Equalizer

I've tried multiple other equalizers that say that they work with Bluetooth and Pandora, but they either sound distorted or don't even work. This app is definitely worth the $2 to get the sound that you actually want, without distorting the sound. Works perfect with Pandora too! FINALLY a quality equalizer app!

This app was great for me. All I needed was a little more bass, and it gave me exactly what I wanted, with warm, silky and smooth sound, with no harshness like some eq apps and preserving the depth and sub-bass. Problems specific to the android OS are a total volume (or gain) limit, resulting in lower volume as the eq is used, and boomy, intrusive, rough, high-pass-filtered bass when bass boost is used. I now have no need of Equaliser, as I've discovered a far greater audio DSP treasure... Viper4Android FX.

This app would be perfect if it had three more options. 1. Run higher priority without cluttering status bar 2. Ability to quick adjust or jump to important features from status bar like on and off. 3. Have auto on work with pandora! Necissary feature. Would be nice if auto on could be set for all audio play back like calls then auto off after completion or pause.

The app appears not to do anything at all. I've tried it with different headphones and speakers, but now I don't notice any change when using the preset modes, the bass boost, surround sound or the sound amplifier. This app worked fine on my previous phones. But not now on my Galaxy S5.

Everytime I trydownloading the skins to my Samsung J3, error msg says "you have no internet connection". Didn't pay for this app and spend 1000 pesos for internet connection to have error msgs like these. Fix it please. The impression is bad for business

I bought an LG G4. I use Google Play Music (all access) for my music app. Sound was anemic, to say the least. A quick search pointed me at this app. Thoroughly pleased. On the surface, it's simple and easy to use. But with some hidden tweak-ability. But my favorite feature has got to be the way it switches EQ presets as i play through a diverse playlist. Not sure if i need any of the pro-features, but I'll be purchasing the pro-version anyways, just to say thanks for that feature. Well done!

Good groundwork, but plenty of room for improvement. Even with ongoing notification running, the app gets garbage collected from time to time. Turning it on again is of no use, a message of incompatibility of a sort pops in. Moreover the lack of a plain white notification for SDK 21+ platforms is a bit ridiculous, having​ you encourage sticky notification. Care to provide one? ;)

Improves the sound significantly and is mostly stable. Sometimes it crashes with spotify and doesn't recover until the whole phone restarts. Wish it could have more bands or even parametric EQ, but I'm guessing this is just a frontend for the OS built-in equalizer, so that seems out of the scope. I'll try a few days more before buying the unlocker. Good app, overall. Excellent for the price.

There are bugs in the equalizer for Nexus 5 model , Marshmallow 6.0.1.Each time when I apply presets for any song through Google Play Music , the preset doesn't get applied and bass automatically gets increase detoriating the listening quality. After when you slide the app from recent icons tray , the preset gets applied immediately and again for the next song the listening quality is again detoriated. Auto Preset doesnt work. In short , the app needs a lot of bug fixes.

After trying many equalizers this one kept me coming back. With five level adjustment and auto turn on this app is just incredible! I can bass boost without losing song quality. The upgrade to create your own presets is also worth it. Set up presets for every style of music and even for different headsets and speakers! Not only that but you can access them easily by adding shortcuts to your home screen! This is truly the best equalizer out there!

The virtualizer truly works and makes monaural and stereo sound much more clear and open. There was once a bug that prevented this app from working properly on 4.0 and above, but this has since been fixed. However, it seems that the UI gets uglier as time goes on. Keep it simple, folks.

I have used this app on my last couple phones and it has been amazing. I just got the S5 and this app quite literally only makes the sound worse on this phone. I don't know what the issue is but it kills the volume on the music. With my other phones it improved both volume and quality. I have a $125 pair of headphones with great sound. Please fix. Moment you do I will repurchase it.

Its OK, but not as I expected. Not blown away by the functionality. I like the tiles, but have yet to experience the other sound enhancers on the LG G3, like surround sound. In fact, in most cases the phones algorithm is superior to the presets. Downloading of skins also not working. Contacted the developer but never heard back. I might as well have stayed with the free version since the paid version has not provided me with any benefits.

Only works on a couple apps, some better than others. And the levels reset by themselves. Example: if I set the sound amplifier up all the way and come back to it it will reset without even leaving the app. I only see this happening with the bass boost, sound amplifier, and surround sound. It only needs a few tweaks, please fix!!

So I bought the full version thinking that was what held me back from acessing the bass booster, surround sound, and sound amplifier. However it did NOT. There might be a bug of some sort that won't allow it to operate correctly. PLEASE ADVISE! I will only refund if this is not dealt with. Otherwise great simple eq! May I suggest adding the option to adjust specific frequencies within the 5 band eq. For example: being able to change the 60hz slider to any range desired.. Anyways NEED HELP!

Since I've updated to Lollipop, app has lost all functionality. I thought I'd wait a while before lowering rating, but now, especially as I've seen so many poor reviews by Lollipop users without response, I'm forced to. Also, love the new material design, but please, do bring back numerical values/input. Thanks. I'll also be adding this same review to the Unlock Key page, as well, as a *paying* customer...

This is definitely one of the better equalizers. The genre sense engine is pretty good. However, the customer equalizers are not implemented by the engine. The engine uses the default sets. I understand how hard it might be to change this. I would suggest to the developers allow the user to modify the defaults so the custom equalizers are implemented. Also there is a substantial delay when you start up your music app.

App hasn't given me a single issue on either of Android's latest versions. Note 3, Note 4, 2013 Nexus 7, and Asus Infinity have all performed flawlessly. I kept expecting issues based on other reviews, so I used it for a month before writing this review. All good here

Great job guys - this equaliser app is really good! I usually have it at 100% on all bars (for maximum volume) and I love the bass booster feature as well. @Lassi: Yes it's an equalizer, it doesn't allow you to save pre-sets (unless you buy it) but it does a great job of everything else! Most people don't need presets either, because it auto detects as well. And this is why it's a great app! Note: The only improvement that I would suggest, is to add support (for the auto-detect) for Spotify music streaming? Edit: not working on my Galaxy Tab A. Any ideas?

Control's are Strange and not accurate, moving an efx slider to the wrong spots kills the effect?! But... When you find the sweet spots on the slider the sound control is very powerful and can enhance the audio greatly. Worth 3 stars because of the interface AND worth buying because of the audio processing.

Google owned "Songza". I bought and purchased the "key" to unlock this "Equalizer" app but it still doesn't work! I contacted the Dev which didn't/couldn't offer a solution. My cells (SG3) equalizer sounds better! Fix this issue and my rating will reflect your effort!

This is the only EQ that seems to work properly/persistently with Deezer over Bluetooth speakers. A life saver if you use that combo. Free version with a few limitations, but no ads, which is always a welcome surprise. There are nicer UIs out there, but none worked for me, as stated before.

Guys I know a lot of people have been having the same issue I have... Since the newest update came out the output volume for my cellphone is really low. I hope you can fix this because this was the absolute best equalizer, oh and I'm using an lg g2 mini

Had the app my on HTC one worked perfectly, upgraded to Nexus 6p and can't get it recognise music. The app opens but changes made do not effect the music. I have the equaliser switched on but I assume it doesn't recognise the music is playing as the sound wave at the bottom of the main screen doesn't move. Any advice?

I cant use the amplifier it says i have to low software while im running kitkat right behind lollipop. Also after the update it doesnt sound the same my headphones are louder and have more bass when i have your application off. If you fix ill change rate

I've been trying to find a good equalizer app. I'm willing to pay. Not a problem. When I first tried this one I was so happy. Seemed to have everything I wanted. Unfortunately, after maybe three days, it began to malfunction. It mutes the music way down. I've written the developers, to no avail. There seems to be some conflict with my Motorola Droid HD. It's not like this is an obscure phone, though. Not worried about the money. Just disappointed.

This app seems to have major issues with spotify, a music streaming app i use to play music. The equalizer loves to disable itself until i force quit spotify. And when it works with Spotify, it disables after a new song starts, then enables itself when the song after begins. galaxy tab 3 from t mobile.

It would be 5 stars if the bass boost and surround soundwould work. Didn't even when payed for unlock. But works good for Spotify, Pandora and Iheart raidio. Makes the sound much bigger and boulder. I have a LG Leon could you please fix this. Over all i am happy with it forst one I found that works with all media. Thank you.

All I want is my own EQ curve. That's all. People have been making free VST plugins that that do crazy things for the past ten years and here I am in 2015 and I can't EQ my phone for free. There is no god and no heaven.

I love the auto genre detection. it's stupid at first but if you use it continuously, it learns like a thumbs up would on a music app.

Equalizes only up to 14khz, which makes up for a handicapped app, even in the paid version. Would get 5 stars IF the equalizer had a band for 20khz. Only good enough for listening thru the phone's speakers. Plug into any decent speakers, even to $100 ones, and you will notice the deficiency.

Bass boost works and it got rid of a lot of clipping distortion for me. Kudos!

The sound amplifier appears to not be available on Lollipop 5.0.1 on LG G3. Is this not available for my firmware or something?

I had this app on my RAZR M a couple of years ago and it was one of the best things ever, but it won't let me utilize surround sound, bass booster, or the sound amplifier anymore and those were my favorite features. Could be better.

this app worked very well prior android 5.x but is now unreliable at best, causing very quiet sound if any of its functionality is enabled regardless of settings.

Had this app on my previous phone, Droid RAZR and it was great, complete with bass boost, surround settings and reverb on the free version. Now, I that I have it on my Galaxy s5, you have to pay for a key to unlock those features. It's always annoying to have to pay for what you used to get for free. I'd hate to pay and it not work....will think about it.

I had to uninstall and reinstall to get the equalizer to make any difference. Makes music louder, seems sketchy with blue tooth headphones. Is it Just me or does it keep getting worse? Now it makes everything quieter....galaxy s5, with google play music....i paid for it, plz fix this stuff!

The equalizer part of the app doesnt work with Spotify sometimes. Says my device/firmware may not support the eq, though it works on my stock music player at all times. Please fix and rate will go back up to 5 stars.

This app is not working with my note 4. I paid for full version only 2 bucks. Not a lot of money but still for something that doesn't work. I have emailed them and sent in systems reports with no response in about 2 weeks. Not happy....now been over a month with no response. I will be reporting them to Google. Don't be fooled they truly care less about the customer.

I'm not sure what update changed this app, but older versions of this EQ were great. Now it feels like stunted performance and functionality.
