About Chattr Messenger
Chattr is a SMS text messaging app that allows you to communicate for free.
Chattr is based on the default Android messaging app and functions exactly the same way for any text messages you send or receive. However, when you use Chattr to text another Chattr user all of your messages are free!
WHY USE CHATTR:
★NO HIDDEN COST: Chattr is supported completely by your donations. Once you and your friends download the app you can use it to chat as much as you want. Send millions of messages a day to your friends for free! Chattr uses your internet connection when you're chatting with another Chattr user so there are no SMS charges!
★SECURE: Chattr messages are encrypted during transmission to and from your device.
★GROUP CHAT: Save time with group conversations.
★MULTIMEDIA: Send pictures and audio to your friends and contacts.
★NO INTERNATIONAL CHARGES: Every been burned by international SMS fees? Send messages to your friends with Chattr and avoid those international SMS fees.
★NO PINS OR USERNAMES: Don't know your friend's AIM, MSN, Yahoo, GChat, and ICQ handles? No problem. Chattr just uses their phone number.
★NO NEED TO LOG IN/OUT: No worries about whether you're logged in or not. You don't have to log in to receive regular SMS messages and you don't have to log in to receive Chattr messages either.
★NO NEED TO ADD BUDDIES: You never need to add someone as a buddy with Chattr. Just enter their mobile number or pick it from your address book and send your message.
★OFFLINE MESSAGING: With Chattr you won't lose contact just because you're on a plane. If don't have any signal or turn your phone off Chattr will store your incoming messages until you come back online and can retrieve them.
IMPORTANT Note For Moto G and Moto E Users: If you disable the default messaging app that comes with your phone in System -> Apps no other SMS messaging apps will work. You need to leave the messaging app that came with your phone installed and active for other messaging apps to work or you will experience errors sending and receiving messages.

I love this app. It's seemless and works great. I love that it's free and let's me sent and receive text messages as usual.

What's not to like? Works seamlessly as a text messaging app and with option for truly free sms

I tried this out because I use the other app they made. This one works the same way for regular messages, which is good, but it also seems to send messages to other phones with this app installed for free. It shows a little red icon marking all of the free messages in your conversation. If you don't have an unlimited plan this could be pretty nifty.
