About Pi-ano

Mathematicians and mystics alike, have always been fascinated by the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, better known as Pi.
Most people know it to be 3.14, but the real number is a transcendental, irrational number, which goes on forever.

This App uses the Gregory–Leibniz series formula, to continuously work out Pi in real time, sending each digit to a sound generator. The sound generator plays a piano chord based on the number and accompanies it with 3 single notes.
Speed, and key (minor or major) can be changed as the music plays.
The app will continue playing as the algorithm gets further into the number.

Listen for a few minutes or a few years, Pi-ano will always be able to take you deeper.

But dreadful noise. The tones between the chords are so shocking, I was thinking how appropriate it was that apps are classed as Execution Software!

N70%

That was the worst app ever. You can't press anything because the keys are too small and the tune was way off. It sounded horrible and it just wasn't fun.

Y70%

It hurts to listen to this. Needs customizability for sounds. The piano sounds out of tune. And graphically, all I see is a gray field with buttons. Not worth the download.

I love every minute. It's at least as good as listening to a Schumann resonance right? I want a sequel...Euler's number or parabola, you know

be better if it had a dot selected list of midi instruments to select from like ah's and oh's chorus and flutes etc ,but pretty good, made me think of a drunken midwestern guy whos name is Pi Mo Jackson IV playing piano in a corn feild angry at monstanto..

Leave it running a few days and then plug your phone into a big sound system. Leave it running permanently and keep a close ear for any repeating patterns. Pretty sure they're there. Leave it running.
