HALE Dreamer Alarm Clock for Android
Worked great first few times it was connected and now app won't even open when connected. I open the app manually and it just gives me a blank screen. Not sure why it stopped working but would like for it to start again since I bought the speaker.
DO NOT BUY THIS UNTIL YOU DONT HAVE TO AGREE TO BE SPIED ON. What I don't understand is why the needs to be able to make voice or video recordings when ever it wants to. I am going to be contacting customer service for a refund of the damn thing because NO WHERE does it say it will be recording you when you buy it. I I had just bought a regular alarm clock I would have to worry be recorded.
Dont support android 6,0
Absolutely loved it at first. Then it began to make the noise it use to only make when the screen orientation changed every minute or so. It was keeping me awake so I had to find another alarm app. Was bummed because when it worked it was great.
Keeps letting calls through got woke up 5 times. Blocks some but not all to bad because I was going to buy the dock for it but since it failed I'll save my money.
This clock is loud and I can use any android device 7inches and smaller that has the app installed. It has a sleep sound to put you a sleep and a alarm called "worse one ever" that even wakes me up, now that saying something. I have slept threw earthquakes..
Used to work great on other android phones. Now with this version it constantly slows down my phone, meanwhile 5 days in a row the alarm hasn't gone off at all. Made me late to work every day....
The app performs well on a rooted Galaxy S3 running CM13, and does whatvit is advertised to do. But there is a quirk where if you have the on-screen buttons enabled it will be the brightest thing on the screen (while docked) and there isn't a feature to disable it. And on a more serious note is that this app can damage your phone screen through burn in if you have an older phone with an AMOLED display. This is something that is critical and can cause irreversible damage to the screen.
I have used this alarm for several years and with 2 phones. Lately my phone continually will illuminates several times a night. Even when i have the dimness turned all the way down. The newest glitch is now the speaker has white noise even with the speakers turned all the way down. This morning instead of my alarm chime i got very loud static. What gives? Maybe another update is needed.
Overall it is an alright idea, although there are a few things that I'd like to be improved. Firstly the auto dimming system needs to dim faster, maybe have a percentage per mins timer? Also it'd be good if after a certain amount of time, the screen could auto switch off to charge better, as sometimes my phone doesn't get a full charge in the night. Thanks for considering there's improvements.
I have looked and tried dozens of alarm Clocks to find one that is simple and let's me darken the lights and numerals to barely see. This does it! I have not tried the alarms and other options. Being retired,I have no need at the moment. I love this clock..wish there was a paid version with a few extras...being able to have full black screen with control knobs the same as the digits...for one But regardless, I have found a night clock I am happy with and it does not interfere with my sleep. Well done!!
This is exactly what I've been look for in an alarm clock app. Let's you pick what service you want to use (i.e. Pandora, Google play, spotify, ect.) And let's you pick how many snooze times before you "must"get up along with time between each one. Also the lallaby is pretty cool. Didn't think I'd use it but the sound effects are pretty cool (rain, thunder storm, brook, city (that is a little loud), and a bout a dozen more. Over all, great app highly recommend a long with the speaker which this app was made
This app is just horrible, crazy slow (can't. even select a tone without it freezing ) very bad design (all the buttons are placed in an odd way) come one read the android design guideline. And God the animations for everything... is just horrible!. Good idea poor execution... I hate that I buyed the hardware gonna try to sell it.

Evet since i updated my galaxy s5 to android 6.0.1. The alarm has failed to activate when connected to the dock. It seems to go off once i receive an incoming call.
3 times recently it has shut the lullaby off early because my phone was shutting down because it ran off the battery all night instead of charging like it should. Lucky the lack of the rain noise woke me up. Would have really made me mad if the silence hadn't woken me & I had been late to work. Have a backup. Update: now it also randomly changes the alarm time. Yesterday it was 3 minutes late, today it was 7 minutes late. Seriously?
I've been using this app as my go-to alarm clock for 2 years. I've used the dock - and had two of them break - but I keep the app around because I really like the features. My favorite thing is that I can wake to songs from my own music library. Smart silence is also great. Unfortunately, since upgrading to Android 6.0 the alarm won't go off unless the app is running and has focus, and so it's no longer useful to me.
4 stars for app 0 stars for dock, should not have to dim the phone for it to charge that is a joke
I use an HTC One S, and when I set the alarm, the hardware wouldn't play it, the hardware played the music/lullaby perfectly fine, but after playing the alarm a few times, I realized that only my phone speaker would play the alarms, please fix, this is a major inconvenience as my phone speaker is quiet, and I am a sound sleeper, leading me to sleep through my alarm.
Useful features. Exceeds expectations.
No vibrate?
Excellent product line backed by great apps.
This app just hits the sweet spot for me. It has an elegant UI with nice looking graphics. You can customize the font, color, and brightness of the clock, and you can create as many alarms as you want, configured exactly how you want them. Most importantly for me, it has an emergency calling feature that only allows a call through if the same person calls 3 times in 5 minutes. The only negatives are that some of the settings are a bit confusing and, if you're not using a dock, you have to reset your desired brightness level each time you open the app. Overall, I found this app to be the perfect combination of simplicity, features, and aesthetics.
Since the Lollipop update, the alarm doesn't sound on time.... I've watched it. The fade is completely turned off and it still is after I need it to sound. Will probably go to something else if not fixed soon.
Love the screen burn animation. Would like to be able to turn the 'smart silence is off' notification button at the bottom of the screen off. And adjusting the brightness of the clock adjusts the phone brightness so when exiting the app I have to reset my phone brightness. Please fix.

Lately, the app is acting very oddly. Lullaby feature doesn't work...I also get a static sound if I try to set the lullaby which I never got before. The alarm image seems to shrink and change positions all night long. Super irritating that this app doesn't have the same functionality it used to have. I have the hale docking station and I am not as happy as I was. Please fix these issues.--I could not live without t hi is app and alarm clock. Brilliant.
This is great app but is WAAAAY more complicated than it needs to be. After 3 nights of being awakened by a dog barking I finally figured out the method of controlling. Maybe if there was a manual that could be downloaded......OR maybe just make it simple. This is a perfect example of the KISS theory: Keep it simple, stupid.
My issues with the Hale Dreamer is the same as some of the others in that recently, the alarms will occasionally go off silently. Functionality and versatility is great, but what use is it when its not always reliable anymore?

I love this app, but ever since I updated my LG G3 to Lollipop there have been some problems with this app. Smart silence no longer works for me (notifications get through when it is on) and the volume knob on the dock now controls the ringer volume rather than music volume. If those two things were fixed I would have no problem giving this app 5 stars.
I just got this hale dreamer for my galaxy note 2. It seemed great until I played music through it. I cannot get the music to play on the normal google player that came with the phone. until this is fixed I will use airstream because at least that works and doesn't skip. All other features are great. It does however discharge the battery badly. Seems like it only has a 1 amp charger when it needs a 2.5 to keep it from draining. Future fix requested.
I love this app when it works, but what's keeping me from giving it a 5 star rating is that my display keeps going black. Its very frustrating. Can you plz tell me why that happens and how to fix it?????
I upgraded to a Galaxy S6 Edge and this app made my phone stop working properly. I would be on the phone call and then I couldn't hear anyone and they couldn't hear me (about 10 to 20 minutes into the call). This was my favorite app but not anymore. If they fix the problem I will change my rating. FYI: I went through 3 new galaxy edge phone before figuring out this app cause the problem.
Had this app and dock on my HTC and it worked great. Now i have a Sharp Aquod Crystal running running Android 4.2.2 and the smart silence doesn't work. Every time i go to Manage List and tap Add, it crashes. Please help.
This is a wonderful alarm app and works wonderfully with the dreamer alarm dock, but within the past couple weeks the app has been behaving differently than when I first got the app in March. It now no longer dismisses the alarm by just holding the snooze button in once (the settings I have are supposed to dismiss it so) it now prompts me to hit on screen confirmations to disable it, it also starts telling me that the screen needs to be dimmer in order for the phone to charge, it used to charge no matter.
Was having a problem with my Hale dreamer alarm clock. contacted customer service and with no questions asked they sent me a new unit. all companies should work this way

Loved it until late summer when it stopped charging my phone and actually ran it down to empty.

Works very nicely. I love the fade in alarm. I love the animated clock to prevent burn in. Would be nice to have the "lullaby" background sound last all night instead of one hour max. One thing does not work on my Samsung S7 Edge: The "SmartSilence On/Off" display does not disappear in full screen mode. (same as shown in the first screen shot of this web page.) Is there a way to fix this?
