TonalEnergy Tuner and Metronome

TE Tuner does not show the pitch that is being played. Even on it's own notes it doesn't show the right pitch. I believe this has been a problem for a long time and while it works for many people this is frustrating and really needs to be updated or refunded. I've tried all the big fixes on many different forms and none of them fixed the problem.

It's an all around great app. Recommended for drum corps. One problem. On the Analysis page where we can record audio, the three buttons "Rename", "Delete", and "Share" are way to close together! TOO MANY TIMES HAVE I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED A RECORDING WHEN I MEANT TO RENAME OR SHARE IT! Change this now by putting in confirmations for those buttons or make them bigger or more spread out. When that happens I'll change my rating to a great one

What happened to that update you claimed to be working on? Still waiting on it. I paid for this app twice. Back when I had an iPhone and now with my Android. This whole discount doesn't help those of us who bought it ages ago. Either give us a refund or update the app. This is like a 2008 tuner. Still waiting. Boycotting this app for poor service and poor interface

The drone isn't a continuous sound. It comes in and out, crackles, and overall sounds like Morse code rather than an actual note. Please fix this because it would otherwise be an awesome 5star app.

If I so much as touch the tuner while it's in tuner mode, it will stop and crash. Then I have to close and restart the whole app just so I can have someone hold it and not put it down because then it'll stop working. If I put it on high, it sort of works, but the sensitivity still feels like it's wayyyyyy down, even though I only use it in a completely silent room, I have to play very loud with the sensitivity on high for it to even register. Renders the whole app pointless.

As others have stated, the app is progressively getting worse and is vastly worse than its iOS counterpart. Some features that have been on the iOS version for years still are missing. I've contacted the developers and nothing has changed.

The tuner totally stopped working after one week of use, sound generator doesn't work at all. I would appreciate it if this issue could be fixed so i can have a better experience with the app.

It is a great app, I have had it forever and it has every thing I need. Tuning, tempo, what the note should sound like.... and it is on my phone, way better than a bulky pocket metronome or a tuner.

I can't get it to sense correctly. At first it was consistently reading flat compared to my Korg tuner. Then I must have done something because it thinks every other note is either C or G. The "user guide" doesn’t help as the iOS version seems significantly different and the website forums have nothing. Very disappointing. But at least the metronome works.

I love tonal energy, but when I got an LG G6 and installed it, the app was laggy and slow. The tune response is delayed and not smooth at all. If this is fixed, 5/5! But as is, while it's adequate if I have no options, I would reach for my friend's Tonal Energy over this one every time.

It's more than just a tuner, I couldn't have asked for anything more. This is the ideal for all musicians and it's worth every penny spent on it.

I have been in band for a while and this app has not once fails me love to death

The new update absolutely killed it. Completely unresponsive and laggy. Loved the old version though Edit: what was suggested helped a bit, but still nowhere near as responsive as the old version

Yes. The update is out and its fantastic, thank you. There is still some bugs here and there, but nothing that is above minor. App is great.

Great app for practicing! However, when will android get video recording features?

I just bought this for my son because he said his band teacher reccomends it, and it doesn't work at all. We have 2 other free apps that are completely self explanatory, this is so ridiculously complicated.

Love the updates, but whenever the metronome is on and the app is running in the background it's all over the place; lots of little hesitations. Really annoying!

What on Earth did you guys do to this app with this most recent update??? The old version was excellent and responsive. The tuner doesn't even work in this version and the UI is so cluttered, especially the metronome. The tuner now just turns on and off a bunch of times per second making it impossible to tune. I am a public and private school music educator who has been using tonal energy for years for tuning my ensembles because it was the most responsive and accurate tuner available in an app. Today I went to use the to tune with my brass ensemble and it was completely unusable. After rehearsal I tried to see if there were settings that needed adjusted and while I was doing that the app just froze up and came up with an error message stating it has stopped working. I am using a state of the art flagship smartphone with a snapdragon 835 processor and the old version worked so beautifully. What the heck is going on? Please fix these bugs so I can use my tonal energy again!

**EDITED** The tuner works really well, it's the metronome that's not great. The metronome will randomly hesitate and cause the beat to be off. The metronome bug has been fixed! The app is extremely useful and the metronome is great! Thanks for fixing it!

The tuner is finally recognizing my horn's sound waves with the update, however with a lot of the new features, I get a little confused as to what does what. Like maybe if there was a walkthrough or just a little info what this is.

So I've been using this app for a while when I was in high school, but then when I went to college I went as a Computing major. I recently got back into music and reinstalled TE because I knew I could rely on it. I have yet to test the actual tuner function in terms of accuracy, however there are many glitches that I've seen with the latest version, the first and foremost of which is a deal breaker for me: The app screens flicker off and on sometimes, and I know it's not my phone as I never had the problem in any other app. As a Computing major, I find this unacceptable, however it may not bother others as it bothers me. The other major issue I saw is that the accent sound for the metronome someyimes just doesn't work. I used the Dr. Beat sound set, and I know that the met is not playing that correctly. TL;DR: Screen flickering in and out needs fixed and accent for met doesn't work. I will edit if any other issues occur. Regardless of its problems, TE is an app that I still would recommend for any musician. Thanks, devs, and have a great day. Regards, Eric

It just doesn't work. Doesn't register any sound. I'm running Android 7.1.1 on the Google pixel so maybe it's a compatibility issue but I'm disappointed that I spent money and it doesn't work at all EDIT: APP now works. Thank you

I was having problems with the android app freezing when being used in a multivoice environment but this update seems to have fixed the problem and it is now on a par with the iOS version - well done

Great app. Only thing that would make it better is making it able to rotate into landscape mode. The analysis mode would particularly benefit from this. Edit: great update!

Works great, I use it in my band class everyday and mirror the screen to my projector via a Chromecast. It has everything you need to be the all-in-one app for musicians.

Was extremely happy to see them make this as streamline as iOS in this recent update and am now 100% comfortable recommending this app to any musician looking for a professionally made app.

Very happy with this app. As a Trumpet player it does just what I need.

Love the way this works for helping to maintain pitch. One problem. I'm using an Ellipsis QTAIR7 tablet, running 5.1. When I originally installed the app, it would work in both landscape and portrait modes, depending on orientation. Now it only goes into portrait mode, even with setting set for rotate with orientation. Please fix. Tablet won't stand in portrait mode and the app is becoming unusable for me.

The tuner has stopped functioning correctly (Android). Everything is showing up 30 cents flat, even the pitches played by the app itself. It's really put a kink in my private teaching and personal practice. Ive been using this app several times a day, but now I until now.

No update for Android? As a music educator I want to be on the same page as my students and half of them have apple phones. If you charge the same price to Android as you do for Apple, the work shouldn't be half-assed and only work updates for one system. I will change my rating after this is changed.
