it attempts to load a list of apps to block, it gets jammed up and eventually crashes.

Now with my new phone Nexus 5 doesn't block any app both using instant lock and scheduled lock. What a shame!

I ended up finishing what I was doing early, so I wanted to turn off app blocking. Well, after I typed that whole paragraph and double checked for typos it still wouldn't let me turn it off. Uninstalled.

I can't set the time from 6 PM to 12 am, or to any AM time for that matter. It says time must be greater... 12 am is far past 6pm. I tried pushing the arrow both ways so I know I'm not going back in time on the settings.

App has a poor interface - often unresponsive. Crashes frequently. Can still open all blocked apps.

Does what it says. BUT if you forget when you set it or for how long you set it, there is absolutely no way to see how much time is left. No notifications, no widgets. You can't even just re-open it to check. If it weren't for that I would have given it 5 stars.

It works for half an hour or less even though I put it on 2 30h to study. To me it failed. The stupid thing is I can't reinstall the block without the typing the stupid text that is difficult because it has a wrong interpuntion. So great idea, bad execution :/

A lot of times it is just shut down by my system, so it doens't really work. Can you fix that (restart itself or something). With that fixed it would be a great app!

My phone was dying by mid afternoon and the battery graph shows this as the culprit. The scheduler also doesn't start working immediately, but instead when the next shift starts.

Works great until the time is up. After my 5 hours has expired I always still have to type the paragraph to get into the app to reset it

Firstly, it doesn't always block the app i want it to block sometimes i can get in. Secondly when it does block it and i set it to 5 hours, 8 hours + later its still asking me to enter in the text to unlock. free though, so you get what you pay for
