About Sophos Network Agent
Sophos Network Agent allows a local network user to authenticate himself/herself to the Sophos XG Firewall with an Android device. Once the connection is established and the user is recognized, the device can be used for browsing through the Internet, according to the current user policy set up by the administrator.

- Communication is done via an encrypted, secured connection (TLS)
- Additional validation of the connected server
- Easy to use, with minimum initial setup
- Minimum interaction required (bringing the app into foreground automatically authenticates the user)
NOTE
- The app requires network connectivity (Wi-Fi) in order to work. Losing connectivity results into disconnecting the user. Connection must then be re-established in order for the user to be authenticated.
- The app does not work with Sophos UTM.
- When launching the app for the first time, the "No certificate found" error might be seen. You need to log into User Portal with your Sophos Firewall username and download the required certificate from there. After importing it into the app, the error will go away and connection will be possible. See help section for more information.

This app automatically disconnects from the server in about 30 seconds of usage and then yiu have to login again. Useless app and it does not even deserve a place on play store. And seeing your previous excuses dont ask me to use the latest version as I am already using it!

Cannot install Client Authentication CA cert on android. Installed Client Auth cert, local x509, and user cert downloaded as p12's from certificate management. App does not detect any of them. Client Auth Cert for mobile clients is not available in the user portal, the only options are to download a windows or mac agent.

This client installs a self singed root certificate that renders all secure (HTTPS) connections insecure. In technical terms, this is identical to a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack. If you have no problem with the Sophos firewall and your employer being able to view all your private internet transactions (bank transactions and passwords too..), then go ahead and install it. Sophos, please provide a client that does not force the user to install a self signed root certificate and compromise security.
