About SMS Rank
When you are trying to learn a language sometimes you learn useless phrases - like "I am American" - which you won't be saying in everyday conversation. In the Spanish lesson I did this morning, I learned the word for bear, parrot, and potatoes... I don't think I'll be saying any of those words to my friends today.
The best way to learn a language is to practice with people right? When I went to go study abroad in China, this was the exact problem I faced. I wanted to learn those words that I would be texting and Facebook messaging everyday - which would give me daily practice and increase my fluency.
The text messages you send daily to your friends contains a wealth of information about what topics and words are most important to us. These are the words you'll be using on a daily basis. SMS Rank will aggregate all of your text messages and then rank the most frequently used words to the least; its your own personalized vocabulary list.
While the best thing to do would be to ask a native or consult a dictionary to learn your personalized list of words, a translation feature has been added to be a quick first step. Because it's a machine translation, the disclaimer is that the translations are impossible to always be accurate.
After your text messages have been loaded and ranked, you can choose a language and push on a word in order to receive a translation of that word. From the options menu you can also translate all of your words into the language. There is also a refresh option if you ever want to refresh the list to include your latest words since the last load.

I just downloaded this app and needless to say I'm satisfied. It translated my most used words quickly and helped me learn some new words in a new language.
