পূর্ণেন্দুশেখর পত্রী (ফেব্রুয়ারি ২, ১৯৩১ - মার্চ ১৯, ১৯৯৭) (পূর্ণেন্দু পত্রী নামে সর্বাধিক পরিচিত; ছদ্মনাম সমুদ্রগুপ্ত) একজন বিশিষ্ট ভারতীয় বাঙালি কবি, ঔপন্যাসিক, প্রাবন্ধিক, শিশুসাহিত্যিক, সাহিত্য গবেষক, কলকাতা গবেষক, চিত্র-পরিচালক ও প্রচ্ছদশিল্পী।

আমাদের এই এপ এ পূর্ণেন্দু পত্রীর প্রায় ১৭৮ টি কবিতা দেয়া হয়েছে।

পূর্ণেন্দু পত্রীর জন্ম বর্তমান পশ্চিমবঙ্গের হাওড়া জেলার নাকোলে। পিতা পুলিনবিহারী পত্রী, মা নির্মলা দেবী। ম্যাট্রিক পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হওয়ার পর পারিবারিক কলহের কারণে পৈত্রিক ভিটে ছেড়ে চলে আসেন কলকাতায়। ১৯৪৯ সালে ইন্ডিয়ান আর্ট কলেজে ভর্তি হন বাণিজ্যিক শিল্পকলা বা কমর্শিয়াল আর্টের ছাত্র হিসেবে। যদিও নানা কারণে এই পাঠক্রম শেষ করা তাঁর পক্ষে সম্ভব হয়নি।

কলকাতায় অভিভাবক কাকা নিকুঞ্জবিহারী পত্রীর চলচ্চিত্র পত্রিকা চিত্রিতা ও সাহিত্যপত্র দীপালি-তে তাঁর আঁকা ও লেখার সূচনা হয়। পঞ্চাশের দশকের শুরুতে কমিউনিস্ট পার্টির সক্রিয় সদস্য হয়ে পড়লে রাজনীতি ও সাহিত্যচর্চা উভয়েই একসঙ্গে চালাতে থাকেন।

১৯৫১ সালে তাঁর প্রথম কাব্যগ্রন্থ একমুঠো রোদ প্রকাশিত হয়। ১৯৫৮ সালে প্রকাশিত প্রথম উপন্যাস দাঁড়ের ময়না মানিক পুরস্কার লাভ করে। তাঁর অন্যান্য কাব্যগ্রন্থগুলি হল শব্দের ঠিকানা (১৯৭৫), সূর্যোদয় তুমি এলে (১৯৭৬) আমাদের তুমুল হৈ-হল্লা (১৯৮০) ও গভীর রাতের ট্রাঙ্ককল (১৯৮১), আমিই কচ আমিই দেবযানী ইত্যাদি।

সাহিত্য গবেষক শিশিরকুমার দাশ তাঁর কাব্য সম্পর্কে মন্তব্য করেন, ছন্দের কৌশল, প্রতিমা গঠনের স্পষ্টতা এবং কথনভঙ্গির ঘরোয়া চাল তাঁর কবিতার প্রধান বৈশিষ্ট্য।
