Finance for Android
The developers have not figured out how to import QIF files from all versions of financial software. They responded well to my first issue and sent a fix. It did indeed fix the first issue only to reveal another. I don't have time for this. Uninstalled.
I was looking for a simple personal accounting app that meets my requirements: (1) compatible with my Nexus 7, (2) allows me to interface with my Google Drive and (3) allows me to import QIF files. I found "Finance Free" but it did not meet my 3rd requirement. So, I decided to go for the paid version which allows me to import QIF files. I downloaded and installed the paid version on my Nexus 7, saved my account files (QIF format) on my Google Drive and tried to import them from there. Failed! It gave this error message: QIF Import error There was a date recognition problem importing the QIF file. Please notify the developers and include the following message: Unrecognized date format in QIF file So, I followed the advice to notify the developers. I sent them an email with the error message attached. I was very impressed with the quick response and the excellent support. The issue was resolved after two nights which is great support service considering the time difference. The app is working smoothly for now. I'll see how it goes from here. Thanks again for the great service!
