High-intensity interval training (HIIT), also called high-intensity intermittent exercise (HIIE) or sprint interval training (SIT), is a form of interval training, an exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. HIIT is a form of cardiovascular exercise. Usual HIIT sessions may vary from 4–30 minutes. Great app overall, created some great sessions & renamed reps/sets to reflect the workout, however, I can't seem to change the timer alarm from 5s to 10s... plus I'd like more volume control as I use in studio without headphones.

Its definitely better than Runtastic's timer. Nicely designed, precise and customisable. I can turn off the sound and do my workouts based on just the feel of the vibes. Good idea. But I don't understand why the timer bounces on launch. It looks a bit childish.

Great app for HIIT workouts. My only issue is when setting the volumes. When I have set the alert volumes where it's audible through my music that is playing and open the app, it turns up the volume way too loud on my music. If I try to set the alert volume lower I can barely hear the alerts.

Great app! I think "rep" should be changed to set and "set" should be changed to cycle. It doesnt make sense the way it currently is. What is the "fireball" that increases its number over time under the main ticking time?

Great looking app but realistically kinda pointless. Looking at some HIIT work outs where you would prep 10 sec; work out 1 15sec; work out 2 30sec; work out 3 15 sec; rest 1min repeat. If that was an option then this app is just looks no go.

I would give this higher ratings if it had better documentation. Can't find how to customize a session for example. Additionally, the weight log is set by a spinner control and only goes up to 199--sorry, but sone of us are starting a bit higher than that. That defect makes its calories calculator useless. But it is 'pretty'.

Used to use this all the time but it doesn't read my HR from my Wahoo TICKR any more. It connects but just always shows 0 BPM. I sent a report to the developer but there was no response. I guess I will have to find a new interval trainer.

There are several options to custimize the app. Sadly one of these is not working properly: you can switch the orientation to landscape but it only works for the timer itself. All setting pages force you to use the portrait orientation which is annoying. Furthermore I would like to be able to change the color of the background. Since it's very dark I have to adjust my display to be very bright. Then I won't see the reflection of me and my surroundings anymore and can finally read everything effortlessly. But I don't want to change it every time just for this one app. The amount of clicks you have to do to set up your timer and start it is unnecessary and not very user-friendly. The set up itself is easy to use and has everything I want from a timer. The elements which are shown when the timer is running are well arranged and contain some useful information, e.g. the current interval or the overall remaining time.

When you already have music playing with headphones in and open the app it cranks up the volume and I've tried altering settings and permissions and yet I am deafened every time because I forget about it

Pros: I have not yet found a workout that I can't configure this to do. Cons: Some workouts require setting up more than one timer. You have to go to the edit screen to change workouts (more than 1 workout requires an upgrade.) This and Sleep for Android are the best money that I have spent on apps.

When the app is launched, the volume is up around 75% which is if fine if you are using phone speakers but I use earphones and this pretty much annoys me when I start my workout and music blasts way too loud in my ears.
