RedShield for Android
Not a well-thought out user interface. Yes, it works on my Galaxy S3. But it is ridiculous to have three TINY buttons next to each other (CALLBACK, PANIC & RESET) for such different functions! If you want to set off the PANIC mode, it will be useless if you inadvertently hit RESET instead! The RESET should not even be on the System Control screen - it belongs on the Setup screen, which should probably only be accessible via a separate Administrator password in any case... Then the remaining two buttons (PANIC & CALLBACK) should be resized and spaced out to use the big blank area of screen available.
Do not use this app. It locks out your phone's sms capability, requiring a restart.
Nice app
Using on my GS5. At first it kept freezing when i was setting it up but i noticed the reason was because the mobile numbers were incorrect. I.e. i needed to exclude the first 0 in the numbers as it is replaced by the areas code which is entered in earlier. After the correction it has been working fine.
Working perfectly on Android 5.0.2

App used to work fine. After latest android firmware it crashes at startup. Now its been down for weeks so, alarm remote control wont work. Whats the progress in solving this Red Shield?
Despite being assured by the manufacturers in China that they were working on software upgrades over 3 months ago . nothing has happened ,until it does and then it will need testing do not bother with it you will not be able to control your security system.
Won't work on my HTC Desire Eye. Starts then shuts down immediately.
Absolutely crappy waste of time app
Starts then immediately crashes on both my phone and my wife's, which are different makes. I don't know what version of Android this is supposed to work on, but none that I have.
The app wont open on my lg g3.
Used for home security system. Worked on my old phone, crashes every time on new phone.
Because the time it takes you to download and install this app, only to see it crash directly is more time than it takes you to program your security manually. I also downloaded this for an Apple device, where the software does work, but it's just not a handy piece of software. for one it is only meant to 'set up' the alarm system, and serves absolutely no purpose afterwards. It also wont show system status or anything other than the bare basics to get the system going. And truthfully, the system is fully functional out of the box and just doesn't need any app. It's just to be trendy. At any rate, the software is abondonware, it never went beyond version 1.0, and wasn't developed with modern android compatibility in mind. So unless your android device runs version 2.x, don't bother.
Needed to manually program gsm system first, then try the app it sort of works on Android S 2. App instructions terrible. Avoid red shield if you want to use mobile controlled alarm. They need to update to make it easier to use.
Works great on my Galaxy 3. Would be nice if app had a function to tell you current state of the system.
Doesn't work on Note2 either. Probably doesn't work on any Android since release date. Don't buy this I unless you can test it in the store.
No response from Red Shield via their email either. Pretty much a waste of time.
Does not work on the samsung tablet

Sort of works on wife's apple phone but doesn't work on my Samsung S7. Says sending text but doesn't. Have to shut down and restart to get rid of on screen message. Have emailed redshield but they haven' t bothered to reply. My advice - DON'T BUY THIS EQUIPMENT.
