About Southwire Voltage Drop

Southwire's voltage drop calculator will help you determine the proper wire size for an electrical circuit based on the voltage drop and current carrying capacity of an electrical circuit. Determines wire size to meet specific voltage drop limits or calculates voltage drop for a specific conductor run. When sizing conductors, calculations limits wire size to voltage drop and NEC ampacity.

Rates to 60 or 75 degree cable only... Would be nice to have an input rating for that and cec requirements or what year the nec it takes from..

Does not work. This app.is giving me the wrong cable size! Very strange because when compared to the same app on an iPhone using the exactly same settings we are getting two different wire sizes. His says 350kcmil and mine on the Samsung says 500 kcmil. His is correct and mine is wrong. If I were to trust this app I would be wasting time and money on larger wire. (The settings used are 100 feet of aluminum; 3 phase, 208 volt, 300 amp and 3% voltage drop. Single run. His says 350kcmil and mine says 500 kcmil. Same app with 2 different phones, 2 different operating systems.)
