GameSpot for Android
One problem though, i cant find a way to view articles that i "toggle star" for and they always get lost because new articles keep coming up.
Would rate it 5 stars but it doesn't update fast. My phone will mention a new article but when I open the app to read said article it's not there
Ign app is better. I tried seaching for a game using gamepost and it couldnt find it. Hard to use. When i downloaded IGN it made may gaming life easier. Use IGN instead guys
The app is great however there are some updates that shows in the tool bar but when you access the app you cant find them.
Can not give 5 stars as reviews on the app do not show percentage or good/bad point lists. Should not have to goto website, Every time
Sometimes it shows notifications for articles that will not show on the app, but not a huge issue...
Photos don't load properly in articles are always to big and go of screen, no score shown for reviews. What's the point if you end up having to visit the website to view images or review scores.
Just get a black screen upon launch.
Wondering why I get double notification per each new? Please tell me how to fix it and get your 5th star.
The good/bad/score part of reviews is not included in the app... It's kinda moot to have a mobile app if I have to go to the website to have the complete review...
I think the title says it all. I Funny isn't all that funny!
Cannot find reviews that are available in main site, Uninstalled. The
Doesnt show older articles, only the newest
Love it just lie IGN please come to IOS
I get most of my gaming related news from the gs app..its not perfect...but still not very buggy or problematic...news updates are regular
Uses massive amounts of battery as of late
It need more improvements
It still sucks.
Needs work. But great news
Needs lots of work
I am glad I can get all my gaming news from this app. Other apps from popular sites have been no where near reliable. I have yet to have this application crash or lock up my phone.
The pop-up ads make the app next to unusable at times. To make matters worse, when it exclaims that there are new stories, the app never allows me to read them...
The best app for viewing content on Gamespot. Even better than going to the website.
Easy to use.
Help full for gamers.
The ads get in the way, it doesn't show pictures very well, it doesn't play videos and for more info it sends you to its main GameSpot site as well as other sites. Otherwise its OK for news and reviews (without scores)
Article on actual GameSpot site blocked out spoilers and this app did not. It is not an official app of GameSpot and you may not be getting the correct information. I highly recommend removing this app. I have heard the website is trying to remove this app from the store and it is no longer available on iOS.
Better but still a bit buggy and won't share to Facebook or anything correctly and like its being shared twice but my comments disappear! Wouldn't have expected this garbage app from the tech Gamespot group, really? Strange and suss
App isn't too buggy for me, but the constant barrage of full screen ads that interrupt my ability to actually read their content has ruined this app for me. I'd prefer a paid option that was ad free.
I'm having different issues with the notification and the number of new articles the notification says. It will say 32 new articles when really there were like 7 or 8. Also it won't load some of the articles on the category Gamespot News but it will on the normal Gamespot category, then sometimes the other way around. The ads make the app seem kinda unprofessional and annoying too.
The only reason this isn't a one star review is because the material design is done well. Other than that this app is a bit of a mess and the fact that a full page ad pops up after every other article (or after every article of you read through the whole thing) makes this app unbearable to use. Why is there a "GameSpot" and a "GameSpot News" section with the same articles? Why are there five video sections? Where are the console specific sections? Why is there a "GameSpot Game Listings"? I expected better.
The app is convenient when I need it and the interface is very user-friendly. But I kinda wanna see some way to look at reviews and game news from long ago, a good example was when I read the review of Star Wars Battlefront (2015) and wanted to see how the score compared to the 2004 original, looked up the game and all I found was news of the game that was relevant to the new one, and the articles probably weren't older than a week.
I like the app, it delivers me quick news. However I'm not happy with the amount of Ads that pop up. I'm ok with the Ads down at the bottom but having to click the x up top or close Google play gets annoying. I already have the Uber app why am I getting Ads for it?
Minus one star for weird duplicate notifications (will get a notification in the pull down shade showing two new articles with the exact same title) and a minor annoyance (if I had left the app open to an article, then tapping a notification in the shade won't bring me to the article I tapped, but just back to my earlier article). These are minor things though, and don't prevent my regular use and enjoyment if the app. Keep up the good work.
The people over at GameSpot seem to know there stuff and have a professional way about there reviews for a true gamer this is the app for you
This has great info on all of the betas without it I would be completely lost. Like when I didn't have this I forgot to play the black ops 3 beta but with this I get my hands on all the betas that I want to play. They give dates and time so I can pull out the final count down to my next favorite beta or game. Now I'm to go set one for the hitman beta that will be here in 2 days between 10 am and 1 pm.
With the combination of articles not loading and spammed adverts covering the whole screen or ads such as "your phone is running slow. Click here to fix", this app is horrible which is a shame considering the solid articles they do write, and the main design of the app.
The ads get in the way, it doesn't show pictures very well, it doesn't play videos and for more info it sends you to its main GameSpot site as well as other sites. Otherwise its OK for news and reviews (without scores)
I use it everyday for videogames news. Yet there are too many adds, and a possibility to pay to disable them would make it a 5-stars app !

Great reviewer's now jam pack with all the entertainment I could ask for. Just one problem I wish I could directly access the Information when I click on the app, instead of having to still go through the web site to view it.
