About Tune Announcer Pro
ANNOUNCER
This application speaks the track name, artist and album title when playing music using the default media players, or others that support scrobbling.
It's useful if you have a large music collection and cannot see the screen to check the names, e.g whilst exercising.
It uses the native Text-to-Speech capabilities of the device to speak. If you don't like the way it speaks, or pronounces words, then download an alternative TTS provider for your device. Try the SVOX ones, they may be better!
TOASTER
Tune Announcer also toasts the song details whilst speaking. Shows the album cover, track name, artist and album name.
The details of the tune pop up are large enough to be comfortably and safely read whilst driving.
Toasts can be enabled and disabled independently of the Announcements.
TASKER Support

SPEAK AT END OF TRACK
This relies on the track containing a reasonable estimate of the time as well as it being scrobbled correctly. Scrobble Droid, Google Music, Double Twist and the Built in Android/HTC players all seem to be OK for scrobbling track length.
If you fast forward through a track, or pause it, then there will be no speech at the end. Android does not scrobble this information.
Toasts always appear at the start of the track, regardless of 'speak at end' setting.
SPEECH VOLUME
On some devices the speech volume can be quiet, especially when played through headphones or over bluetooth. Unfortunately this is a limitation of the device and Android OS. We can't fix these problems so please try the free version before buying the paid version.
PRE-REQUISITES
For Tune Announcer to work, your music player MUST support SCROBBLING. Tune Announcer supports a variety of common scrobble formats and will work with most players that implement scrobbling. Some players require that you enable scrobbling in their settings. Furthermore, some players won't scrobble unless you install the LastFM scrobble client. Usually, it is enough just to install it, you don't always need to register with LastFM to scrobble.
Turn on Tune Announcer's debug mode and play music. If you don't get any 'toast' messages with debug scrobble information, then your music player is not scrobbling. Either change your music player's settings, or change your music player. Tune Announcer is NOT psychic, it requires the player to scrobble.
To speak, your device must have an Text-to-Speech service built in. All modern Android OS's will have this, though you may need to enable or download the speech libraries. Check your Android OS Settings under Language and Input.

Very usefull app.I have a lot of songs on phone and cannot remember all songs .Handy when i go for a run/driving and a song plays and i don't like song As i know name /or artist ,I can delete song later from phone ! Been using app for long time ,works fine .No problem( Note 3 ) Thanks for updates.

Does what it says flawlessly. Very customisable and one of the few apps on the Play Store of its kind. Also, VERY good development team - today (a Sunday) I installed it onto a different device (Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact) and whenever the app should have spoken what is playing, it force closed. I sent a report to the developer and now (same day) the problem has been fixed! Cannot recommend this app enough

The app works as stated, but seems a little dated in design. It would be nice to see some theming options. Also would like to see options for adding the Google Play Music thumbs up/down buttons IF that's possible.

Does what it says - voice is only as good as your tts engine but the app itself is flawless. Very customisable and one of the few apps on the Play Store of its kind. Edit - won't update due to an incorrect signing of a package file (???). Still a great app though

Very well written! I couldn't ask for a better software. I love using this while driving so that I don't have to exit my navigation app to see what song is playing. Also great for the gym or while running. Sometimes you just aren't in the mood for a song and need to skip before it really gets started. It also works well with streaming apps such as Milk Music. Developers are very proactive, and even quickly implemented one of my suggested features.

Great app for when you can't take your eyes off of something, or you want an easy and quick way to see what song just started playing. Very friendly and willing developer!

I really like this app. Very useful while you are hearing music while you are doing something else and cannot afford to constantly switching on your device to check the name of the track. It will instantly tell you the details. With network speech synthesis turned on, the voice even sounds clearer. Great work devs!

I love this feature on the iPod Nano, but I need to press a button to make it work on the Nano. This app just works and the voice is clear. I have many classical pieces and can't recognize all of them at first listen. I fee sorry for commenter's who have so few tracks in their collection that they recognize them all. Widen your horizons! Thanks again - great app.

The voice output is too quiet - it's hard to hear track names over headphones in noisy public places, please include louder voice output settings, I find this app practically unusable unless I'm in a quiet room...

I listen to lots of new music and often in shuffle mode. No mobile player could better inform me about the tune I listen than a voice-over from Announcer. First of all a player is usually in my pocket. Or it is unsafe to look at screen while driving. Most players display tune info in a hard to read way. Also the support is excellent.
