Snapchat

What IDIOT decided that it would be a good idea to force sounds for notifications now for the most recent update for android. It interrupts my music and makes noise when it's inconvenient. At least give us an option to turn it off. And what was wrong with using the basic filters like time stamp without turning on location? I don't want to turn on my location just for that. I use Snapchat a lot but I hate it so much when they have stupid updates like this that are way too invasive.

Everything has been much improved until you required my GPS to be on in order to use the extra filters you swipe to access. I leave my GPS off so it doesn't drain my battery. I leave it off because it's like a drunk guy yelling out all your info wherever you go. You don't need to know what part of a city I'm in just so I can adjust the lighting on a pic/video. It's unnecessary and highly invasive for you to demand my location 24/7 in order to fully enjoy the app. Jerk move. I really liked the app, but this is ridiculous.

Unfortunately, picture quality is still horrible, especially compared to iPhones and Instagram in general. This new update took away the great color selection on Android and ability to select the lighten and darken brush. Such a downgrade. Also removing the circle timer on top without replacing it with an alternative was a bad call. Who decides these things? I don't feel like I upgraded at all... Recent update has made the app intolerably slow. Original 10.0 update was a vast improvement. Now things are slowly becoming bloated again.

It's usually a wonderful app. One of my favorites. It's great being able to talk to my friends and show them what I'm doing so easily. But the last update ruined that. It won't tell me when someone sends me anything. I'll see they opened it, say, 14 minutes ago and led time on read. Then I'll check maybe 10 minutes later and it'll say that they sent me something 23 minutes ago. Sometimes I'll open a chat and it will be a random thing from a conversation we were having a few hours ago. Nothing of mine will send to them either. It's all messed up. Fix it.

Won't let me add any of my friends, it keeps telling me it's "forbidden." So I update it thinking that might help, all it did was remove my profile picture & replaced it with a bitmoji. I uninstalled & reinstalled & now it won't even let me sign back in. Keeps saying something went on with server to try again later. This is so frustrating. Before this I put up with videos taking forever to load, or not even sending my pictures or videos. It's a "fun" app when it works & I like that its a "quick" form of communication, but other than that I am dissapointed in this app. Apparently some of my friends are going through the same.

I love the filters, but the talking ones are like Chinese converted to English movies-the mouth movements don't match the sound. On top of that, here lately my friend's stories won't update for me to watch and the filters won't come up for me to use. I've triple checked to make sure my app is updated and still it is messing up bad. I also lost the profile pic I had up and now have to have Bitmoji for a profile pic... NOT HAPPY at all! If you could fix these things, then I would change my rating to a 5 star.

Love this app! But, somehow, the sound came on whenever I get a snap and there's no way to turn it off. I went into the settings in the app itself and there's nothing there to change it. I hate the sound and want my vibrate back. Which it doesn't do anymore! The clicking sound whenever I get a snap freaks my dad out. Give me my notification changes back.

The amount of times I've been locked out of my account for unknown reasons is unbelievable. 3/4ths of the time I have to use my old ipod touch just to be able to log into my account. Not only this, their support is absolutely horrendous. I've emailed them twice and have yet to hear back. Now I can't record video from my back camera. This app is ridiculous

What in the world is going on with the messaging system. I can't get give one until like hours pass and dont recieve a response hours later. I love Snapchat, it helps me reach friends who only use this app, but now I can't even talk to anyone. After this most recent update my Snapchat has just reached the point of useless. Please fix this. You didnt fix any bugs you created many more bugs.

I'm guessing this came with the latest update, but I can't take a photo with my back facing camera without the shutter sound going off and making everything lag. There's also no shutter sound disabling button to turn this feature off. I'm extremely frustrated. I also have noticed that suddenly, I'm getting notification noises when I get new snaps and there's no option to change this. Really, snapchat?

I love it but it recently got rid of a great feature in one of the updates where I can no longer draw with transparent colors. I loved this feature so much and expected more colors to draw transparently but instead the removed it completely. They did add a feature of drawing with emojis. However, this is limited to 8 emojis, being 5 different colored hearts, rainbows in boxes, and gay and lesbian kisses. I can't draw in fire or water but I can doodle with gay kisses and green hearts. Fix this. Don't need to get rid of anything, just add in the old feature you just got rid of and make the emojis either change or be customized.

The app itself is rlly nice to have, but it is incredibly glitchy. Sometimes when I'm taking a photo and try and delete it it freezes up so I close out of the app and go back in but it's just a black screen whenever I try again too. So then I have to wait a while before it will work again and so I can finally reply to the person that I just left on read. It also freezes up a lot when I'm trying to use the filters. It does the whole black screen thing when I go back in as well. Please fix these glitches snapchat they are getting worse and worse.

Its my most favorite app that I have ever used and it's really entertaining but the only problem is that I don't like it house we have to use our location in able to use the filters and I don't like how our bitmoji is our profile picture now it's kinda stupid. Overall I love this app and I would definitely recommend this app to other people. It's an easy way to communicate

Okay Snapchat, I love it. I love everything about it, it just keeps improving and I just love it! Butttttt..... I have a Samsung galaxy s7 edge and Everytime I watch someone's story, literally I'll flip to reply to a snap and flip back to watch stories and the same stories I've already watched are there again! Ugh! So o have to watch the same stories around 3 times for Snapchat to register the fact I've watched them. Annoying! I know it's just a bug issue or my phone being retarded and I know you guys will fix it so I'm not too fussed. But it's annoying and I thought I'd let you guys know!

Usually, I don't have a problem with Snapchat. But here recently, my snaps and messages wont be able to send, or takes too long to send. It's the app's problem, not my internet. Also, it never notifies me when someone texts me. And when the app does notify me, the person isn't even sending anything. Horrible, please fix this soon.

I use Snapchat on a daily basis and it's one of my favourite social media platforms. It's very reliable, the filters are great and it's a good way to "keep in touch" with friends. The only problem is that I recently came across a glitch where it basically went crazy, saying I got snapchats from an hour ago even though I was just talking to that person. I'm sure it'll fix with a simple reinstall though.

Good app but the messaging system is all kinds of fucked after the new update ill send messages or snaps and friends will get the same message like 5 or 6 times or wont get it till an hour later or ill get theyre messages hours later but the time stamp will say 3 hours before i received it or itll just say typing... And ill get nothing for an hour then get the message or snap

Overall, I believe that snapchat is a great app concept. However, considering the fact that the app is marketed towards teens, most of whom have yet to fully develop their values/opinions/beliefs, it annoys me that the app contains featured "news" stories comprised of either digital tabloids or liberal-biased political propaganda. The tabloid-like stories teach these teens to care about meaningless things and the biased politics teaches them to form opinions based on one sided information.

What is with this "cant change username for security reasons" bs? is this really for us the common folks out here or is it to distinguish between these celebs cause let's face it that's who you really cater to. I would never and probably won't update if this is the type of stunts you guys pull.

One of my favorite apps but some bug issues need to be fixed! When goimg to open some snaps nothing is there. The camera force stops (only in this app). The quality is not great. And messages that i have already seen pop up out of nowhere as a new message.

I, for the life of me, cannot even use this app. Every single time I try to it crashes on me and force closes. I have in installed, reinstalled, restarted my phone... Numerous times... Always the same story...Update after update and this can't be fixed?? Would be a 5 star for me if I could ever get it to work, but as it stands, I wish I could give it negative stars.

I love the app, I just hate that you have to turn tour location on now to get ANY feature now, like colors, the time and etc. I don't keep my location on 24/7 for how badly it kills my battery, and it's an inconvience to turn it on to add a simple feature versus just the two tag now. Them most of the time, it'll glitch and won't give you the color options unless you retake the photo.. and at that point I lose interest and give up.

The app itself is great, but it's become so glitchy on my phone (Samsung s5) that I literally cannot open the camera or any stories without the app just crashing. This needs to be fixed! I've done everything I could think of to fix it (including deleting and installing the app again), but this seems to be an issue on their end, not mine, and these bugs are something that need to be fixed as soon as possible.

I use to love Snapchat. Now it bugs out all the time and it took away the option for me to turn off the stupid click sound when someone sends me a snap. Now the only way for me to shut this off now is to block all notifications from snap. Give me back the option because that noise sucks. I don't want my phone making noise every time I get a snap.

Snapchat is a good app that lets you talk to your friends and share fun pictures, but it would be better if Snapchat didn't delete messages from a conversation once someone leaves and if Snapchat can add games that you can play in-app like most chatting apps. Otherwise, Snapchat is great!

I have no idea what you guys did on this last update but it is completely killing my battery. Never had a battery issue before this last update, I could go 8am-10pm normal usage and not need to charge my phone. I didn't touch my phone for 3 hours today because of meetings, saw my battery was nearly gone and guess what application had used 20% of my battery in those 3 hours? This one.And when I was in the application itself for 5 minutes, my battery drained a percent a minute. This is absolutely absurd.

I love Snapchat it has so many cool features that I love to use everyday and I also like how you can chat and video call your friends. But what I don't like is how it's always kicking me out even after I update it.

I am happy that I can see my friends but I do like to see new funny or just cute cut out so I can be able to send it to my friends and family. May I suggest that you add more face cut off that is not too creepy looking? Thank you in advance.

Simple and easy to use! I don't use much social media. Almost none. This is the only exception as it's not asking for your life's story. Just a snap

I use snapchap on a regular basis, taking pictures of my kids n videos throughout the day to show my husband n family but lately its been crashing like crazy. Sometimes i cant even open the app because my phone will restart by itself. At first i thought it was just my phone having a glitch but seeing peoples reviews on here and noticing that it only happends when opening or using the app had me realize its the app thats doing this. Please fix it i would seriously appreciate it, like i said i use snapchat on a daily basis please fix this bug

This update is horrendous. Since when is it necessary for you to track my location in order to change the lighting of a picture?! No one in this day and age has the battery life to keep location switched on. Love the app usually but this update has probably halved my usage. Sort it out.

The app took away my ability to disable sound notifications in-app. The ability was there until the update yesterday and I didn't notice until I got a Snapchat this morning that came with a loud notification. I checked my settings and the disable sound notification option was no longer there so I have now disabled ALL notifications. What a dumb thing to remove. Absolutely incredibly dumb.

I don't get notifications anymore. My phone used to vibrate for a notification and it was convenient, but now I don't even have that option. Snapchat is my favourite app, but I don't want to have to keep checking my phone constantly to see if I have a notification. I love it, but not enough for it to consume my time that much. Please fix this.

Why would u force us to share location to use the filters I don't know but I hate it!! Having gps on drains so much battery anyway so I never turn it on and its annoying because I'm a private person and hate sharing my location with apps, its too invasive and utterly unnecessary!!! Also I don't care about the public snap stories at all I wish there was an option to turn that off as that just uses storage and data. Also, as many people have said is the camera quality! I just got a new phone too and you can't tell with my pics!

It isn't letting me receive messages. And it says I have messages but I actually don't. This needs to be fixed quickly cause this app will definitely go down hill fast. I have been told by a couple of my friends the same thing is happening on there Snapchat.

It's fine, except the "Discover" part of it is always unavailable and it's very annoying. All the featured stories like Buzzfeed, Cosmopolitan etc don't load. I've checked on friend's Snapchats and they load immediately. No matter how good or bad the Internet connection is.

I really enjoy this app and look forward to more updates....the features are wonderful and it's a really good way to communicate with friends or family....Also to see what other people are doing during the day or night when they post stuff on their story.I recommend this to people who don't have snapchat and love social media.

This is just ridiculous, Snapchat. Really? This is really pissing me off. First of, why do you release the updates way earlier for iPhones? It doesn't make any sense. Let's start with the camera. This happen with both of the cameras and it's DRIVING ME CRAZY. I take up the camera screen. I take a photo and it freezes for a sec and then the picture is not what I saw when I took the photo. It shows me what happened on the camera like 3 seconds before I snapped the photo. Please help. Samsung galaxy j5
