Trucker's Slide Calc for Android
Figuring out where to put your tandem axles is easy. Don't make it more complicated than it needs to be. Most 54' dry van trailers are built the same. Each hole adjusts the weight by about 2,000lbs. (If the shipper loaded it correctly). After you do your first weigh... If it's too heavy in the front, slide the tandem forward. If it's too heavy in the back, slide them back. Simple.
I can do the same thing with a calculator, but this is more convenient. would like to see an option or screen where I could experiment with different pin positions and see the calculated weights. For example if I need to make the tandems heavier to allow for fueling later.
I like this app and use it all the time I'm a new Driver. My question is all of our trailer we have. Have stop bars that are usually in the 5th or 6th hole witch ends up putting my locks when slide all the way forward in the 7th or 8th hole. And in your setting you have one that says slide scale. So if my stop bar is in the 5th hole. I should set it to 5 to 50 slide right? . And my start hole where my locks are in the 8th hole. When slide all the way forward. I always start off slide all the way up
Why make another app? If a friend didn't post I would have never known a new one was available.. weird
From now on I will advise all my trainees to download this app. I think it will help them out a lot and probably keep them out of trouble.
It was working good... Then I scale my truck and my drives are over 34000 and I put my info in and it told me that I'm in the best possible hole and all I had to do is move the tandems 2 holes then I was good to go... I just don't know why it said I was good but I was still over on my drives
Only reason it's not 5 stars is I would like to see an option for sliding 5th wheel. Other than that this is a great app!
This app is acurate on every trip. I've checked it against cat scale and after getting use to the app I never re weight anymore. This app will save you money!!
I have Samsung Galaxy J7. It doesn't allow me to input the number for the hole the trailer currently has.
Awesome!!!! Love the app it's a great tool. "Tool" drivers.... It's a cool thing to have people listen. Thx again
This is pretty good. I am a dispatcher and take a lot of calls. My guesses are good but I will try this app.
The cool thing while moving axles is "HUG" trailer hug tractor and give weight and vice versa with this way you will never move in wrong direction.
From the looks of it hope this will help me and keep me from getting into trouble
This app has saved me thousands of over weight fines
A waste of data
SHOULD HAVE OPTION FOR 5th WHEEL POSITION AND AMOUNT OF FUEL CAPACITY AND AMOUT OF FUEL YOU HAVE IN THE TANKS!
Off by only 5lbs perfect, saved me $6 or more rescales, money in the pocket . Thanks for this app
Only opens in landscape view. Overrides setting for screen rotation. Deleting app.
Simple math equation, subtract drives from trailer, decide the difference. Depending on the space between holes...500-750 per hole. Never have I been wrong.
It's great for every where except for California where you have the KPRA ( Bridge law) (King pin to rear axle)
Needs to account for bridge laws by state.
Its a cool app But just fyi your steer axels limit is not 12000. Its 14000
Perfect to cover your butt so you dont get nailed by DOT
Helps figure slide adjustments for trailers
Takes out trying over and over
Helpful when l am clueless. Thanks.
Won't let me enter current hole #
Takes the guess work out
As a Scalehouse operator this is an extremely handy app to use assisting drivers
Would be nice to know if the measurements on the holes is edge to edge or center of hole to center of hole
Great app! It hits the mark 90% of the time.
Use all the time
Great app. Wish it would have state bridge law's.
Truck slide computation
Use it all the time
A big help for me. I a new driver
It's a pretty cool app no complaints

Very nice

Very decent app. Was looking for something like this 5 years ago when I started trucking. Needs to have a setting selector for 500lb APU exemption, which allows an additional 500lb gross. Also, should take into consideration state laws for steers - 12000 isn't actually accurate for most states, it's low
