Sophos Mobile Control for Android
Good
I can't activate it such waste of time I will delete it
It's very good application for all users.
Would be a 5 star product if you could use fingerprint or iris scan. Limited through my work with password or pin
Nice and good!
Nice for communication
Latest update is showing a false positive for root on a device that's never been rooted.

I wonder if folks have installed this software thinking that it is an AV tool. We've found it to be simple to install and use as the client part of a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution for businesses. We subscribe to Sophos cloud for our computer and mobile device protection and this software hasn't slowed down mobiles or desktops. I would highly recommend it - Sophos also have great tech support.
Would not send me the activation text.
Company is doing great thinks with encryption and mobile management plus they have a AVAILABLE mobile control for home for 10 devices for FREE - Sophos Home
In combination with award winning av , mobile control is great
GREAT!
My Samsung S5 ,company phone was my first Android device after years of iPhone use and I loved it. Then the company rolled out this app as part of the company EMM solution and it turned a great phone into a slow, lumbering device. Every application takes an age to load, so much so I thought there was a problem with the OS upgrade to Lollipop so Samsung reinstalled the OS, but it made no difference. Also every couple of weeks it resets the lock screen wallpaper to default, really annoying. I have a company iPad and a colleague with an iPhone 5 both running Sophos and it doesn't seem to affect them at all. I've cleaned, reinstalled and done just about everything else I can think of to make it run faster and smoother but it would appear it just doesn't sit well with Android.
Worked great till new update. Now everytime I open my mail....Control won't work Battery Optimization with install button. Click install and points me to their Anti Virus. Really crappy way to force or have an AD for their Anti-Virus for corporate users. Can't wait till Monday and hear the complaints from our end users.
Nice for communication
Can someone tell me how to uninstall this app... or rectify how to sync it...
Since Android 6.0 update, unable to sync for work email (Homerton.NHS.uk)
sent my complaint previously.. nothing happened so far except for rew corresponding emails frm Sophos.. cant even deactivate nor do unistall it.. getting VERY irritating
Latest update is showing a false positive for root on a device that's never been rooted.
Shows device is rooted even if my mobile is not rooted. I really need my mail client to sync

Good
The app which has been blocked was referring to com.ccgame.pool. I didn't have that app on my device, yet Sophos decided to show a Sophos icon permanently on top of the status bar. Sophos should have an option to allow user to hide/remove that from status bar. I wonder in future when Sophos has 100 apps in their block list, would there be a 100 Sophos icon occupying the whole status bar?
Great and simple solution to manage mobile device, mobile apps and mobile content
this app don't even deserve one star. Says one app not allowed to start - com.ccgame.pool. Can't even find that in my app list to uninstall. I'm now stuck with ugly & stupid sophos logo on my taskbar.
Easy to use and I can install apps, deploy company policies, set WiFi,... With Sophos Security & Antivirus we can also use thief protection,..
Slow down my phone and can't uninstall it
Unable to deactivate...annoying app
Great option to manage
Good for file
Easy to install and configure
Nice
Good

Does a reasonable job of providing some elements of device control, but consistently does a naive job of determining root status (e.g. an unlocked bootloader doesn't mean the device is rooted, nor does the presence of a su package mean that the device is rooted). Comment to developer reply: Root Checker Pro manages to deterministically evaluate rooted status. Maybe you should engage with that developer to reliably determine root status, as Root Checker Pro does a far better job than SMC does.
