Secret Of Happiness for Android
I enjoy the app and love the idea but needs to add the ability to edit. If you forget in the morning its impossible to do it later and if you try to do the evening reflection after midnight it goes to the next day and you're out of luck. With the option to edit after posting I would give more stars.
I think this app has potential, however there are some design considerations that I'd like the developers to know about. The entry fields are very tiny. The touch targets are too small for average finger size. I'm female with small fingers, & I had trouble tapping in the right spot. There is also no menu or home button on the entry screen. A way to go to the home screen or settings should be available on most or all screens. But overall, it's simple to use.
It's a really simple but effective app. You get out of it what you put into it. It sends you reminders in the morning and in the evening, so you remember to do your assignment. It offers you that chance to reflect. If you don't erase the notification, it has that bright yellow sun hanging out in the notification bar. It's pretty easy to see. You can look back through at your previous answers.
The idea of the app is nice but has some flaws: if you miss the evening one and add after midnight it enters the next day accomplishment. Also a few times the morning session disapeared and couldnt fill it out by later opening the app. Would be nice to have options to edit and add at different times in the day then only during the reminder set times.
It's helpful to follow the very simple instruction to update diary at the times You specify you will. It's helpful to keep a paper diary if this is proving difficult. However. I think CBT is a tool for reintroducing control and structure to your life. I might be wrong. .. But I appreciate the discipline of updating on time, you could use an alarm reminder? GF
Very clean and simple interface. No fuss at all. It establishes a very good habit, and the habit serves my ultimate purpose. However, while using the app if i miss the end of the day or start of the day reminder notification (like if i accidently clear it from my notification bar), i cant find the option to enter my Details in the app. So it makes me skip the entry even if i dnt want to. Pls do the necessary ammendment to the app. Thanks.
I am honestly loving the app alot. Love the idea. However I will change my star rating to 5 stars if you let us post to the day we want or edit yesterday's post. I was so busy today I just sat down to chk my notifications and I am 13 minutes after midnight so I couldn't do my evening post for today and I was looking forward to writing it and now it's on the next day. Kind of frustrating but like the apps idea. Plz fix this.
A gentle reminder to help focus on positive events in daily life. It has helped me to feel better by keeping me more aware of things for which I am grateful. Doesn't take lots of time to enter information, keeping it easy to stick to it (at least for me).
Its perfect besides the lack of option to write the evening entry after midnight. I have yet to find out if the record stays in my account for good and tranferrable or not. Otherwise I will give it a 3.5. If compared with other apps I will rate it a 5. Because I'm just really being picky here!
I am still getting used to remembering to write what I am thankful for in the mornings. If you don't log for the morning thanks after a while you miss it for the day. I can't decide if that is good or not. I should be more regimented with myself and get it done. Then again if I don't and wish to do it later yet no longer have the chance because I missed the window I feel sometimes I should still give thanks... perhaps a few settings are in order. Team work makes the dream work.
I honestly don't know what I would do without it because it's become part of my morning and nightly routine. I can scroll through and review the recap of each day since I started it, so i can smile at all the things that make me happy in my life.
Spiritually very supportive to take time to give thanks to God. To review reasons to be thankful, meditation is embued. It does demand a bit of disciplined intention...could be worse. As a newby user cannot speak to the mechanics. Other comments seem very useful
Simple app. Record 3 things you're grateful for and, if you sleep a normal schedule, one thing you'd like to accomplish that day at the start and one thing that happened that you were grateful for at the end. Four stars for that. However, even though I changed the notifications to the proper times that I wake and sleep at (I work third shift), it still prompts me with the opposite reminder at my scheduled time. Oh well. Not quite the same but a similar app I will continue to use in place of this is Happier.
Simple app that does what it says, with only a few minor flaws. Unfortunately it didn't quite improve my happiness despite using it for 30 days, and reading my notes reminds me of the negative circumstances from which I wrote down the silver linings...
Very simple design, cool idea. Many entries are repetitive, making it harder to think if higher ideas. If you miss one, you can't go back for it. I'm not quite sure yet if it is helping me or stressing me out more.
I love the concept. And the logic behind it. However there are a few little things...like I am unable to change the evening time. Not a huge deal, but its not working. It would also be nice if we could share our lists with an in app community, even if anonymously. It would be like inspiration. Also a gratitude reminder or affirmation notification randomly sent through the day would make this perfect :) namaste
It's simple, easy to use, doesn't take more than 5 minutes a day. The bad thing is that you have to write the night sentence before midnight, otherwise it goes right for the next day.
Love this app - only reason it didn't get 5 stars is cos after 30 days I had to uninstall and then install again so I can keep going with it. Also, no edit function. 100% helps me think more positively ☺
I was skeptical as this just seemed to be overly simplistic and commonsense. But sometimes even if we know something, we need to actually do it. I have been doing this for 12 days now and it has helped. Forcing myself to find more unique positives is changing my life and reading my accumulated list reinforces this.
I like this app very much. It helps you realize the positive things in your life while also setting goals for a positive future. I like how you enter in thoughts day and night. Only criticism is I wish you can enter in more positives throughout the day if you wanted.
The one snafu is that the color of the background makes it so that I can't read what I've typed until I submit. Can make for funny results/auto corrects. Other thing is I work swing shift so I sometimes miss the end of the day thing cause I'm still working. Wish I could set the timing.
I like it but I feel like I'm thankful for a lot of the same things. Which is not bad per say and has nothing to do with the app. I would like to be able to post to the days that I want in case I miss one. I work nights and my days and nights flip flop alot. Thanks
If you miss the evening post, and you dont get time to post till after midnight, it pays to the next day. You should be able to choose the day you're posting to.
I think this helps a lot especially if you intend to beat yourself up over minor things that are insignificant in your life. It has help me a lot within the last two weeks....I have not gotten certain negative things out of my life but with this app it is gradually helping me little by little.
Great way to remind me to always be thankful, and always consider the fact that things can be much worse. Life is GREAT, lets keep the love going
Just started using it. It does help put me in a positive mindset at the beginning and end of each day.
Because I'm transgender (FtM), every single day I have stigmas forced upon me by society, but this actually, really helps me cope. I even recommended it to my boyfriend, who is also trans. Thank you for creating this app, it's awesome.
This app makes you take time out of your day to slow down and unwind. It does this by having you list things you are thankful for and also by setting goals. Although a simple concept I really have enjoyed it.
Nothing much to it, but good positive idea. So far I'm still giving it a try.
I absolutely love this app and how it has changed my life. But as mom who is always on the go, sometimes midnight and on is when I have time to settle into my moments of gratitude. So its sometimes a pain when I don't type my end of day response before midnight and that it automatically moves it to the new days end of day.
It's a great reminder when waking up cranky and will ensure sweet dreams of gratefulness
Love the gentle reminders and authentic posts you can write each day. Using this app has made me more motivated, appreciative, happy, and positive :)
I dont feel silly its nice quikly writing a happy part of each day
Yeah it helps. So simple. Update: i changed phones about 3 weeks ago. And didn't install this app again until yesterday. I'm not sure if this is pure coincidence, but wow, what a difference. I think this app could just be my lucky charm!
I love it because it sends me reminders that you can pick the time for and it's so quick and easy to fill out! Very user friendly and straight forward exactly what I was looking for
I really like the nightly journal of things that made me happy that day! It's important to appreciate even the little things in life.
Using galaxy s3, running into problems with it not letting me enter anything if I don't immediately get the notification during the time it's set for. I think edits and manual entries would make this app much better, but otherwise it's swell.
A great little app to make you think about good things. A total must for negative Nellies like me!
This app is so wonderful. I always start the day on a positive note with it, and the reminders help me stay on track with it. I've only been using it for a week so far and I've already noticed improvements in my mood and my depression hasn't been so bad recently because of it. I've never felt compelled to write a review of an app until this one came along. I love this app!!

Works great to help think positive. Supports commitment to the thought process through notifications. The only thing is that u can't add your end of day relevation after midnight. Unlike others I waited for a month to review the app and it is exactly what I wanted. I don't try to use this as a tracker so I don't care that I can't go back and change my inputs - that isn't the point anyway. Just write down some things that make u feel good and then let it set your mood. Look forward not backward!
