Very pretty and sensible device to detect humidity and heater. App can be improved. - Please add your "support" link from your very good web page to app "about" section. - please add a Push button to get instant humidity and temperature. So people will really trust your device. (I don't know why this app give only info from few hours or days before) But I tested the product and it's sure. - please encourage other developers to develop their own app for your devices or to add your device on their app. More apps will be available for your device more your great devices will become popular. Good success to your business.

It would be nice if the last check also displayed the date of the check or said today. Date and time format should also match regional settings of device. Also maybe a reminder option to test your detectors.

The app leaves much to be desired. I can tell all their developers have iPhones. The biggest improvement would be to list full width detailed information on the first screen instead of having to tap on each half width battery widget. Also add firmware version and type of detector to the full width info widget. A warning of when it's time to replace the detector would also be a nice feature.

Cannot even set it up. Cannot connect to the phone. Will likely return the leak detector.

App will not open on Nexus 6P, Nougat 7.1.2

What the hell is wrong with you guys? Why aren't you using sso to sign up and delegations to secondary SSOs as managers and alert recipients?

Used to be a good app. The latest version crashes when trying to snooze an alarm. Using Galaxy S7/Marshmallow.

Roost devices are some of the simplest and easiest to use home automation products around, and this app couldn't be easier to use. Happy to have useful devices that work well.

I am very pleased with the Roost batteries and the support from this company is beyond what can be expected.

Not able to keep app working. Once done reviewing status and closing it will not work again. Must go back play open app and retry which leads me to not set up.

Think I've fixed my basement water issue, and with Roost's assist in my leak dector, I'll be able to respond more timely if I haven't. Thanks.

Previous version worked fine

I bought the battery for $35. The app keeps crashing when I try to add a new device. Do you guys give refunds? Can you fix my issue?

Batteries don't last more than 18 months. Both of mine died within 2 year time frame. Too expensive... Great idea.

When adding a new roost, the smoke alarm manufactured date section doesn't list November or December. After filling out the date, model etc, when you go to view the info, the form is blank. There is also no section to report an issue within the app. Took me 5 tries to pair both of my roosts.

I was skeptical at first but it seems to work just fine. Had the battery for a week now, no false alarms, no issues with setup. I am concerned about all these "cloud" serviced home automation devices, what if they fail, what happens to my data and will there be a way to continue to operate the device without their service... Only time will tell... I am going to buy a couple for my moms house so I can keep an eye on her smoke detectors.

It does everything it's suppose to do, setup was easy

D70%
by D####:

Setup took a couple attempts before app recognized tone. Everything appears to work as it should. However, app reports battery is good - but it chirps. It did this right out of the box on v1.1.something, and continued after it auto updated to 2.02. Will contact support.

This was just not reliable. I wanted it to work. 1 week old battery was chirping. Replaced with a regular 9 volt and that sure worked. Too bad.

I'm revising my rating since Roost sent me an updated "Smart Module" and all is working smoothly now. The connection process was simple, fast, and successful the first time. This device is ingenious and a potential lifesaver especially if you have pets at home. I'd give it a 5 rating if I didn't have the initial problem with the hardware and unresponsive support. My prior review follows for reference: "After initial quick reply from Roost Support I'm getting no response now. I was told that they are

App notifications are completely hit or miss, and it doesn't even bother to tell you when the battery (inevitably) goes offline. The pairing process also seems like it was dreamed up as some sort of practical joke on the user. I would say the only decent thing about the app is it allows you to delete your account with a single button. Thank goodness.

Tooks multiple tries to connect but finally did. It has disconected itself once in the 2 weeks I have had it, but it eventually reconected itself. Not sure what the message "failed to subscribe push, device type must be specified in this operation " means. This pops up every time I open the app. So far as I can tell it is working though.

D70%
by D####:

There is no reason this app needs access to all the information it requested. Then to "sign up" for an account, they want more information. Return the battery before you open it.

D70%
by D####:

Simply the battery doesn't fit my smoke alarm. And my smoke alarm has this security feature that you can't close the lid if there is no battery or it's improperly inserted. So I can't use this battery.

No more 3AM chirps! The app made battery installation super easy, works great!

D70%
by D####:

Took a few attempts to link up to the battery, but eventually did so. Unsure what "Last Activity" is good for as there's no sign of any checking-in. The app also won't allow letters for a UK postal code (AA## #AA format in most cases) which ought to be fixed. Other than that, very clean little app.

6 hours wasted. Won't connect. Buggy. Nope. Nope. Nope.

Different # of beeps on every attempt

Installed in my smoke detectors. All batteries arrived with not enough charge to keep alarms from beeping, even though app stated they all had full charge. Replaced with fresh 9Vs from Amazon. Beeping stopped.
