Southern On Track for Android
When it works the app is better than station announcements. However, it is constantly hanging even when I am connected to a strong and fast WiFi signal. Seems it hangs when southern are having problems...
I moved over from the GWR app when they destroyed that in a recent upgrade. This one does what GWR used to (tell me how late my trains are) so good for me.
It's such a horrible maintenance specially for timings. I am travelling with this service regularly and many times I'm disappointed with schedule.
... clunky app which is just a link to the web really - and don't mention the total lack of concern for customer experience or service on this farce of a train operator!
About as useful as Southerns appalling service. Rarely works at Victoria Station. It would be nice if the app provided an explanation why your train was delayed AGAIN or even a link to the Delay Repay form page with a pre-filled claim for your train that has just been cancelled. Dream on...
Rating drivers is a great idea! How about rating drivers on trains that don't show up too and automatically mailing it to southern etc...
Frequently displays wrong train times. Is not updated during the excessive amount of strikes.
Southern Railway is an embarrassment to the industry and to the country. No point having an app if you can't use the service.
Why limit the common journeys to 3? I have at least 4 due to all the disruption, and searching is dull!
App is useless. Failed to show cancellation!! Use National Rail Enquiries. Uninstalling.
It would be useful if the app made it easier to submit claims for cancelled and delayed trains.
Good app even though strikes are annoying
Great to see what platform your train is due to depart from. Departures and arrival times displayed on the app are also pretty accurate.
App may be okay.. Service horrible...
Latest Version Losing the login name after close the app!
Nothing that great. Delay repay should be built in, not just a link to a desktop resolution page you need to then find another link on and then have to log into your account all over again! You should be able to select a train on the app and request a delay repay right there and it takes you direct into your account. The other poor thing is the are no alerts. Why can't you select the days of the week and the trains you want to get alerts on for when Southern reliably cancel the services you take?
You cant do delay repay on this app..then why did you mislead in app description?
Must try harder.
Planned a journey and it didn't update me on rail replacement buses, adding another hour to a journey. Apart from that it's ok...
Friendly. I use it for others lines too. Have no other.
Best
I use this app every week day and its fine, can see times and if the train is delayed. Perfect for me
The app is great. The train service is beyond bad. 1h20 from Brighton to Gatwick. Usually 20 min. Wow
This app is actually really good. Has all live updates and is so easy to use. Tells you how the services are running. Has been so easy to plan all my journeys and check for delays. People just hate it because they can't apply for their delayed refunds on it, But for what the app actually does do,it to do it does it all so perfectly and not being able to apply for a refund with it is such a small issue compared to what it does do.
Ok, maybe not THAT bad, but still really bad. Can't log into my account, so can't add tickets to my 'smart' card. App crashes on log in.
Maybe you should find an agreement with your workers so they don't feel forced to strike all the time which messes up everyone's commute in the Sussex area
They not only can't either provide the service or GTFO, they also blatantly liability the description - application does NOT let you claim compensation.... and all the rest is just subpar, worthless.
Crashes when I try and log in, pretty much useless but it looks nice
Crashes every time I log in. Without fail.
When i try to sign into my account the app stops and crashes in my Galaxy S7
Crashes every time I try to log into my account
The description tricks the user into believing the user can submit delay claims from the app. This is not the case: the app just open the delay repay page where the user has to fill in a long form. Very misleading, it doesn't do what they claim. Typical of southern I'd say.
It would be nice to make delay repay claims using the app. Sadly if you click on user account it crashes, it's impressively unstable. Might have been coded by the conductors.
Actually surprised on how nice this is. After using the national rail app which is appallingly bad.
Says can be used for delay reply. Errr, no it can't!
I don't get the haters, I use it frequently, & never had errors or any other trouble.
Keeps crashing and coming up with "unknown error" message. Uninstalled.
Crashes more often than most Southern services run.
Apart from that its perfect.

The app itself isn't that bad, sometimes train delays don't show properly but i imagine this is the API provided to the development team and no fault of theirs. A widget would be nice for next train home/to work. Southern service is bloody awful though, they should be ashamed of taking people's money.
