Droid MPD Client for Android
Clunky interface. Could not get it to work to my satisfaction.
robust, lightweight and fully functional with mopidy server on raspberry. A "clear all and play this" button would surely be of use though
No updates for a long time. Annoying bugs remain unaddressed. Abandonware?
After trying several apps, I settled for this app. Simple, clean, love the volume control dial. Thank you!!
Crash when switch artist ... X10 mini

I can't set up my connection because there is no menu button
Excellent player. Serves my purpose. Only wish I could use it to switch my music system on and off from the same remote. For that I would need Infra Red on my phone!
Sets server volume to zero when volume control closed.. deleted app.
This is by far the best client I could find. Interface works great easy to manage playlists and queue compared to the other clients I tried. The only thing that is annoying is browsing local storage if your folder structure is deep then it starts cutting off the end. Would be nice to just show filenames only with an option to move up to previous folder. Other than that so far it's flawless for me.
Worked fine on my older galaxy phones, however without the "menu" button at the bottom of the phone I am unable to access the settings or playlist manager which means all it does it pause and skip. Emailed support and got no response. This has now been uninstalled.
Stable and functional. The good: volume control, output control. The bad: does not help you find the playing song in the play list (I have 20k tracks). Needs a scroll handle. Search would be nice for current play list . Supports only one mpd server. No way to get more details about track (bit rate, tags). I didn't see any stream support. Using on a droid x2
The only issue I found: its not possible to add online radio streams/URL. All else is excellent. And not required strange permissions, as most other do.
There is no way to connect to server. App opens, tells that it "disconnected" and has no options to configure - no tabs, no buttons, nothing.
This application is so close to perfect, that the difference is unnoticeable.
only client that could add all library and shuffle it
Kyocera Hydro XTRM, got it working in just a couple minutes with no issues. I tried mpdroid first and the streaming output wasn't playing, but this picked it right up. My only wish is for a slightly nicer interface (I like the look of mpdroid better but it doesn't work for me, so it's a moot point).
Seems to work well, but it's not at all clear how to load existing playlists. It looks as if you have to save the current one first, even if there are no changes. The confusing bit is that you have to save it with a new name. Also, auto-rotate seems to work on some screens and not others. Bizarre. Sony Tablet S.
Great app that would be even greater if :Feature requests: 1) Tasker integration plugin for DroId MPD Client. 2) Dark background theme on playlist etc.
but too many button. too little
Works perfectly on Samsung Galaxy S II updated stock ROM (Android 2.3.6).
no problems at all. what do you think about automatically turn down the volume on ringing?
This application is so close to perfect, that the difference is unnoticeable.
Picked up my linux server right away with 7000+ songs Highly recommended! Galaxy SII Skyrocket
Looks nicer than a lot of mpd clients, and works well.
Must have for all who use MPD!
Does the job and requires minimal permissions
but too many button. too little
very good app. compare to typing command it is very easy to use.
This is perfect. Desire Z.
Just what I was looking for!
Works great on samsung rugby
Works exactly as it should. No ads, no weird access requirements - just a perfectly executed tool that gets the job done.
This app works great on my SonyEricsson Xperia Ray. Makes controlling my music very easy. Agree that the UI could be made a little bit easier to use, but overall this is an excellent app which makes my life that little bit easier.
This application could use a little polishing, the flow is a bit confusing. The ability to search for a song or browse through the music is a little hidden and confusing. Other than those issues the interface is usable and the software works without any crashing or locking up. Too bad it seems like the developer has abandoned it.
This works pretty well, bit lacks support for the playlists you can define on the server. I have several internet radio streams defined on playlists, bit have to go to a desktop client to select them.
Works as expected, but could do with some improvements. I especially miss a scrolling song/artist title when the name is too long (also in folder view), and while the volume knob looks nifty, I'd prefer a slider like in MPDroid. On LG P500 with Cyanogenmod
It's the best mpd app for Android but lack a lot of basic features. One that I really miss is the ability to follow the current song playing in the playing list like you have in the Linux ncmpc program. A GUI overhaul to the new ICS theme would be a welcome sight.
Admittedly this searches better than MPDroid, but on large screens with landscape, it makes me cringe enough to use the other app instead. Add a high resolution landscape mode, and this will be the one.

I have no option s like settings or anything else. Just tells me disconnected and shows me all play/pause functions and volume. (NOTE4)
