About IOIO Script - Easy Programming

Easily write programs for the SparkFun IOIO board using JavaScript. No need for a PC, just edit code directly on your phone (or edit on a PC if you prefer). You can write normal apps too!
- Control 48 digital outputs.
- Read 16 analog inputs.
- Control 9 PWM outputs.
- Control 9 servos.
- Control 4 UARTs.
- Control via USB or Bluetooth.
- Access phone's sensors.
- Send/Recieve commands via Wifi.
- Stream video to your PC.
- Draw graphics to screen.
- Control Lego Mindstorms.
- On phone documentation.
- Plenty of samples.
- Write other types of app.
NOTE: Make sure you have USB debugging enabled and that you have the official "IOIO Manager" software installed on your phone as some boards come with a firmware version which requires it.
NOTE1: The "LED Dimmer" sample will not work on the OTG board as it has no PWM on pin zero.
NOTE2: Due to ADB-USB security changes in JellyBean, only a Bluetooth connection can be used at the moment.

Great little app which runs great on my S II and my Nexus 10. Would be nice to have landscape support especially on my tablet so I can write quicker. Would be great if I could save my scripts to the cloud so I could edit them on my laptop.

This app is elegant in its simplicity, it makes controlling the IOIO a breeze for the novice Java types. Excellent documentation and the developer is very responsive to requests for support. Highly recommended.

Got this up and running very quickly on a 2012 Nexus 7 tablet, connecting to an IOIO OTG via Bluetooth. The in-app examples are extremely helpful, giving you something to hack on without dwelling too deeply into documentation.

I have an early version of the SparkFun IOIO. I'm not able to update the firmware on the board. This app complains that the firmware is incompatible and none of the samples work. Would be a good idea to include in the description which firmware versions are supported.
