Awesome
Was really freaking cool. HTC Sensation.
Don't bother
Junk. Only opened my Dx's camera. Uninstalled.
Ok I agree with anyone who put 1 to greater but less than four .. What the hell is this....
This is very confusing. The Smithsonian advertisement says to scan the page, but scanning the page does nothing. There is no QR code; they should have used a QR code for us to scan. I searched Android Market and found this. In it, there is a button called "Explore"; when I press on it, the camera is started. There are no instructions; it seems useless. Then I tried scanning the magazine ad with the application and then that activated something. The problem is that this application is difficult to use while scanning the magazine page but the application stops showing anything when it is not scanning the image. When it does work, I do not undersand what it is showing. The idea of scanning the page is cute but highly inconvenient.
This has the potential to be a really fun app, but do the creators know how hard it is to keep a phone absolutely still? If I move the phone even a little bit the program pauses and goes back to the "explore" page. So then I have to hit the button and go back thru the intro before it will display the "hot spots" agin. Also, after I choose a hot spot to play it might get 10 seconds in before it stops the audio and goes back to the explore page again.
Interesting that it uses the smartphone camera to overlay the show onto the magazine's image. Unfortunately, the exploration topics launched off-screen on my Android device. The topics also end prematurely and kick you back to the start. The app needs a large amount of light on the magazine ad to work, much more than your typical reading light.
This is a good game but confusing but I still understand
Snake won't show up at all
Great fun with my 6-yr old.
10 minutes to download and install a 9MB app to get 30 seconds of not very interesting. Why not just go to the web site?
This sucks! Just brings me to my camera!!
No, it's not an app of an encyclopedia or an indispensable productivity tool. It's a fun, short marketing piece. And it's quite well done. You use the camera to scan the magazine image (a la QR codes). It's so annoying when people slag an app they clearly didn't figure out how to use. Works great on Samsung Captivate.
Worked pretty good but didn't want to play the trailer. Maybe a droid vs iphone app issue? Other features wonderful
How the heck did they do that?
This is a fantastic use of technology and is educational also. Pretty tricky.
Interesting. Will now uninstall.
It came up as a camera no more options
I can't find the snake I looked everywhere its not there
Pretty cool and interesting. (HTC Incredible 2)

Hoping to see the legendary snake...sad.. This sucks! Just brings me to my camera!!
Too much phone memory, not enough entertainment This has the potential to be a really fun app, but do the creators know how hard it is to keep a phone absolutely still?
