Smart Task Switcher Key

I was very suprised at how effective this app is. The task switching process on android is clumbsy at best and limited. This app kicks it out the door and replaces it wita fast intelligent, intuitive access point to all your tasks. Everything that's running is accessible at a single click, without swiping, or having to lose your current focus. Maintains a list of tabs showing, Recent, running, favourite apps. The really clever thing this app does is optionally place a tiny clickable floating button on every screen. It's NOT obtrusive, but when you click it shows an overlay of all the tasks in a tabbed format. Click again to get back where you where. Alternatively, you can remap your home button to do the same thing. Yep, you can also kill tasks as well as switch them, but this is not a good idea, unless your memory is low. This app has really opened up my SGS2 with an ALT+tab (windows like) tool that makes the smartphone truly multi-tasking. My advise: don't kill or close tasks UNLESS they use too much CPU, keep them in memory as this saves CPU cycles restating them and thus saves on batery. Full marks to the developer, I bought the paid version, as it's very inexpensive usefull.

I prefer using the Home key instead of the desktop icon to launch Smart Task Switcher. Unfortunately, the developer of Smart Task Switcher has not updated the app for months. The problem with Android apps is that if they do not get updated, they become outdated. The Smart Task Switcher Home plug-in no longer works properly with the newer iterations of GO Launcher EX. The problem is the Home key default setting clears whenever I reboot my phone. When my phone restarts and I unlock my phone, the first thing I see is Smart Task Switcher instead of my home screen. At this point I check the Launch key setting in Smart Task Switcher, and the default Home key action is still set to Smart Task Switcher. Then, Immediately when I exit Smart Task Switcher, the default Home key action automatically clears by itself. When I press on the Home key, I am prompted to reset its default action. It is annoying to have to reset the Home key every time I reboot my phone.

Was warned about this app due to access to contacts permissions which dev says is used in China for advertising. Access to my contacts is invasive & wrong so I hope he removes that ASAP. Doesn't find or kill all downloaded running apps. Always find a lot more in native taskmanager it hasn't picked up. I really love all the other features though & mostly find it a useful tool.

Just wanted to tell you that I only had the free version of your app switcher for s day before I decided to buy the unlock key. I've been looking for an app like this since I moved up to a Droid a year and a half ago. I like the stock launcher better than the others on the market but until now, my only option was to use a different launcher or go without this cool feature. Keep doing what you are doing!
