I like the desktop app a lot. I've run into a bug in the mobile app. In the Protect my Files menu, there is no option to revert to the previously selected directory. If I accidentally go up the directory hierarchy to storage/emulated, then there is no way to move to select any active folders! I had to reinstall to fix this problem as you cannot directly type into the directory menu box. Fixing this would raise my rating of the app significantly, as everything else works fine.

Great perk for buying PowerDesk 9 for just a mere $8.99!!

Cannot restore any files to SD card. Cannot restore any files to internal storage either, once the download directory has been changed. It says that /storage/emulated is empty so can't get back to /storage/emulated/0. Useless until updated. (Developer: you need to update to use the new Android 6.0 API for file operations.)

At least my files from my computer are here. However, I can't even download anything that was backed up from my pc to my phone. Nor can I back up anything that I have on my phone to the cloud. It's upsetting. Please, will you fix this error? I'll change the rating once it's fixed.

It's a good app but I was wondering if it was possible to save individual apps and not all of them at once

Good quick responses to customer complaints. App works great. Thanks a lot... Back to the smooth, refined app I was used to.

Seems the company won't update this app to enable locally-encrypted uploads for backing up from mobile. Or update the app in general. I asked them about this a year and a half ago and was told it's definitely an upcoming feature.

I'm very satisfied with this program, especially for the amount of storage you get for the price. It's backed up all of my files on my PC + Android easily and kept them safe. Only complaint is that some of the features could be structured more intuitively. ***NOTE: For those trying to DELETE their files... There IS a way to do it, but oddly enough it's thru the Restore feature. Do an online search for "SOS backup how to delete" and you'll be able to find a walk through.*** :)

Pros - value for backup GB, especially the infinite option by computer with unlimited mobile devices. With special I am paying about $45 a year for unlimited backup (except by upload speed) . At this price point I can live with the... Cons - Weak Software... Android app settings should all be in one place with what people are likely to want... like only backup on wifi when plugged with a time scheduler and potentially option to turn on wifi on schedule. I figured out how to make all that happen, but had to enable wifi separate app on schedule. PC App... setting up what to back up is OK. When and what bandwidth is poorly done... I don't need bandwidth throttling for total per day... what I could use is a way to keep it from pegging bandwidth when it is active and/or more refined scheduling options (weekly schedule hourly). Take a look at any decent bittorrent client for a clue here. I would rather do a slow burn all the time at 50% of upload and let it peg while I am away at work. Options are not available for anything close to that.

I foolishly signed up for SOS Online Backup before actually testing the client and mobile app. Both the desktop client and this app are extremely dumbed down and contain only very basic options and settings. The design and setup process of the desktop client is illogical and buggy. I would recommend CrashPlan as a solid alternative.
