Pano Tuner - Chromatic Tuner

Awesome tuner. Works great. Easy to use. Love how it tells you the frequency. Makes it a breeze to check your absolute pitch, tune to another instrument, go for non-standard tunings, or simply tune up when your ear is feeling lazy or confused. The extra options for temperaments look cool too, but I have not tried them yet.

Fast response and I like the sliding note names (C, C#, D, etc.). I prefer that to a +/-50 cent needle combined with a note name that jumps, especially while practicing intonation on a violin. Also works during choir practice with difficult chords - it still picks up my voice among others. - - - I don't really care for the skeuomorphic vintage look; I'd rather have bigger, clear letters. I'd also prefer mixed sharp/flat notation, i.e., C C# D Eb E F F# G G# A Bb B C.

It literally took my less than 30 seconds to tune my instrument with this app (record!). I had tried 2 other apps, yet they just totally messed me up. My instrument was even more out of tune, even though it said I was in tune. I'm just smiling at my luck at finding this app, just a month before my contest thingy.

Easy to read. Works for guitar, mandolin, and upright bass. I haven't tried it on electric instruments as I have a tuner on my pedal board for that. But acoustically it does a nice job. What I don't like is signing up for adds, which magically appear on my android when engaged in tuning. At least an add filter so I could view something I would be interested in.

Have tried several free guitar tuning apps, this one best so far. Easy to use and more accurate than a Fender clip-on I have. Has adds but only in small strip across top of screen so no big distraction. Only complaint is no metronome. Good tuning app.

I had this on my phone and deleted it because it would only display in landscape mode, but most other apps that I tried since didn't work quite as well. I re-installed it. It just works well. I can overlook its only other drawback: defying convention, the needle points left rather than right of center for a string that needs less tension.

Most stable tuning application I've found. Some apps 'hunt' to find the note you're tuning. This one finds it easily. Only down side is my tablet mic isn't good enough to handle the lowest and highest octaves of my piano.

As a slide trombone player, I have the luxury or curse of hitting every pitch in betwen the regular notes. I can adjust to the band as it plays and compensate for the saxophone section that plays sharp or the trumpets that play flat...so often times I need to "rehome" my ear as I tend to choke up on the slide and play a little sharp. Using this live in practice at home, I can readjust myself and get the true positions (although no-one really knows where 5th position is exactly! ) I love the sliding scale display and it's great watching it when I play a glissando. I've tried several other tuners and finally landed on this one and uninstalled all the others. Well thought out. Highly recommend it for any instrument including voice (got that sopranos?)

Classic display. Easy to read. Plus, I'm more likely to have my phone with me than a guitar tuner, and it does chromatic tuning not just guitar tuning-(eadgb)

Used with various electronics/synths - worked great. Struggled with some really low freqs but was probably more to blame on the mic hardware.

I just needed a simple tuner to detect slightly off Pitch tones when I am singing to catch interval errors for voice training. "Exactly what the doctor ordered."

I love this app! However, the screen has been freezing up lately, so I can't use the app properly. Any suggestions?

I found this tuner to be more accurate than several others. I've played guitar for nearly two decades and thought this was spot on. I tune by ear and always sound dead on but I swear this thing got it beyond perfect, I might actually use this app going forward jamming with other people

This AP is great , only quirk it is keeping some other screens auto rotating somewhat interfering. Other than that great

This is a great app, my only concern is that since I updated my phone it won't auto rotate so the stand on my phone cover holds the phone in the correct direction to use the stand. I have to lean the phone against something to use it hands free.

Why do you need the permission: Location? Seems unnecessary for a tuning app. App itself works fine.

It does exactly what it says it will do. I used it up against my sisters fancy Korg tuner and it actually does much better than the Korg for tuning our piano. Does great with my violin as well.

I have used just about every tuner out here and I own several high end tuners. This app is my favorite tuner I have ever used. It's extremely versitile and user friendly. The free version is all you may need, but the extra features in the pay version are well worth the price.

Awesome app. Supports not only standard but practically any tuning that you can think of, unlike other apps like guitar tuna that support only standard tuning and ask for money for anything more than that.

I like to keep a tuner on top of my amp to stay in tune in real time, and this app fits the bill perfectly. If you know a little about sound waves already, the super simple interface delivers a surprising amount of info.

I use this app to tune my double bass since my metronome/tuner is getting old. It works very well; the needle is very picky about my pitch. The only problem is that it will think my E string is a B, but I had that problem with my original tuner, so it's probably just the low frequencies that are hard to pick up.

Unbelievably fast and accurate tuner. Makes my costly chromatic tuner seem cheep by comparison.

Can this app be adjusted to instrument? It just seems off when playing C scale so I haven't moved forward. Thanks

It really gets it's job done, and well at that. I've used this app for almost 5 years now, and still prefer it ^-^ (thanks to whomever contributed to the making of this tuning app !)

Best tuner I've used. The free version is way better than any physical tuner one can purchase. When any kind of stringed instrument needs tuned or a voice needs calibrated, I whip out panotuner.

The almighty one true God Morgan said my e's and f#'s were sharp, therefore it must be true.

Transposes! Yay! A bit hypersensitive, but you can learn to work with that.

The app should be updated to work when the phone is flipped on either sides (not remain stuck to the left side is the screen)

Had a little bug in it for a few days but they fixed it fast. Love the app!

Great tuner, exactly what I needed. No extra bullshit. not anything else.

On my device I can't even rotate it and the way my instrument is set up (trombone) to aim at the microphone I then cannot see my music MAKE THE APP ROTATE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD

Actually picks up sound well. Some tuners hop around and don't give a clear reading, but this app is consistent every time.

Its on point. Different levels of margin of error. Does its job well

This is the best tuner I've found. It works great for my cello, so it probably works great for anything. Even deals with background sounds pretty decently. 8.5/10 would recommend.

This app opens up an ability to compose music. I sing my lyrics into it & get the chords & make the tabs. Voila! A new song

Simple and intuitive. I like the way the scale makes it easy to see where you are and easy to fine tune around that position

Amazing application for beginners but you need to turne it to do re me option instead of English letters would be easier to adjuste your music instrument

I like that pitch is displayed as a scrolling spectrum. Most other tuners just display the note name, sometimes with a needle, but those are both inaccurate representations. I also LOVE the ability to change to just intonation. This app is doing wonders for my ear training, especially hearing/singing pure thirds and microtones.
