Bable - Everybody just speaks your language!
With Bable, you can send messages to anyone, and they will receive it in their language, translated instantly. When they reply to you, you will get it in your own language.
No need for your contacts to use Bable (although it would be nice!). It will work for them as regular SMS messages.
Bable will recognize the language of people when you receive a message. It will then use a translation to that same language when sending the message out. You don’t have to worry about any of this though, for you it will all be your own language!
By default, Bable will take use your device settings to determine your language. But you can change this in the Bable settings as you like.
So if you have a phone with French settings, you will receive all your messages in French, no matter what language they were sent in! Neat, no?
Note that an internet connection is required for translations to be active. You can receive messages offline and translate them as soon as you are online.

This app could have been perfect if it wasn't for two major flaws: a) it needs to be the "default" messaging app, which is understandable. But then there is no way to revert to your factory Android messaging app, unless you power off and on your phone! Yes, "clear default" doesn't work and even "resetting app preferences" doesn't work! First time I've seen that in an Android app. b) The menu options for the message threads are very limited. For starters, there's no "delete thread". Also, after you translated a message, there's no "show original". You're stuck with the original + translation till you delete it. Come on, Bable developers, it's not like you're busy developing an OS, you've only got two apps, install some "common sense" in an update.

App functions well, but English - Russian translation is worthless. Produces translation nowhere even close to sender's input.

OMG finally something that works in your SMS and you don't need to copy and paste back and forth like in Google Translate. Update. You have to purchase it after 9 translations. Uninstalling.

Doesn't have the language I need to translate into -Scots Gaelic. I know it's not a particularly popular language but a lot of people still speak it here in Highland Scotland. And there are languages I've never heard of on here so I'm not too sure why it doesn't have a Uk language. Otherwise it's relatively easy to use and select which language you want. Would continue using if it had Gaelic.

Dev, I need a bug fix. I'm a Premium user. The (1) on top of my Bable app icon often stays there even after I have read my new message. Very annoyed by ths. Also, I have to use your competitor's app, which I want to uninstall, to attached a pic to my SMS. 5 stars and new review when you fix the (1) "new message" bug.
