Content Browser Mobile is an application to remotely control CBK-WA100/101 Wireless Adapter and Wi-Fi compatible Sony professional camcorders/recorders.

Sony is very interested in making it known you can control your camera with your smartphone. While it is true to some extent, the app doesn't allow full control of advanced settings. Zoom, start and stop recording are there, but the app promised nfc capabilities that I can't find anywhere which leads me to the fact that it is a cumbersome UI. Also the phone's OS back button doesn't work, you have to use the back button built into the app located at the top. The app feels like a cheap port of an iPhone app.

I could not get this application working on the Sony PXW-X70 video camera using a Samsung S2 Plus smartphone. If you know of a fix please share. Love the idea of the app and I am sure all the bugs will be worked out so I am giving it a 5.

Really needs an automatic SSID scan and search. Needs to work with No Password Networks. Will continue to play with the CBK-WA100 and review.

Provides for a convenient remote control/viewer for the PXW-X70. It would be nice if it displayed camera status indicators, i.e., elapsed/remaining recording time, remaining power, rule-of-thirds overlay, etc., If those issues were resolved, it would be five stars easily.
