It would be great if it understood you over standard car noise without yelling. Also won't work well thru Bluetooth if you want to listen to your radio data free and have alexa reply thru the stereo. Won't shift audio output if connected to Bluetooth device.

It's pretty cool to have Alexa in my car but it's very hard to get it's attention sometimes I have to yell at it. The main thing I wish this had was GPS capability UPDATE: after using it for a few days I'm honestly getting a bit frustrated. I have to yell just about as loud as I can to get it to hear me, and mind you my car is quiet. Hopefully this will improve... Although I'm not sure simple software updates can fix this, but here's hoping. I can't seem to get it to work at all until I open the app on my phone, is that how it's supposed to be?? More updates to come UPDATE 2:. now more than half the time it will not respond to voice at all until I hit the microphone button. I can yell "Alexa" directly into the mic and nothing. Also, when I tell it to play music I usually say "shuffle my ___ playlist" and it starts playing, but it will not shuffle off the bat, it plays in alphabetical order until I tell it to shuffle again. Also realized one thing I miss about my old Bluetooth setup, the buttons lit up so I could see them at night.

App is ok and here are some pros and cons. PROS: Love that i can use my steering wheel to change the tracks. Telling Alexa to call someone is great as well. Now i can listen to 90's musix when i want CONS: Connection to the device in my car is spotty. Sometimes it connects instantly, and others it takes a while. Also, the voice recogniton is not all there. The Echos have 7 mics. How many does the Muse have? Considering road noise, ac and heat vent sounds, i have to yell at times. Last is tje delay when sahing Alexa. It takes a few extra seconds to understand what was said and then to actually say it. Forgot to add one last thing. Why when my phone disconnects from my car, the app is still running? Jusf now as i kay on the couch using my phone, the Muse app just popped up outta nowhere and says "tap for alexa". Shouldnt the app open and close when connecting and disconnecring to muse and BT?.............. UPDATE: with the latest update, there is still no difference. I need to open the app when i get in my car. Yesterday as i was using Alexa, i needed to lower the volume of the radio and the heater for Alexa to hear me. Kind of an annoyance especially if one is to use Alexa constantly. Also i had a question.... when leaving your car, does alexa continue to play music on the phone in the background?

I couldn't be happier with Muse. It has performed as expected and brings Alexa along for the ride. The device is small and the buttons are just what is needed. The app is great, interfacing between Alexa and my phone without issue or delay. What could be better, I don't need the aux audio cable. It would be cool to have the Alexa circle light. Finally, it would be great if the Muse app turned off when not connected to the car Bluetooth and of course turned on when it was connected. Great job!

Love the device. Here are a few tips to help. Open the app on your phone when heading to car. Start car, push button on device. Very easy. Connects within seconds. I found if I'm running around I say pause on my playlist. When I come back just say play. Plucks right back up. As far as the beeping when you've left the car, close the app.

The app runs 24/7 and appears on the notification panel all the time (and it also periodically beeps too for no apprent reason). I really don't need the Alexa feature on my phone and I wish there's an option to disable it while the phone is not connected to the Muse device. Also the device never responds to the wakeword whenever I first start the car, unless I open the app on my phone and manually attempt to find the device (via "Tap to connect Muse device"). Why cant this be done automatically once the phone connects to it? The app should have a page to explain the different types of indicator light on the device too.

Even after the latest update, bluetooth audio still cuts off when it worked. Also, Aux output doesn't work all the time. Moreover, in many occasions, Muse didn't respond to the "Alexa" word no matter how loud I say it; I had to unplug/plug the power. Please help! I have a 2013 Honda Pilot.

Connects sometimes. Bought three, one for each car, and it will only connect to one. Barely works... I'll update when they fix the issues.

Please use notification channels properly. I have tried to mute the connection notification sound but it doesn't work. I also get a doubled connection notification sound

Sometimes it works and other times it does not. Galaxy s8 plus a nd 2015 jeep wrangler.

What a colossal disappointment this is.

It doesn't support music playback through Pandora or Spotify.

Updated the app and now Alexa is working as expected. No more cutting off at the end. It seems to be more responsive too. It connected without issues this time. So keep up the good work!

Only had a short time to play with it, but overall works pretty good. I won't comment on the voice recognition yet because I don't have the unit permanently mounted, but like someone else mentioned the last bit of what Alexa speaks gets cut off. Using with a 2014 Buick Regal and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

App is working perfectly for me. Setup was a breeze following the app instructions. I am connected via Bluetooth. All Alexa commands are there. Amazon Music works great. Just ask her to play a song by artist name. Home automation (w/SmartThings) is also working as promised. I can control the thermostat for the house and ask what temperature it is reading and what mode it is currently set to. To my surprise you can set the phone's Bluetooth volume by asking Alexa to 'set volume to ' Forward and backwards buttons work to move to the next song or the previous one. Voice commands Skip/Next and Previous/Back also works. Car navigation on the phone works perfectly. You can hear it just fine with Muse. I do notice if the music is too loud she will not hear you. This might be an area of improvement on a future firmware update. The easy workaround is to lower the car volume approximately 25% when listening to Jump by Van Halen but 35 to 40% listening to Tom Sawyer by Rush. This appears to depend on the tonal range of the music. Bottom line, it works so well that I purchased the last Muse Duet Perk! I want to have a backup just in case and one might be gifted to a good friend.

Playing with this for a while. Amazing product, works as intended. Connected well all the time. I could play songs from Amazon music. It would nice if I could play music with Spotify.

Totally disappointed with this product. I have to manually open the app from my phone, then connect my bluetooth every time I want to use it. Why can't the app just sit in the background? If another app is running the device will not work. For example I tried recoring a video of me using the device from the same phone and the Muse assistant becomes unresponive. This whole set up is an app. There are a ton of 3rd party alexa apps that you can use for free that do exaclty the same thing from your phone without the messy wires. Having the aux line and powerline on the same cord is a bad idea for bluetooth users. There should be a seperate aux line for rhose thaf need it. I have a tangle of cords I have to some how figure out how to conceal so that I don't accidentally trip over, get hung up in while steering, or accidentally choke myself with. Using this device doesn't have the same smooth ooeration as using an Echo device I can't say Alexa and shout out a command. I have to say "Alexa" wait 5 seconds then speak my command and then wait up to 20 seconds before the command is executed and that's using the same 100mb download speeds on my wifi I'm sharing 10 other Alexa devices that never experience slow downs. There's a cheap $5.00 solution that beats the socks off of this device. Buy a cheap cellphone mount on Amazon, place your phone in it, attach the phone to your car. Download one of a million 3rd party Alexa apps on Google play, connect your bluetooth or aux input and speak to Alexa through your phone. Google assistant can already do all of this on Android phones... there is absolutely nothing innovative about this device. I bought an overglorified bluetooth reciever with a mic. Your phone already has all of this built in. A mic and bluetooth and you already have to use your phone and a secondary app to use the service. I really hope the bugs get worked out with the app.

App won't connect my Samsung S5 and the Muse device. Support has not been helpful. They put out an update that was supposed to fix it but same disappointing result. Regretting my purchase of 2 of these devices.
