I have tried several different apps but all of them are really complicated. But this is app is very helpful and I must say "das ist toll! But would love it more if some more languages are added

I love the Spanish version so much that even though this app does not work on my phone because of Nougat, I tracked down an old crappy tablet that barely turns on just so I can use this program. I can't get over how well it works to make you practice, guess meanings while giving you minimal information, and gives you real conversational sentences and vocabulary to work with. The best way to fluently learn a language is to practice speaking it, and this will give you confidence to do that.

I also use the speaktribe spanish app that one works perfect, this one is full of buggs. Whenever there should be explanationg popping up, nothing actually pops up and I get stuck in the practice. I quit the practice then cannot move on to the next because I cannot get enough points. I use the newest android.

The only problem is that the microphone function is continuously loading and never fully loads, so I can't complete any of the speaking tasks, not even a single one. I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy S4. Please make an update to fix this problem. Thank you

It needs improvement. The microphone does not work on my Samsung Galaxy Tab. Also, it would be nice, if there was a placement test, so you don't have to start at the beginner level. Other than that, I really liked this App!

Im into the 3rd lesson now and the app is good combining teaching of both vocabulary and grammar (unlike other apps that focus only on vocabs) but sometimes after pressting the right answer the app just freezes and then i have to restart the quiz from the start , i hope a fix gets released soon

It is the most annoying game I have ever played. Maybe it would have been better if it wasn't bothering me with pop up literally ever 2 seconds. And you wish I was joking when I said 2 seconds.

I was so excited to try this app but sadly I will have to delete it since the German text to speech data will not download. Spanish downloads just fine, so i know I'm doing everything correctly, but it is the only one. It seems like it would have been helpful and a good app if I were able to use it AT ALL for the reason I got it. Very glad it was free...Especially since I can't even do the first task, let alone any others. :(

This is a great app. The microphone / listening function is finicky at times but that appears to be due to changes in the Google language API rather than in the app itself. All in all, this is a great app.

Very good, just like the spanish version, but for some reason the microphone feature freezes the app, as well as it had frose on seperate occasions.

The voice recognition is great and I love how at the higher levels you have to reply correctly...An easy way to practice conversation when I don't have anyone to practice with. I took German in high school and my grandparents both spoke German as their first language and I'm hoping to get my German back again then find some German speakers to really practice!

Its a great app that gives lessons on grammer as well as teaching vocab and conversational german. This means you can understand the rules behind what your learning instead of having to parrot back phrases like most apps do.

I just started practicing but I really like how the german rules are explained along the exercises

I really like it. The microphone function is glitchy but works better than any other I have tried. It seems to be very sensitive in a good way. It really seems to know if something didn't sound correct. The only issue is I can't really tell when it's listening to me and every once in a while it seems to cut off before I am finished. Overall it's a very effective and efficient way to learn

I like how this app emersed me right into speaking German. I think it will work well in tandem with my other German app. However I would like to see the mistakes in English corrected. Also the app could look nicer and the mic parts could be more responsive. All in all solid app.

Love the app. Best German app so far and I've downloaded a lot. One thing I recommend is that when repeating phrases that the app gives you more time to pronounce the entire phrase instead of cutting you off before you're finished. Some of us can't speak that fast.

Overall this app is a very easy way to learn basic German, but it isn't without flaws. On my Moto X Pure it always says it did not hear me the first time I tap the microphone button. The second time it works. This makes progress a little rougher than it otherwise would be. So far I haven't seen anything else to complain about.

.. Duolingo n Babel. Because there is few explanation regarding confusing phrase. The microphone also catches my speech quite well. Only in very few occasions the app fails to catch my speech (in several words). Is it my pronunciation's fault? I don't think so. I think actual person will easily catch what I say though. I pronounce it very similarly with what it sounds. Sigh, making me a lil' heartbroken the app didn't get it.

I absolutely refer this app for the one who wants to learn German from the begging.excellent app...fun learning...easy practice to read,hear and speak as well with phrases..trust me its worth downloading this app..I hav gone through many apps,but this one really works.

If you have no clue at all about german, it is the perfect app to start with. You will be practicing your pronounciation along side with your first grammatical words. Though sometime your unclear pronounciation cannot be procceed, over along this app can boost you confidence to learn more about new language skill. Thank you.

It's easy to learn German language but like Spanish its not pronounced any word which is difficult to Learn its pronunciation

Grew up in a German house but other family members cut me off from the language early on and as I'm planning kids in the future, I intend to teach them my grandmother's mother tongue for ~so many different reasons. Still using a couple of different apps as well but this is now my goto -- it's the first one to really challenge me in a way that's engaging and I can't recommend it enough. There's no patronizing here, you ~will learn.

But the problem I am facing with this app is I am able to speak but it is not being recognised by the app as the loading sign is rotating all the time

I have fun with it. I'm hard headed and it is patient with me. Lol but I like that the material is at a nice pace. It also reviews what you learned in the last lesson.

I always have to tap the microphone button 2 times before it works. The voice recognition isn't so great, it can't hear me and put "..." even though I'm loud

It guides you step by step through pronunciation, grammar, hints, and the most useful part, unlike many other apps, is that it offers you lots of practice in German. Vielen Dank

It makes learning a new language so easy and comfortable. But it should also be in other languages like Dutch, french and so on. Vielen Dank
