NowForce for Android

Best emergency app !!
Battery consumption has improved dramatically. The rumours have it that they are going to improve it even more soon.
I wish I could give it 5 stars ! It's a great idea, and seems like a well implemented back-end system. My phone, however, has a few issues with it: 1. My battery drained today in 5 hours (used to last over a day). 2. It keeps causing disruptive screen refreshes as it tries to gain focus quite often, on its own. 3. It keeps complaining when either GPS, or Internet is not connected (may be related to #2 above). Perhaps the app should check for connectivity only when the slider is activated (and turn it on only then if not connected). It could run dry connectivity test as part of the initial setup, and/or periodically. I realize it may introduce a delay of several seconds, but as it is now, it's not working for me (Lollipop 5.1 version on Galaxy Note ) Update: After uninstalling it, and operating it for a while, and then re-installing it, I can testify for sure that it's a battery 'grinder' - unfortunate. I had to uninstall it until it gets fixed.

I love the idea and registered the app. If anyone in Israel cannot find the reg link, I saw it on failedmes.... web site. #bringbackourboys
Safespot does the job better and is much much simpler to use. Why should I have to sign up??
I discovered this application in the "Start-up Israel" newsletter, which claimed that following the recent kidnapping of three Israeli youngsters this application is offered free of charge to the Israeli public. I installed the App and on opening it was presented with an Initial Login screen that requested my ID and Password. There was also a notice that this application is intended for NowForce registered users. However, there seems to be no way of registering. I went to the NowForce web site where I discovered that I should apparently click on the Try Now button and possibly tick an "Ask for Demo" request. However, this required filling out a form and I found that this includes an "Organization Type" field that hints that the registration is actually intended for use by potential first responders rather than for the general public. I conclude that the "Start-up Israel" article was somewhat optimistic and in fact the NowForce App will only be offered to the Israeli public some time in the future. It's a pity they couldn't have taken advantage of the publicity to sign on users but I suppose it would take time to get ready. Anyhow, it seems like a good idea...
