হযরত লূত (আঃ) এর জীবনী

হযরত লূত (আঃ) ছিলেন হযরত ইবরাহীম (আঃ)-এর ভাতিজা। চাচার সাথে তিনিও জন্মভূমি ‘বাবেল’ শহর থেকে হিজরত করে বায়তুল মুক্বাদ্দাসের অদূরে কেন‘আনে চলে আসেন। আল্লাহ লূত (আঃ)-কে নবুঅত দান করেন এবং কেন‘আন থেকে অল্প দূরে জর্ডান ও বায়তুল মুক্বাদ্দাসের মধ্যবর্তী ‘সাদূম’ অঞ্চলের অধিবাসীদের পথ প্রদর্শনের জন্য প্রেরণ করেন। এ এলাকায় সাদূম, আমূরা, দূমা, ছা‘বাহ ও ছা‘ওয়াহ নামে বড় বড় পাঁচটি শহর ছিল। কুরআন মজীদ বিভিন্ন স্থানে এদের সমষ্টিকে ‘মু’তাফেকাহ’ (নাজম ৫৩/৫৩) বা ‘মু’তাফেকাত’ (তওবাহ ৯/৭০, হাক্বক্বাহ ৬৯/৯) শব্দে বর্ণনা করেছে। যার অর্থ ‘জনপদ উল্টানো শহরগুলি’। এ পাঁচটি শহরের মধ্যে সাদূম (سدوم) ছিল সবচেয়ে বড় এবং সাদূমকেই রাজধানী মনে করা হ’ত। হযরত লূত (আঃ) এখানেই অবস্থান করতেন। এখানকার ভূমি ছিল উর্বর ও শস্য-শ্যামল। এখানে সর্বপ্রকার শস্য ও ফলের প্রাচুর্য ছিল। এসব ঐতিহাসিক তথ্য বিভিন্ন তাফসীর গ্রন্থে বর্ণিত হয়েছে। ‘সাদূম’ সম্পর্কে সকলে একমত। বাকী শহরগুলির নাম কি, সেগুলির সংখ্যা তিনটি, চারটি না ছয়টি, সেগুলিতে বসবাসকারী লোকজনের সংখ্যা কয়শত, কয় হাযার বা কয় লাখ ছিল, সেসব বিষয়ে মতভেদ রয়েছে। এগুলি ইস্রাঈলী বর্ণনা, যা কেবল ইতিহাসের বস্ত্ত হিসাবে গ্রহণ করা যায়। কুরআন ও হাদীছে শুধু মূল বিষয়বস্ত্তর বর্ণনা এসেছে, যা মানবজাতির জন্য শিক্ষণীয়। উল্লেখ্য যে, লূত (আঃ) সম্পর্কে পবিত্র কুরআনের ১৫টি সূরায় ৮৭টি আয়াতে বর্ণিত হয়েছে। Prophet Lut (peace be upon him) was the Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) and his nephew.
