Semble for Spark NZ for Android
From 15 July 2016 Semble users will not be able to add payment cards or Snapper. For more information please visit www.semble.co.nz/faqs/ or contact your card provider.
Please only download this app if you're an existing Semble user with a registered wallet and an activated payment card or Snapper already loaded on your SIM.
Managed to use this for a few months without issue, but now when I press the back button it uninstalls and deactivates the sim requiring my to get a new semble sim. Two sim cards later and I've given up. Not worth the hassle.
All these 1 star reviews are from people that didn't do their research first. This app is great! It just works. You don't have to even go into it to pay. Yet to have any issues
The only time I use the app is when I only have my phone on me. Which was convenient in buying today's coffee. Only thing is more places need paywave.
Doesn't work with Android phones just junk
Fantastic just wish it worked with more services
If you have a supported phone and an ASB/BNZ/Snapper card, then it pretty much "just works". I expected to have issues, but nope, anything that accepts a regular tappy pay card or Snapper seems to work fine without needing to even unlock the phone. Witchcraft! Support for Samsungs magnetic stripe emulation feature on the S7 would be great.
Hardly ever works. Usually fails, making me look like a chump, holding up the line while I get my credit card out. Replaced with ASB pay virtual, which actually works properly.
I now no longer need to take my card with me because i have semble. People complaining about it not working on their phone, you should of researched that before buying the phone
Hey guys, update caused status 3 popup saying I need a semble sim, which has been in the phone for a while and working with no issues till now. Phone is a SparkNZ stock HTC One m8 with Android 6.0
My galaxy S6 has upgraded to marshmallow 6.01 and semble now says unsupported operating system and refuses to work. Really??? Marshmallow has been on its way for months! Not good enough to not have the app ready and now a loyal user can't use semble any more. Grrrrr! Thanks for the response spark, but I think you've missed the point. Nowhere on the semble website does it say that my phone must have been purchased from spark, it simply asks if I have a compatible cellphone, which I do. My phone came originally from overseas but that is irrelevant as it is the same model available from spark NZ. Are you now implying that if my phone wasn't purchased through you that I should not expect it to be compatible?
Cant operate because my phone I rooted. Big deal
And STILL NOTHING has changed on the add cards section, it's ridiculous, how do you plan to be successful and not update anything on it for like half a year, C'mon get real, and hurry up because I think your losing a lot of interested people who want this to work on their cards
You need more options to add more cards come on telecom use some of that profit to upgrade and not giving us an out of date over priced telecommunications system
Hi there recently got semble ready Sim from spark but can't even create a account with semble .I m having status 15 error with s6 edge plus ..
Hey guys. My Note is running Android 6.1 and i tried to install Semble but it says its not compatible with my OS
Hey guys, running a Note 5 purchased from Spark and the latest update for my phone broke Semble
Semble does not work since I downloaded marshmallow on my lg g4. I get a status 78 error and I am forced to exit the app.
Spark Sony Z5 Compact updated to Android Marshmallow and now Semble doesn't work anymore...
Status Code 15 when transferring to replacement phone. Spark and Semble both say it's compatible, yet it would appear not...
My bank card is not yet supported so no use to me sorry.
App won't upon due to handset not being supported. My phone is a HTC One M8 android 6.0.
Been reliable so far as a Snapper in Wellington.
Won't recognise my Gmail or any other email for that matter as a valid address :-(
App blocking access. Get with the times guys.
Works great
Was using this on an HTC phone ,it was good but not available everywhere, had changed to a moto x and it won't work ,won't be dictated by an app as to which phone I want to use,you need to sort this out before Android and Apple get their pay services up and running
Works now and is very convenient. Love it!
I have a Samsung Note 4, just downloaded the Semble app & it tells me I have an unsupported phone. I look up the list of 'supported' phones and the Note 4 is listed! Not happy.
Not always working.
I was formerly rooted, and then I unrooted my phone and flashed my Galaxy S5 stock firmware and it still says "phone is rooted - status 1"
When will kiwibank be part of this I got the sim but for now its useless
They only support phones sold by them even if you have the same model which doesn't make any sense
Really handy when you aren't able to find your cards.
My Samsung galaxy S5 is supported but the app doesn't work
Is this a special visa requirement? Those that have a rooted phone are the ones that know what they're doing with their phone. Why put such a restriction
Such a time saver. If only they did mana bus services in the wellington region would make my day :)
Used the app perfectly fine for weeks, snapper, ASB, you name it. But suddenly with the latest update its suddenly saying my phone is rooted? Had a great thing going for it now poof
great app but it feels that it's still in beta because its not as fluent as other apps, there is room for improvement such as bringing out AT (auckland transport) bus/train/ferry cards and a fingerprint option for phones with the finger sensor instead of the annoying pin semble developers if you are reading this please bring AT cards and finger scanner support please please please sincerely, a very happy user
When will kiwibank be part of this I got the sim but for now its useless

Apparently semble doesn't work with Digital Island. It is just resold spark service though! Note ANZ app uses native NFC and is built right into the mobile banking app. Come on BNZ and Co, just spend the money to build you own app functionality out!
