Astronomical Coordinates for Android
Since caller ID has NOTHING to do with Astronomical coordinates, can only assume that this is now a phishing/spam and scamware... Uninstalled... Will report this maker for bait and switch...
Newer versions of this app have an enabled-by-default Caller ID feature that, if you're not careful, gives the app access to your contacts and call log and make placing and receiving calls a cumbersome process. An app for converting astronomical coordinates is not something where users can expect such feature to exist, which makes me suspicious about the motives behind slipping this feature through to unsuspecting users. I uninstalled the app after noticing the Caller ID feature, and I'm going to report it.
Free caller ID?...why would this app need to call anyone
The app leaves ambiguity in the formats it expects and what it delivers. For example, in converting from equatorial to horizon coordinates it doesn't specify the epoch. In my own testing I found that it is not precessing from j2000.0, so be aware that it is only converting from the equinox of date straight into horizon coordinates. Also be aware that it is only calculating the geometric altitude; this app does not currently account for atmospheric refraction (normally about 0.5 degrees at the horizon).
is it to much asked for to clear the fields? I always have to delete the 0s.
