Simple and does exactly what it says. Allows you to remotely control all the essential aspects of Windows Media Player from your tablet. The server program is small and simple (unlike some of the rather bulky competitors). Keep up the good work!

The trick to setting it up, is to download to pc, then buy the app. It will search for your wifi, then smooth setup. I got charged twice from that mistake.

Good and simple application. Did exactly what I wanted. I only wish that there were more settings in the app to tweak the interface a little. Installed server on Windows 10 without a problem.

I just needed an app for my PC attached TV so I wouldn't have to get up and use the mouse when watching videos with Media Player. The app is clean and simple. Stop, pause, play, and you can also seek to specific points in the video timeline. Great basic app that also allows you to browse your media player content library. You can also start windows media player if it's not running.

This app works fantastic for controlling your media player on your PC. I can control what music plays and the volume from my bar in the basement and the PC is located on the 1st floor. I love it when I have guest over and they ask for a certain song and I pull out my Galaxy Nexus and change it right there. I had a problem with my Norton 360 not letting me load the remote on my PC but the developer answered an email right away and we got it installed. This an A+++++ App

I'm pretty happy with this app. I tried other (free) remote apps for WMP (Banamalon, Gmote, Unified Remote) but this one works the best; simple, pretty much sets itself up and just works. this is the first app i have paid for and is a working product. my phone is a HTC Desire (old skool!!!). This app shows the most complete list of music file types - including showing any playlists you have put together in WMP. Basically, if you can see them in your WMP, you can see them and play them with this app. Despite other comments to the contrary, there is a rudimentary search function - in the list menu that lists artists, hold your finger on any artist name and an "action" menu will pop up with "add to now playing" and "filter" options - the "filter" option will allow you to type and search for an artist. However, any artist you select will immediately start playing unless you long hold and select "add to now playing", in which case that artist will be added to the queue. I wrote this review to encourage you to get it because it works. the more who get it may encourage dev to keep it stong. this works. send suggestions to dev rather than write them here. good app. party helper.

First app I've ever purchased. Don't regret it at all. Microsoft Securty Essentials flagged the PC app as unsigned and something that is "rarely downloaded." I'll assume that's since this is just something from a private developer. Runs fine, does most of what I would like. I play in a band and wanted to trigger the music stored on our laptop connected to the sound system at the other end of the building using my tablet instead of putting my instrument down and walking over, this does exactly that. Great for practicing with recorded tracks. One thing that threw me for a second is that when browsing my music library by artist, as soon as I select the artist, it starts playing the very first track of the first album by that artist. All other albums by that artist and then thrown into one long list. It's fine, simple enough to work around for what I'm doing. A nice feature in a later version would be to be able to drill completely down from Artist > Album > songs of that album and just play the songs within that album (and maybe an option not to just instantly start playing). Still, a great app.

Does what it's supposed to, I agree with the other reviewers, being able to search and create new playlists would really top it off. Looking forward to the update that will provide that. Money well spent.

I use this app every day. It's the best I've found for controlling WMP and latest update offers increased functions. I had a problem which turned out to be WMP related feather than this app, but the developer was extremely helpful investigating the issue. Highly recommended.

I have tried several apps, in an attempt to use my phone and tablet as remote controls for Windows Media Player (WMP), using wi-fi for the connection. I have compiled all of my music on an old laptop, running XP, and I have it running a digital ouput to the stereo system that plays through 10 in-ceiling speakers, 2 subwoofers, 2 outdoor speakers, and 2 floor-standing speakers, all throughout the a roughly 14,000 square foot house. I have tried several apps that are supposed to function as a remote control for WMP, but some were very difficult to set up, required loading several other programs on the computer, configuring my router to forward several ports. Eventually, some worked, more or less, but were difficult to use, or would, often, not work at all. Some used a Bluetooth connection, and worked fine, but only if I were in the same room as the laptop, and this is a huge house. Unless I happened to be sitting in the same room as the laptop, I would have to walk a long way through the house to get within Bluetooth range. It defeated the purpose of the remote control. With this app, I downloaded the free file, from their website, and installed it on my computer. It took about 30 seconds, and required no special setup. I downloaded the app, on my phone, started the app, and the first thing it did was scan the network for a computer with their software running. Within a second or two, it showed me the name of the computer it found. I selected it, then continued, and it immediately connected and told me that WMP was not currently running on the computer and asked if I wanted the app to start it for me. I selected yes and WMP started and I quickly saw the list of options on my phone screen. The app works just like WMP. The left side of the screen shows all the selection options (Songs, Artists, Albums, etc) and all of my playlist. The right half shows what is currently playing, or queued to play, album art, and the volume control. Now, I can be anywhere in the house, or even out by the pool, and control everything, just as if I were sitting at that computer. NOTE: This is NOT designed to stream music FROM your computer TO your phone/tablet. I found countless apps that do that, but it was hard to find a good app that lets me control my WMP, on my computer, FROM my phone/tablet. This app is exactly what I have been seeking, for a couple of years. This is the first app review I've ever written because It's the first time I've ever said "WOW!" within a minute of installing an app. I guess I had become accustomed to being somewhat, or totally dissapointed by countless apps that indicated that they could do this. I started writing this about 5 minutes after I started using it.

am i just missing steps on how to: 1. clear entire playlist (not by removing track by track)? 2. add individual tracks from album view (not add entire album tracks to playlist) ?

Had some problems initially that turned out to be caused by VMWare virtual network adapters. Once disabling those the app works fine. Very happy with app functionality, it will be perfect for controlling my birthday party playlist as I float around the party! The developer was incredibly supportive in helping me to get the app to work, got back to me very promptly and had many trouble shooting suggestions. A very rare and high quality level of service.

An awesome, very purposeful app. Could be made better however by listing artists as a whole, rather than just grouping albums of the same artist together in the album list.

works well, nice and very simple to use. Good application, but improvement though is possible: - more developed search function, the filters are quite basic - artwork for albums browsing - folder browsing

Will run multiple times, but only one will truly connect. This can be confusing. Otherwise excellent.

It wouldn't work at first due to my firewall and antivirus combination being incompatable with each other. I changed my firewall and the app now works well. Big thanks to the developer for his email support.
