AudioManager Pro for Android
Have been using this app, PRO version, for years but it is long overdue for an update. It appears that the Restore Ringer setting causes problems with recording video on certain android phones. Disabling the Restore Ringer setting fixed the problem for me.
Been running this app for a few years and it used to be great. Got a new phone running Lollipop and there's a problem. When I set a profile, it used to be that I could use the volume keys to change volume. Now, I can't. I stopped Audio Manager and the volume keys worked again so I know this app is the problem. Please fix.
I have been using the pro version of this app for over 5 years on Droid, HTC and currently Galaxy S7. It provides full control of all audio and vibrate functions. Includes many widgets for customizing shortcuts. If it breaks after a system update, I remove and reinstall. No app updates for a while, but it's still working great for me on Android ver 7.0
I have been using this app for years and absolutely loved it. However, Android 7.1.1 introduced a compatibility issue. When placing or receiving a call the volume levels for Alerts, Ringer and System are muted. They stay that way after hanging up. In addition, this same behavior happens when I run Android Auto. I really hope the developer can fix this issue because it is a 5 star app otherwise. However, after a week I have received no response from the developer.
I liked it enough I bought the Pro version. For a number of months now I've been unable to record videos beyond more than half a second long. After much trial and error, soon as I uninstall AudioManager Pro I can once again record videos. Also, no update in over 3 years. Please fix and I'll rate 5 stars instead of 1. Cannot recommend anymore. Avoid!
Was a good app...But..Seems like the developers forgot all about the bugs? From my S2 to my S4... Till now... No plans to iron out the bugs?? I cant even have my setting saved properly... I hope you guys have not abandoned this app... Cos I'm still using this app even though its a bit quirky...
This app causes sound to go down and up, interfering with regular use. Meaning I miss calls etc. Now uninstalling. Please update me when it is compatible with galaxy note 4 and I will update feedback
After opening it 100 times and having to switch from the Volume to the Profiles view 100 times you're getting tired of this. This developer doesn't understand that we're not sound engineers but just need to change the volume with as few clicks as possible. Yes there's a separate shortcut to the Profiles but that then doesn't have the Lock icon. Nice app if you want to play around with volume, not if you have better things to do.
I've been using this app for years, and used to love it. However, support has been completely abandoned, and many features no longer work. As a fellow dev, this is a huge shame. I would love to buy the rights from them and update it for Marshmallow. Make this app great again!
Only problem is that if I close audio manager on the recent apps bar.. And then reopen the app.. It changes my volume levels (un mutes my sounds).... Hopefully they can fix it.
Updated to marshmallow on my HTC m8, and after that doesn't work. Used to do everything I needed for an audio app, now just tells me it stopped working anytime I open up the app or try and use the widget. Will uninstall and look for a better alternative.
Loved this on my Galaxy S5, but on my S7 edge, it changes the ring tones and notification sounds without a way tell it not to do that. Sick of resetting all the sounds daily. Also, profiles only intermittently change at scheduled times.
If I can get some info on how to use all of the features, maybe I'll like it. Can't find tutorial. Now I cannot turn the volume down! Could be the app, could be I am using it wrong. You can't use any so our software to it's fullest potential without guidance on its best use.
However, recently when I select a profile, it resets all my notification tones back to default and sets my custom ringtone to "unknown ringtone", which is silent. Have missed so many phone calls because of this, before discovering that Audio Manager is the problem! Had no choice but to uninstall.
App has become abandonware. Don't waste your money as it hasn't been updated since April 14, 2013. Unreliable on many newer devices, and it seems unlikely that any further fixes will be made.
I have used this app for years and I have only experienced this issue in the last few updates. No matter what I set Ringer/Alerts to, after awhile it will automatically set them to silent/vibrate. This renders the controls pointless because the app does what it wants. Please fix!
This app use to be great, but now it doesn't seem to work very well. I've set up schedules for different profiles but they don't seem to always activate at the time they're suppose to and the Vibrate when applied function only seems to work on one or two of my set schedule profiles. Quite annoying that I have to manually change profiles even after setting up profiles to change automatically.
Need to be able to separate ringer and notifications sound. Almost a year without update. I hate to pay for apps that stop updating. 4 stars because works for me except ringer and notification sounds not separated.
Apparently doesn't support multiple times to apply a profile. Also, REALLY WISH FOR A COUNTDOWN OPTION to temporarily apply a profile (like in meeting, after an hour would like to un-apply profile). Had to buy pro version just to learn these limitations exist (free version not full featured to try even temporarily).
Ever since lollipop update this app doesn't work. I have profiles for loud and mute. When I click shortcuts it doesn't apply the profile and I have to manually set it each time. Do annoying. This app needs to be updated.
Big Problem This application installed on my Samsung Galaxy S7 prevents my phones camera from being able to record anything, 9 times out of 10. It took me forever to isolate the problem. But this Application IS THE PROBLEM. Sadly, as I was very happy with this app on my S5.
Is there any chance of getting an older version of this app, before the updates messed things up. As this app doesn't seem to be receiving any further updates. End of the day, I paid for this app and I expect it to be fully working.
Just downloaded. The free version is worthless, don't bother. I paid $3 and it still vibrates even on mute. The recent updates specifically said it fixed the vibrate problem. The free apps out there do just as much for free
Latest OS combines ring and notification volume so you can no longer control with the app. That was the while reason for using it. Maybe they will update soon. Don't use if you get a Pixel phone.
[New Moto X] Cannot control media volume unless it's from the app. Uninstalled and control came back. It was effectively locking the volume in place.
Used 2 b great, after Marshmallow update, every time I reboot my Galaxy S6, my widgets disappear. ONLY MY AUDIO PRO WIDGETS DISAPPEAR.
Loved this app for a long time. With the last update it made it so I can't shut off the vibrate function.. even in mute the phone still vibrates.. kinda defeats the purpose of a mute profile.
It locks profiles you make & you can make shortcuts to those profiles & you can backup/ restore your work. The labeling of features makes things clear. You can remove ads for the price of a large coffee. I used to be upset because it rides over custom ringtones but have since decided custom ringtone use is overrated, unless you are legally blind. Besides, later I discovered you can override any globally set ringtones individually on a per app basis.
I have a Droid Turbo and after a lot of research I have found that it conflicts with my camera and I'm unable to record videos... Unless I delete it then everything works fine until I reinstall it.. For years this has been one of my favorite apps... I hope it's fixable
This wa a great app I used till upgrade to 4.3 jelly bean and now kitkat. Main issue now that you cannot control volume using hardware buttons or system volume controls.
Have used this app for years but with lollipop it stopped working. This app has not been updated since beginning of 2013 so stay away.
I figured out my Nexus 5 on Marshmallow would not record video, and the native android camera app would crash. The AudioManager app profile change appeared after the crash so I uninstalled, video would record successfully. I valued the ability to set timed profiles, so I reinstalled again and the error with camera video recording returned. So I've removed the app - noting there hasn't been any update and others have reported similar - until fixed I couldn't use, it would go back up to me liking it if the issue was fixed.
This app was preventing me from recording videos on my Moto X PE which is running lollipop 5.1.1. Judging from other reviews, this app should not be listed as compatible with Lollipop.
I liked it enough I bought the Pro version. For a number of months now I've been unable to record videos beyond more than half a second long. After much trial and error, soon as I uninstall AudioManager Pro I can once again record videos. Please fix and I'll rate 5 stars instead of 1. Cannot recommend anymore. Avoid!
(NEW)4 years, 6 phones, 4tablets, and I still love this app! The older complaining reviews were posted too hastily when OEMs made system changes, before devs even had a chance to update this accordingly. Devs have ALWAYS been quick to resolve any issue on specific devices. (OLD 10-6-12)Love it! Been using for over a year now. Like that it has different themes in it now so I can change the look when it's opened. Also many themes that you can install separately to change the widgets look! Simply perfect!
This app was very useful, but since upgrading to lollipop, I can't make sense of it. Volumes seem to change at random. I set up a profile and save it but the next time I use it, the volumes are all different! Cannot save the vibrate state at all. Uninstalled until it is updated.
I really enjoy all aspects of the day to day use of this app. I use the sprint version of the Note 4 and the app doesn't seem to be recognizing the profile schedules lately. Sprint just updated my phone a couple of weeks ago so that may have broken something. It would also be nice to see at a glance exactly which profile is active. All said, I really love this app.
Using the a saved profiles causes my custom ring tones to reset the device defaults, other wise to would have been 5 stars
Been running this app for a few years and it used to be great. Got a new phone running Lollipop and there's a problem. When I set a profile, it used to be that I could use the volume keys to change volume. Now, I can't. I stopped Audio Manager and the volume keys worked again so I know this app is the problem.
